Once, we handed the tuba section leader a drumstick, and he put it in his tuba and launched it onto the football field from the bleachers. (Needless to say, the football players were not amused. twisted )

Folsum once chased there people who waldked by when we were marching and yelled" F*** you vickings!! "with a pair of drumsticks and then threw them and they hit one of them. sweatdrop

When we get borad befor pratice the trombones and the trumpets would blow spit balls out of our horns. we turned them in to wars, and we kept score

I dont know if any clarinetists have posted this cuz I was too lazy to read through 20 pages of this...but I used my instrument as a javlin...but I never intentionally threw it...either that or a machine gun confused *edit* the only ammo I had was my one and only reed, haha *end edit*
last year when we had four tubas (now we have one...I might switch to tuba...haha) they ALWAYS had foghorn fights, it was great haha

Kommandant Wiesel Kommandant Wiesel Hey. Here you can tell people the silliest or most interesting thing that you or someone else has ever done with an instrument! For instance, if your band director threw a drumstick at a lazy trombonist last year (he missed), post it here! I've not done this yet, but I plan to take a picture of myself wearing a sousaphone... then animate it firing lasers like the Death Star. xp Additionally, and I'm sure that every sousaphonist has done this at some point, I've put the bell just over peoples' heads multiple times and blasted like a foghorn. whee i have done this, but i don't play the sousaphone anymore.

what is really is that i am seccond to shortest in my band. so the barry sax is almost my hight. since i am the lightest girl too, they have tried to put in lockers, trashcans, and once the sousaphone. the people who play the sousaphones in my band are my friends, so they made me carry the sousaphone alot. they have a photo. it is actully quite hillious, because i am falling down.

This one kid in my band, he's a trumpet like me, and everytime we aren't supposed to make any noise on our instruments, he makes some kinda noise, so a trumpet section leader one game (the 7th i belive) took his trumpet from him, and later had to take his mouthpiece, it was interesting to see him reach into my over-coat (it was cold and rainy) and try and get it, cept it was in the other pocket xd
He such a retard

It was really really really cold one night last season, and it was dark so my friend and I decided to blow steam from our clarinets at each other xp

We took two trombones and played a game of catch by loading tennis balls into the trombones and shooting them accross the football field during a rehearsal break.

We've used flutes as lances, and the pit carts as horses and have had full on jousting competitions. xd

I one summer used my flute case as a change holder when i went to play my flute it would play right. I looked down my flute and found a coin stuck in it. blaugh

Well lets see. One of my friends took a trombone and turned it into a lamp, then another turned his into a bong. I got to school one day and went into the instrument storage room and someone had filled one of the bari saxs with ketchup(luckily it wasn't mine)...and I mean it was completely full. Then there was some ketchup on the bass drum. Some of my friends on the drumline have had interesting experiences. They put playboy pictures on the inside of their bass drums to look at through the little holes while they marched, and once they fit one of my friends inside one and put the heads on. Another person I know got into a knife fight at a football game: the other guy had a knife, my friend only had a flute, so he knocked the guy unconcious with it and bent it severely. I took all my saxophones once and handstood on them to see how long I could keep my balance. During a marching show once, one of the runners hid in the ghetto rigged drum equipment and came out in the middle of the show. My friend Travis found a dead badger inside his baritone after leaving it up at the school all summer, and just recently we built an upright out of metal and took naughty photographs with it wink

We once lined up all of the drums in the line on the ground, with the bass drums on their sides, and we took drumsticks and tried to get them to bounce all the way across and touch every drum.
