As Gairus heard an approaching turbolift, he rose from his leaned back position and awaited it. "Daco. What did you need?" Asked Gairus, as Kalin and a new person; female, came out of the lift.

Deakin quietly left the ship, hand on the blaster grip. He didn't want to get yelled at for leaving the ship. Approaching the turbo lift, he called it and waited for it to reach.

"Ex-military." Kaleb chimed in as Kalin made the remark, blushing a bit at the comment the big man made about him having a significant order."If you weren't exactly helpless, why'd I had to beat those poor fools up back in Paradise City?" He joked and nudged her with his shoulder.

"No, no questions here."
He crossed his arms and stayed in the turbolift."I'll see y'all later, I'm going to look at my work station a bit more." With that, the lift closed and shot up to the bridge.

Mareal shrugged as she looked at the weapons laid out before her on the bed. Her Bryars, the SR rifle, and the shotgun all sat by each other. Last, her lightsaber sat at the very edge. She was carrying enough weaponry to start her own war, and she was tired of fighting.

“Vat must stay, and vat must go?” she asked herself. The rifle had several modifications it could turn into, and the small hold out blasters didn’t take up much room.

“Dee shotgun definitely can go. I should hafe gotten dee folding stock. I can survive on my small pistols too,” Mareal muttered, pacing the floor. She knew those would be easy to get rid of and sell. The lightsaber still called to her. Fifteen years worth of longing, and it didn’t give up. “Sorry, you must go too.”

Picking up the small silver hilt, Mareal took the lightsaber apart piece by piece, keeping the lens and the crystal in her pouch, and rearmed herself. She packed up, and took the turbolift down to the main level, and exited the Ruusan. She figured it wouldn’t take off in the next ten minutes, as she went several blocks to the pawn shop.

Niomie felt her face flush as it turned a brighter shade of red. “I…I…I was doing just fine.” she stammered at Kaleb. “And I would have gotten away from them when they tripped over your bike you know.” She said, planting her hand upon her hips as she gave him a sideways look as the doors top the lift closed.
“Boys.” She sighed shaking her head after the lift door closed.

Xan grew fed up trying to tweak the same toys over and over again. The card launcher and the various quick-draw devices made good effort to keep lubed and in working order, but there was only so much you could do. Even the blasters in his boots only needed so much cleaning to fire properly.

Xan wasn't a man who used a room on board the Ruusan for much. There was a place he felt safer, a place he enjoyed far more. Taking the turbolift down to the hangar, it was no more than four steps before a big orange repulsorlift-sized dog came bounding.

"'ey bub. Watcha up tah?" He said, giving a pat onto the little dog. "Wanna play ball?"

The beast knew exactly what those words meant. Xan reached into one of the saddlebags, but the dog wanted to drag Xan along to show him something. At least, that's what it seemed like with the empathatic link the two had. It trotted over to a fancy swoop, dripping on the bottom half of the bike. Xan just clutched his head in his hand, laughing at the scene.

"Oh boy. Jus' look cute if anyone asks," Xan said, reaching for the ball. Most people think a ball for a creature would be rubber, perhaps filled with air and easy to toss. However, when your 'dog' has teeth that tear through most armor plating, you have to change the 'ball'. This one happened to be coated with a thin layer of durasteel, and had a central pylon to prevent being destroyed too quickly in a single bite. Two small handles allowed Xan to toss the thing like a discus, though he'd eventually design a launcher for this toy too.

With a loud grunt, Xan heaved the ball, as it bounced along the hangar floor with its usuall metal-on-metal pang, before rolling to the other edge, as the game of fetch began.

Kalin crossed his arm and chuckled to himself at Niomie's frustrations. When he heard Blikk, he spun his head around, leaving his body to face Niomie for the most part.

I was gonna take you and Deakin through your duties and responsibilities. I am now the Boss of you two. So you ask me stuff about what needs to be done, blah blah, not Jag. Which means the job'll be a little more laid back, but if you screw up, it's me on the line. So we'll make sure you guys know how to do everything. But right now I'm helping out Miss Niomie, so we'll do that fun stuff later. Dismissed. Haha, always wanted to say that.

