Kanna lunged at the sword and Nikolai. She grabbed the sword and was able to pull it out mostly with her new found strength. Then she attacked Nikolai and sliced him practically in half.

Nikolai fell back his other arm fell off, he grabbed the seal by his mouth and jabbed it into Sparda's heart. Sparda screeched in pain, he fell to the ground unconsious.

Kanna quickly went to Sparda and pulled out the seal. She said a healing spell over Sparda and all his physical wounds healed. Unfortunately her strength was running out. Even with her new powers,. She stood up and charged at Nikolai.

As soon as that happened priests came from the tower and grabbed Sparda. The seal had worked for now Sparda could not help Kanna, Nikolai tried to reason with Kanna, "Why do you serve him? Power? He has granted you power and now you are almost as strong as him. Please stop this the war must end." Sparda spoke through Kanna's mind, "Don't allow them to use the blade that is the only way to kill me the fools can't hurt me only wipe..........." Sparda went silent, he was not dead just his power grew incredibly weak. Nikolai looked at Kai, "Please I have no arms stab me with that seal spike so I may fight on."

Kanna glared at him. She had never before glared at a human before. There was truth in his words though. She was almost as strong as Sparda, but it was too late to turn back now.
Kai nodded and grabbed the seal and was about to thrust it into Nikolai's heart.
Kanna had grabbed Kai's arm and held it tight. "I'm sorry." She said and threw him back.
Kai fell hard. He looked up at Kanna in surprise. He felt even more surprised at what he saw.
A single tear rolled down Kanna's eye. She grabbed Nikolai and thrust him into a huge rock extremely hard. Most humans would have died instantly. "I'm soory Kai. I'm going to have to break our promise....." She said. She grabbed one of her swords and thrust it at Nikolai.

Nikolai felt the blade sink in and he smiled, "Then we are doomed." Nikolai fell to the ground dead. The crusaders were about to lose the battle and the advancing vampire army seemed unbeatable.
Suddenly there was a explosion inside the Holy Order HQ, priests and knights alike ran from the tower. Sparda walked out of the tower with pure red eyes and his bat wings unfolded, the beast had been unleashed. Sparda was no longer in control as the beast took over and Sparda ran at the human army and the vampire army killing both just for blood.

Kanna was shocked. She had never seen Sparda act like that before.
Kai ran over to Nikolai and tried to heal him, but he was already dead. "Kanna, don't you see? Sparda only wants you to kill humans. Is that really what you want?" He asked.
Kanna looked at the ground. "I don't like hurting humans, but.."
Kai cut her off. "This isn't protecting humans! This is slaughter!" he yelled. In a second he was in front of Kanna. "Kanna, this isn't you. What happened to my caring little sister?" He asked
"She grew up." Kanna replied.

Sparda had no control over his body, Sparda ripped through the armies slaughtering them easily, Sparda ran up to the human general and grabbed him by the throat with his fangs and ripped him in half.
Nikolai strangely started breathing but in gasps, "Kai..... the blade...... use it....... to seal...... Sparda." Nikolai reached for the spike but couldn't grab it, shortly after he died.

Kai was taken aback by Kanna's words. He snapped out of it when he heard Nikolai. Swiftly Kai grabbed the blade and charged at Sparda.
Kanna ran after Kai and got between him and Sparda. She knew that Sparda would kill Kai if he got close.

Sparda was still killing and as Kai got closer Sparda got weaker. Sparda kept feeding and killing even though he was getting tired and hurt because of the blade.

Kanna forced Kai back. "Kai, I don't want to have to hurt you." Kanna said.
"Kanna. I'm sorry, but Sparda has to go." He said and tried to get around Kanna.
Kanna caught Kai by his waist and threw him back as far as she could. Before Kai recovered, she ran to Sparda and tried to say a healing spell over him. It worked, but not much,. Her strength was also weakening. Also, she had to force herself to stay in control from her vampire side.

The Consul of the Holy Order opened the seal that was used inside the tower, "....... and let the abomination be cast down and sealed to bring divine punishment!" Suddenly lightning hit Sparda and almost in a instant Sparda vanished.
The vampires fighting retreated and started running toward the east. The Consul respected Kai for protecting Nikolai and ordered that Kai and Kanna be protected. "Sparda is not dead knights, and as long as the Order stands we must hunt him down! He now is in the guise of another vampire so we commanded in the seal that he would remember none of this for if someone opened the seal he would remember who he is and what his goal is! Now even though he is somewhere we know who his successor is, we must now rebuild and let our descendants know what we fought for!"

Kanna almost collapsed when she saw Sparda disappear. "No.......No, no no!" She said. Kanna tried to run and find him.
Kai grabbed Kanna and held her tight. "Kanna! Stay! Even if you find him, he won't know who you are!>" Kai tried to convince her.
Kanna had tears rolling down her face. She couldn't gather up any strength. Suddenly she collapsed from exhaustion.

The consul saw that Soko led the vampires into retreat, "Well then Kanna I guess you are the new leader of the vampires.... I hope this means a truce between The Holy Order and vampires. We shall not interfere with vampires that you command and you shall not attack the Holy Order..... deal?"

Kanna satred at the man. Something about him seemed wrong. She looked away. "Let me sleep." She said. Then she tried to stand up, but she fell again.
Kai caught her. "When she wakes up we will talk to her." He promised.
