"I made sure they were more available to people upfront than having to go all the way through the ship to the clothing area, just up in that little room there." The Professor tells as he points at the room where Iris got the coats.

Feeling she needs to defend her home state Andi refutes this conversation. Even though it does seem rather cold out there...
"Well actually, it's not too bad in the L.P. It get's pretty hot during the summer. It is kind of eratic weather though. One day, everyone's running around in t-shirts and shorts, the next day there's a half a foot of snow on the ground. And besides, it's not like England is all that warm."
Still, she grabs a worn, mid length, brown leather jacket on the way out. Once she gets it on, she steps out into a small yard surrounded by trees and filled with flowers and fallen leaves. In the midst of it all is a slightly shabby, but comfotable looking old cabin. She's home. And judging by the cars in the driveway, so are her parents.

The Professor nodded "Well yes I think that mostly all over the world that it gets freezing at some point so we should be all thankful its not sixty below." He chuckled as he walked out of the tardis.

Suddenly excited to see her parents, Andi runs up and knocks on the door. It is opened by a shortish woman (about 5'3") with long sandy blond hair who looks rather young to be Andi's mom.
"Surprise!" Andi exclaims as she envelopes the woman in a hug that is returned with equal enthusiasm.
"Andi! What are you doing here? Why didn't you tell us you were coming? Did you get a taxi at the airport or something?"
"No mom, I brought some friends. They kind of gave me a lift." she turns to introduce everyone, "Mom, this is the Professor, and this is Iris. And this" ,pulling her mom forward "is my mom, Kathryn Cole."
As she says this both she and her mom are caught up in a sudden hug from behind by a bear of a man with a thick mustach and dark brown hair shot through with grey.
"What are you doing standing out here? Can't even come in and say hi to your old dad? Well we'll see about that!"
"And this," Andi says while laughing and trying to return his hug, "is my dad, Jim Cole."

Iris nodded, shaking Kathyn's hand. "How do you do?" She raised her eyebrows. She did look pretty young to be Andi's mother.

The Professor nodded and extended his hand to Andi's foster mother and foster father and smiled "Its good to meet you both, Andi wanted to come by and I was curious about the fob watch she was talking about."

Kathryn is a little nonplussed by the Professor's sudden change in topic. "Fob...what now? What's going on?"
At this point Jim takes charge of things and starts hearding everyone inside. "Well, whatever it is can wait a few minutes. Everybody inside, and get the door closed. It's freezing out here. Come on. Care for a drink anyone? Snacks? We were just about to start supper."
After the general bustle dies down somewhat Andi settles in next to her mother and tries to calm her nerves. "Mom," she hesitates, "Do you remember my old pocket watch? The one I had when you adopted me? I've been thinking about it a lot lately. I remember you used to say it was magic. And the Professor seems to think there might be something unusual about it. Anyway I was wondering If I could see it."
Her parents both sit quietly for a moment before answering. Her dad breaks the silence. "We almost hought you'd forgotten about that. Wait here. I'll go get it. I think your mom has some things to tell you."
((I'm going to pause here for now. I'll get more of the conversation up tomorrow but I think I'm going to post the rest of it as seperate posts for each of the Coles so that the two of you can get involved in the conversation if you want. The beggining of each post will be labled with the name of the character speaking. Unless you prefer me to just get it done in one massive post for all of them. What do you think?))

The Professor had a wonderful time with a few snacks and drink but he was curious about the watch and her. He heard they were going to get the watch so he waited patiently for them to return. Though he was curious as to what her mother had to tell Andi,though he some how knew what it would be.

Iris looked to The older woman's pained face, feeling pity for her. If there was something going on with Andi that the watch was protecting, Iris knew her parents would be reluctent to show it to her. Iris felt her legs growing numb as she sat down with everyone else. "s**t" She mummered, falling asleep on Andi.

She doesn't want to do this. After so long, she hoped Andi had just forgotten about those things or moved on. Silly really, her whole life Andi had never just forgotten a question or a puzzle. Once in a while she would set it one aside for a time but she always came back to it in the end. Untill she found the answer. And these weren't just any questions. They were the keys to her past. Just as well she supposes. Maybe her and Jim's questions will be answered along with Andi's.
"Andi, do you remember when you first came here? You were only ten... You had such terrible nightmares. And you had the watch. Nothing else. You didn't remember where you came from, who your real parents were or what had happened to them. All you could tell us was your name. Andromeda. Have you ever tried to remember back to that time? Before that time?

Andi:
"Of course I've tried to remember. But I can't. It's like walking into a room just after everone's left it. You know there was someone there a moment ago, but now it's empty. There's nothing. The first ten years of my life are a blank. How could I leave that alone?"
(quick exception for a one line post from Kathryn)
"Your father and I...we hoped the life we gave you could be enough to make up for the lack but...I'm so sorry."
Andi leaned over as far as she could with Iris on her to hold her mother.
"Oh, Mom no. I love you and I love Dad and I love my life. I never wanted another one but if it were you or Dad...If you were missing ten years of your life, could you just let it go? Anyway, I don't understand. What does this have to do with my watch?

The Professor had sat down and looked to Andi and them telling them "It has everything to do with the watch, when you get the watch, it will answer all your questions and answer many more that will have."

Who was this man that seemed to know so much. He reminded her of someone...
"He's right Andi. It has everything to do with your watch. You used to say that it sang to you...Sometimes I could almost hear it too. Those stories I used to tell you about it being magic were based on that. But it's more than that. When we adopted you...There was a man...he just dropped you off on our doorstep with that watch and no memory of who you were. He just..rang the doorbell and said he needed "our assistance". He told us that you had been sick and that that watch was your birthright. It seemed so strange at the time. Then we turned around and he was gone. Leaving you here. You were asleep and when you woke up you just seemed so lost and alone. We loved you almost from that first moment when you opened your eyes. We reported it of course but you were no one. There were no missing children matching your description, no medical history, nothing. The social worker said it would be difficult to place a child your age, especially with you memory loss, and we loved you so you were ours. But you never let go of that watch, it was almost like it was a part of you. For so long I was afraid that man would come back and take you back."

As he returns to the living room, Jim overhears the last of his wife's story.
" And then one day you gave the thing to us. You never did tell us why, you just asked us to keep it safe. So we have. I thought you would stop by after what happened last year with those Dalek things but you seemed to have forgotten about it. Anyway. Here it is."
With that he places a old carved box on the coffee table.

The Professor looked to the man "Daleks?! Here on earth? At this time and year? I remember them.........I remember them well from the year 2264 where they took over the earth.....beat them back and won......can you tell me more about the daleks and how they got here?" he said thinking back to that terrible time when he was in his first incarnation.
