Even Kiendo's usual carefree attitude regarding other races was ineffective once his life was endangered, "Then... what do we do?" He said, looking between James and Relako, hoping for an answer that doesn't involve an unexpected 'donation' on his part.

"......I need to stay awake....till the ringing cesses....Other wise more than just your life most likely will be lost" he explained. He didnt know exactly what happened when he fell asleep the first time but he knew the result "Until it goes I'll do my best to recover.....if at all"

Relako grinned suddenly as an idea came to him. "Hey, you know what'd be funny?" he whispered in Kiendo's ear. "We should try to make him as sleepy as we can. He said he doesn't feed off humans, right? So you'll be safe even if nothing happens! C'mon, it'll be fun!" So how could he make James tired without using spells? He hadn't used his 'angel voice' in a while, but he it would probably still be soothing enough to too make James weary.

Kiendo leaned to whisper back, "Are you sure? I mean, sure he said that he doesn't bite humans, but from what I understand he doesn't know what he's doing when he's asleep right?"

"Even if his mind won't remember, his nose will." Relako said, tapping his own nose. "He'll smell you have human blood, and leave you alone!" Of course, Relako was lying. In all actuality, Relako thought James would probably go crazy and not care if Kiendo was human or not, which was what Relako would rather see. Either way, it should be fun for him. "Besides, aren't you just a little curious to see what will happen?"

Kiendo didn't notice that Relako was saying this for his own enjoyment, "Yeah, but..." He looked back to James, "But if he actually does attack, then what can I possibly do to protect myself? I don't exactly want to return home avoiding sunlight," He said.

"You still doubt my skills? I can protect you easily. I'm an angel, why would I let an innocent get hurt?" Relako replied, pulling out his most reassuring voice. It was his hardest voice to resist, which he used a surprisingly small amount. After all, he rarely dealt with people that could be swayed with conventional logic, so he was more used to twisting peoples' deepest fears to make them do what he wanted. "And I have spells that can stop with without hurting him, so there's no danger to him either."

Kiendo finally folded to Relako's will, "I'm not really curious about what James is like while asleep, but if you want to know so badly and you can protect us, then by all means," He said. He still didn't sound as brave as he should. In fact, he sounded more scared than brave at that moment.

"You guys do notcied that I can still hear you" he said looking at Relako with a glare "I dont think you would like my other side" He said shaking his head to stay awake "I may still have that ringing in my ears, that doesnt make me unable to hear what's around me" he said still using the wall for support

"What should we do then?" Kiendo asked. He had no idea what he should do. He contemplated leaving them alone, because he was unable to protect himself in case the Vampire decided to attack him.

"James, you're a vampire. You have an advanced sense of hearing. Of course we know you can hear us." Relako said with an almost musical laugh, switching to a voice that was abnormally soothing. It was the kind of voice that just made people relax, even if they didn't want to. "Just rest here for a bit, and we'll take care of things? You don't have to sleep."

James bit his lip making sure that he stayed awake. Silverish blood flooded from the cut. He glared at Relako "You dont have any idea what you're getting this innocient person into" he snarled baring his fanges at him

Kiendo sighed, "This is troublesome... If I shouldn't be here then I will leave," He said. He thought that he would finally have a good lead to learn more magic. He was hesitant on the thought of leaving, but his life is more important. He couldn't help but sound disappointed at the idea of leaving.

"Relax, James! I won't try anyway!" Relako said in that same voice. He ususally saved this voice for convincing people to do things for him, but he found that it often had a drowsying effect of people. "Kiendo and I can go search for other traces of magic in these ruins while you rest here. That sounds like a good idea, doesn't it Kiendo?"

Kiendo was glad for the escape from being turned into a Vampire, "Of course!" He answered quickly, "There must be something useful in this place," He said and motioned to further inside the building they were in, "You can calm down more if I weren't here anyway, right James?" He asked with a weak smile.
