Mira walked after Cirro and sat next to him. She was excited about the hunt and had a extra energy to run off. She leaned against him, growling lightly teasing him into playing.

Bianca nodded to Zephre with a laugh at his clumsiness. Then her ears twitched and she turned around at the entrance of the den to face the approaching Brindle, Kiros, Cirro, and Mira.

"Yes, Brindle, once again, Calyn may stay here. Even Zephre prefers she does too," Bianca laughed, bowing a bit to Brindle in returned. "It seems my den is quite the center of attention as of late.

Bianca stole secret glances at Kiros as it appeared she was merely looking at Brindle. She wouldn't give him pay back quite yet...

Perhaps if he were closer.'

Bianca attempted to hid a sly grin.

Konya picked up jasper and sat him between her paws. "That's enough little one." She started to clean his head again. "It's not nice to pester your elders." Some of the other cubs started to climb on her wanting to play.

Zephre lowered his ears indignantly, "now you're making 'old' comments Konya?" he questioned teasingly. "Really, you're as bad as your son" Then he chuckled and leaned closer to the young Jasper.
"I was supposed to be an outrider." He whispered as if it was some great secret.
"My father was one of the best, he wished that I follow in his footsteps...but...then I fell ill." Zephre put one of his great paws gently to his cheek, just under one eye.
"So. I became a healer, to make sure no one gets sick again." He finished with a nod of his regal head.
"Hey!" Zephre's ear flicked around to where Tami was being pinned.
"Be careful with my apprentice, I need her you know."

Brindle didn't mark the den leader's actions. She simply nodded in reply and peered into the darkness, catching sight of Calyn.
"Take it easy all right? And don't let the cubs push you around." She winked at the panther. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

Calyn nodded meekly, amber eyes meeting Brindle's gaze for a moment before she rested her head on her paws.

Tami laughed, flinching as a cub fell off her back to roll across the floor. Any worry was gone as he pounced on her head, laying on top of her head and neck and messing with her ears. "Hey, I need those..." she objected weakly, shaking her head lightly to get him to stop.

Seph gave a slight sigh, seeing the others had followed Brindle, though she hadn't actually gone that far. Shaking his head slightly he padded over to join the others, staying at the back of the group, his tail still twitching eagerly. Looking over everyone once, seeing who was there, who wasn't, he started pawing at the ground impatiently, ears flattening a little as he waited.

Kiros did not notice that bianca was glancing at him while she was looking at Brindle. He tried to act as he normaly would around the others. He was quite eager to start the hunt just as Seph was. Kiros let out a small sigh of boredom, he did not like to delay the hunt one minuete. He waited, however, though for his leader to command them to go.

Thela nodded slightly when Mahora suggested she not spy, and instead suggested Gado. Gado was trustworthy; he knew what he was doing, and he had more patience than Thela.

After agreeing to keep her silence about the council, Thela too left quickly after Mahora, though further behind the cheetah. She idled behind them, waiting for their conversation to take place. There was little else for the jaguar to do, as a patrol would be starting soon.

With those words Brindle withdrew from the den, noting her hunters had followed and looked as eager as cubs.
"Well then. Let's get started."
She wasted no more time, dashing forward and taking the beginning of the journey at a quick lope.
The western lands stretched in a rolling grassy expanse. Small hills rose and fell like the waves of a calm sea. This was to their advantage as it was easy to hide from view of entire herds.
The sky was a brilliant blue and in the distance great pillars of cloud rose up like mountains just above the horizon.
It did not take long to reach the edge of the main pride lands. As Brindle looked over her shoulder she could hardly see the small clearing in the grass that marked the nursery den.
She continued on without pause, listening to the rhythm of her paws as she galloped through the short grass.
Though she was heading out into open grasslands the forest would eventually curve round and meet them. Driving a beast into the forest was Brindle's preferred method to catch it. A large animal would need to slow down and Brindle had ambush hunters waiting when it did.
The first signs of the herds came upon them not long after. The torn grass and trampled earth, along with the pungent scent of their fur made it too easy to track them.

Just as soon as Birndle finished her statement and took off Kiros took off as well. He did not run as fast a chettah or Jaguar but he could still run as fast as most. He usually took the spot of ambush hunter when they hunted in packs like this. Kiros often enjoyed ambushing prey from a tree as a panther would. When the came upon the tracks of the the herds Kiros became serious. His whole demeanor changed from excitement to all buisness now. He knew that they would reach the herds soon and in light of this a smal grin came acrossed his fac.

Bianca laid back down in her den by the opening as the hunters left. She was a bit anxious for some food but spent the next few minutes tossing cubs around with her paws as they nawed at her.

"I am not a rubber tree limb you silly things," she jested and tossed them after from her lighting as they got right back up and attacked her paws again in a sort of game.

"You are perhaps the most inconspicuous of the pride Gado. Brindle and I need to watch each member carefully for suspicious behavior, and we need you to report it to us immediately."

Mahora spoke smoothly, calmly, and without falter. His haunches were tight, his tail wrapped around him. Already, the tense situation was getting to the young cat, and he felt he needed to be ready to spring at any moment.

Azure listened silently as Gen explained everything. As soon as he was done, the small ocelot was gone. Body low to the ground, he slunk around the outer boundaries of the pride, his fur camouflage against the scenery.

Cirro growled in reply to Mira's, leaning towards her slowly. But just before he could do anything else, Brindle had come back outside and declared the hunt now ready to start. Cirro jumped to his feet and raced after his leader, keeping pace with Mira. His ear flicked, and he glanced at the other Clouded Leopard running by his side, both their tawny-black mottled pelts blurring in the mid-morning sun. As they ran over one small rise, the hunters bounding together as one, Cirro veered off slightly, following after Kiros - Cirro would be an ambusher as well, well trained, as well as working with what mother nature had given him, in working from the tree tops.

Jasper wiggled as his mother picked him up, again. "M-om," the panther whined, his tail twitching as he tried to duck out from underneath her tongue. "I was just asking!" But before he could protest any more, Zephre had leaned closer and whispered his great secret. "Really? Wow! Could you teach me some moves?" he asked, his eyes widening in awe. After a moment, he remembered his mother's words and ducked his head, before speaking again, "You're a really good Healer, Zephre." He didn't think this was "pestering", so his mother couldn't get mad at him... could she? He shot her a curious glance, his gold eyes dancing as they met Konya's light blue ones, and he grinned playfully, his pink tongue flashing quickly.

Mira followed after Cirro. She wasn't nearly as skilled at hunting with a group but she could ambush. Her ears pointed straight forward as she looked for the perfect tree. Even though she spotted a few she would wait and follow Cirro and Kiros to pick a tree.

Only a few seconds after Brindle took off, so did Seph, not behind her, but off towards the forest. When they went by this strategy, he always preferred to stay with the ambushers. His kind were skilled climbers, and also his thick fur put him at a slight disadvantage in the current heat. As he weaved between the tree's, he looked for a discreet claw mark, something he'd left behind once to help those that had trouble remembering which set of tree's to wait in. in one smooth motion he went from the ground to the tree trunk, and up to the branches, staying within the leaves to remain out of sight. Then, he simply waited.

Gado nodded to show his understanding of what Mahora was asking of him. Letting his left ear give a slight flick, and allowing his nose to twitch momentarily, he thought something over before speaking "I believe it would be best if I report to only you, not that Brindle doesn't need to know, but I believe if I started making a report to Brindle, whoever may be up to something may catch on" The old cat said gruffly. It was true, at least in his mind, if he was to watch for suspicious activity, it was best to not start looking suspicious himself.
