"Helen!" Lin exclaimed a bit pissed off that her brother was trying to get Arwen into this as well.

Honestly she just wanted to swear her head off at times, but she couldn't! It kind of made her want to throttle something, why couldn't she be put into a kimono or Chinese dress or something a bit more traditional?

"You told Mom you would be making a kimono!"

"But dresses are the most fun to make," Helen smiled not at all put off by the fact that Arwen would want to put restrictions on what he made.

After all, everyone in the family did that anyways, and looked how well he followed that. Nor did he seem disturbed by Lin's accusation since it was true as he turned back to his sister.

"And I did, I already know it fits, but I wanted to see you in this," Helen replied calmly, "I think it would look very cute on you."

"You should alter it for mother," Feng murmured, "She would wear that, and anyways...."

The mermaid gave Helen an innocent look.

"We were going to see the Queen, so you'll have to wait to dress Lin up later. Should I suggest next time though something like a female version of what Donovan wears."

Arwen grinned at Helen. "Well then once we've met Ninako ... and settled into our rooms ... well and rested, I'm filthy and I'm tired ... maybe tomorrow then, maybe tomorrow we can work something out, how does that sound?"

She grinned brightly at the boy (girl? boy? She honestly wasn't sure) and then skipped off after her parents and brother, who had continued on down the hall as if nothing out of the ordinary was going on.

Serenity laughed at Lin. "Come on, we're going to see the queen. Are you going to come with us?"

Beren chuckled at Lin. "Well, with you here, I have to say it's not going to be boring ..."

Serenity couldn't help but laugh at that comment. "Beren, dear, if anyone is going to make this trip not boring, it's you."

Considering he had 'died' over fifty years previous.

Lin looked between Serenity and Beren, for a moment she didn't really get what Serenity meant, until she remembered who exactly Beren was. She hoped that Atayla would be okay seeing him.

"If you think I'm interesting, you have to meet the rest of my family," Lin told Beren, "You haven't met everyone yet, Serenity kind of has.... but that number has probably changed and grown..."

Grown as in grown up.

Arwen looked thoughtful as she followed Feng down the corridor, in what direction she could only assume led to the queen's study.

"I don't know," she admitted. "It was just sort of sprung on me, so it's not like I had a chance to plan anything."

Serenity laughed at Lin and squeezed Beren's hand tightly.

"I hadn't forgotten," she smiled wistfully. "I look forward to spending time with everyone here ... if they will accept me."

After all, Gion, Elnara and Elrohir were the only of her children who even knew she was still alive.

"But come on, let's see the queen," she urged Lin. "It's been nearly sixty years since I've been here, I don't remember where her study is."

"You mean back when you stalked him as a Surprise," Feng murmured with a giggle, "I wished I could have seen that, it was probably so cute. Though you could probably still pull of being cute."

She grinned impishly knowing how Lin still rather not be cute, but seriously. Lin still had those big eyes, she was cute. Turning back to Arwen, Feng looked thoughtful.

"Maybe you should be asking for a kimono, the cut is usually the same even though the design is always different."

Feng nodded at this, "It's a type of robe that we wear, the cut is simple, it's the design painted onto the fabric is the hightlight of it. It can be as simple or complex as the person wants it to be. Mother often wears a formal kimono and will probably be wearing one for an occasion like this."

She wasn't sure how else to describe it, it was to her a pretty simple thing except for the design.
