Universe flinched again. "If you cannot see it, then there is no use for me to try and tell you what's there." He shrugged, putting emotions away where they couldn't be reached. In truth, he'd dealt with too much pain to really take on more at the moment. Even though he wanted to take hers on, to make her feel better about her.

Universe appreciated her efforts, but he was not without his own powers and rid himself of her joy inspiring power. He had driven two people away whom he cared about. He deserved all the sorrow and misery that was thrown at him.

It was not until a full fifteen minutes later when he would hear hoof beats from the direction Lilly had run off, some one approaching.