He turned back to Niomie and shrugged.

Is there anything else you need? I'm free until the pre-launch hull inspection. All I would end up doing is going to talk to Laura or working out. Cause I can't gamble or drink while I'm on the clock! Haha!

“Um, I don’t know, this is my first time working on an ex-military ship. Is there anything different than on a regular freighter that I should know about?” she asked looking up at Kalin. “And what’s that panging noise? Is that normal?”

Gairus nodded. "I'll be in my bunk." He said, stepping back into the turbolift and moved his way to the crew quarters. He grabbed his jacket and put it on his desk, and lay down on the bed, relaxing.

Kalin's head perked as he heard the pang that Niomie was talking about. He waved his hand for Niomie to follow and he walked around to the hangar, the place where the noise was originating. When he cleared the corner and saw a gigantic animal, his instinct was to draw his knife and ready himself for it's attacking leap.

A fat toydarian fluttered around the shop, cursing himself and several things which Mareal picked up on. She couldn’t speak the language, but the Force translated for her instinctively, a passive power she rarely liked using.

“I vant to sell dhese,” she said, eyeing the flapping fatso.

“You want to sell them? I can give you one hundred for the lot,” he countered, unimpressed by the weapons array she was showing.

“One Hundred? Five hundred, dey are in prime condition. That is dee listing on dee book in dee latest Blaster endusiast.”

“Two hundred, no more. They’re used, taking off fifty percent on the value.”

“Four hundred.”

“Two fifty.”

“Dree twenty-five.” The flying pile of flub rubbed his chin, before agreeing finally on the meager price. Custom serial numbers and consecutive numbering, and all she could get was around a hundred for each weapon.

Walking out of the store, Mareal gave a sigh as she went to an antiques dealer to sell the lightsaber crystal and a glass shop to sell her lens, fighting over the price just like the pawn shop owner. She barely got two hundred more credits, a complete ripoff compared to the sentimental value that she had invested in each of the weapons. She quietly tossed the hilt in a trash compactor, turning it on as she walked away. Sadness entered her heart, as it’s voice slowly grew dimmer.

“There is no emotion, only peace,” Mareal whispered to herself as she returned to the hangar, and the Ruusan.

Niomie raises one eyebrow inquiry at Kalin’s gesture but she shrugged her shoulders and followed him anyway. As they rounded the corner she almost ran into him as he suddenly stopped, looking past him her eyes widened as she saw the beast. “Frack, what the hells that?” she asked, taking an involuntary step backwards.

The giant akk dog bounded towards it's ball, but stopped short as a man posed with a knife threatened it. It's spade hands clawed into the hangar floor, as the razor teeth bared.

"Frak, what the hell's that?" Xan heard, as he lazily walked over. He noticed the knife in the man's hand, and decided to address the threat first.

"Ah woudn't do tat," He said, pointing to the knife. "'e just wans 'is ball. Yeh woudn't do much wit te blade anyhow. T'ere skin be blastabolt resistant. Even te eyes can take damage."

The Akk dog continued to give a low growl and keep on his guard as long as the man had weapon drawn. Xan walked by the pup, patting it, and picked up the ball near Kalin's feet.

"See?" He said, tossing it away from the group, as the orange reptomammal chased after it with blind devotion. "'e's a 'armless wuss. woudn't hurta bug. Wanna toss te ball? 'e'd enjoy it."

The turbo lift reached Deakin and he hopped on, heading for the lower levels. His hand was still on the blasters grip. Reaching the bottom level, he looked around. He needed some help as to when the ship would take off so he could get his last minute supplies.

In his office cleaning his pistol, Jag eyed the clock on the wall. Time was counting down until take off. It was annoying to have to wait five more hours until take off, but with the amount of traffic Ord Mantell was subject to, there was little he could do about it.
A scrapping sound came from his door and the Captain stood up and opened it.
Jango scuttled in and clawed his way up to Jag's shoulder to perch, his neck coiled in agitation and his tail rattle shaking.
"Saw the Akk dog, huh?" Jag said to the tailring, who hissed in a low, sinister tone. "Big thing aint it? Dont worry. If it causes a problem I'll space it. Besides, it wont be on for long."
