Lothiriel giggled, not at all embarrassed by the sudden attention or the stare or comment of her uncle.
"Thank you," she said brightly. "I look forward to our visit."
She turned her laughing eyes towards Elrohir. "And yes, I have been told quite often that I look like Mother ... and she and Father send their regards, to both of you."
She set her bag on the floor by the wall and brushed her hands together. "I think I should wash before eating, though," she suggested. "And Pen will have to, as well ... could someone be so kind as to show me where I can wash?"

Miyu looked up at Lothiriel with wide eyes before softly speaking up, "I can.... mi..."
Her little black wings fluttered, she remembered where the washing place was... and the towels.

Donovan looked up and had to admit if he hadn't know that Nayda probably would never want to travel if it could be helped, he would have sworn it was her. He should see why this really surprised Elrohir.
Lin giggled as she made her way over to him, climbing up onto a chair to sit beside him.

Lothiriel had never met Donovan or Kara face-to-face before, but as always she knew who they were.
"Thank you, Miyu," she smiled down at the girl, putting one hand gently on her shoulder. "That would be very nice of you indeed."

Elrohir on the other hand was, as usual, a few steps behind everyone else.
"Wait," he murmured, looking down at Lin curiously. "Who's Pen?"
After all it was the first mention of him that he had heard - sure Ahren had told him that his niece would be coming, but nothing about anyone else.

Miyu smiled and pointed back out of the dining room, "We need to go up the stairs, that's where you can wash up."
She was getting better at this.
Kara smiled fondly, it looked like Miyu made another friend, Yue should be happy.

Lin peered up at Elrohir looking very innocent indeed, even though she knew the questions were going to ensue.
"Pen is the person travelling with Lothiriel, he's outside talking to Daeron," Lin explained.
Donovan wondered if Lin pointed out that Pen was male on purpose...

Elrohir blinked at Lin, then nodded thoughtfully. He would have to have a talk with this person and find out more about him ... though it appeared that he would have to wait his turn.
"Maybe I'll just slip outside and meet him for a minute," he murmured, heading for the door.
"Don't be too harsh on him," Haradhel called out as he husband left the room. "You'll scare him away."
As soon as Elrohir was gone, she turned back to Kara and added, "But that's probably his entire goal."

Lothiriel smiled warmly and reached for Miyu's hand. "It sounds as if this is a very big house," she murmured. "My parents house isn't so large. It's big, yes, but not this big, even though my grandparents live with us, too."
A sudden image flashed through her mind, and she smiled down at Miyu again as she started for the stairs.
"So I understand that your father knows my parents," she said cheerfully. "He went traveling with them once, I guess."

Miyu nodded, "I don't really know how, Uncle Yuki said that he and Daddy met your Daddy before I was born."
So she didn't know much on the situtation in question, she had never met Gion before, though Lin had.
Kara laughed a bit at that, she would wish the luck to this Pen then. It sounded like he should use it.
"As long as they don't stay out too long interrogating him."

"Well, I warned him that they would ask questions," Lin spoke up like she was not surprised at all.
She wasn't, truth be told, and she wasn't ovely worried neither.
"I don't know why, Lothiriel is good at threatening him by herself, even the boys were afraid for Pen."

"That was even a long time before I was born," Lothiriel nodded thoughtfully as she followed Miyu. "When Ada was living at the castle with his brothers. But after ... what happened, he went to the plantation and just before he and Mother were married, Donovan and Yue and Triton went on a trip with the two of them ... that was when they discovered that the dwarfs were stealing children to use as slaves, and that was when your grandfather decided to start hunting the slavers."
She smiled at the girl. "The beginning of all of this."

Haradhel looked curiously at Lin, her dark eyes clouded with confusion.
"Threatening him?" she repeated softly. "How so?"
Now this sounded interesting ... and good for Lothiriel.

Miyu looked up with a smile, "It is a good place," she murmured.
Just a few more stairs she thought, she reminded herself to go to the closet for towels.
"Daddy hasn't been in this world for a long time."

"Well... she whacks him, like the way Mommy does when Daddy swears," Lin pointed out, "But she also threatened to take away his manhood."
Donovan nearly choked on that, though it made him wonder what exactly Pen had tried to do to warrent that threat. It wasn't why he choked though, he was just waiting for the question....
Lin noticed her Daddy was watching her, "What?"
"I'm waiting for you to ask."
"Oh don't worry, I thought Miyu might know so I'm going to ask her."
He paused... he thought about it, Miyu would know, but Yue wouldn't like it.
"Please don't."
