I read the forum before joining the guild and I have a question. How is your character's occupation decided?

Occupation? As in what class they are? Mage, Cleric, Warrior, etc?
All that is up to your imagination. (Within Reason)
But as for things like House Mage of Rylinndar (A City) or Weapons Master of Rylinndar, you have to ask the House Leader (Usually the Matron). If you want to be a Matron of your own House though, then you have to make your own House entirely, or convince another Matron to bequeath hers to you. (Which is highly unlikely)

Hello. I'm pretty new, don't have a character yet. I've never played one of the underraces before, so this should be interesting. ^.^
If I can figure out how to do it properly, I might try my hand at being a Drowgar (my own word for a Drow/Druegar hybrid), just because I like a challenge. ^.^

So I don't think a drow would willingly mate with a duegar.
