Aliya grinned at Ryu and nodded. "Aye, by the time they're all washed up, Shael will have dinner ready." She paused thoughtfully. "Does Tao know to stay close? Or ... does she need ... some sort of restraint or something?"
"Do we have to go in, Mama?" Adan called from Tao's back. "This is fun!"
"I haven't been back very much either," Daeron shrugged. "I'd like to see Mother more, and Earendil and Tinuviel ... but I'm afraid Father needs to chage a bit more before I'll be able to spend much time around him. I know he's changed a little bit, but he's still ... him."
Amdir blinked. "Well ... I ... if you say she's safe for the children, then I have no objection," he agreed. "Of course I'd have to talk to Aliya about it ..."
He thought about the problem of the griffin not seeing people as a threat. For the most part, that would be good - considering how often people from the ranch went to the valley to visit, or for information, or whatever ... but it was people that the children would need protecting from.
"Perhaps it's best to introduce her to eveyone, and train her not to let any strangers near," he murmured thoughtfully. "Otherwise ..."

"Tao will stay close as long as she knows where we're going, that way she knows to be here, since she tends to go off and hunt unless it's winter, in which she waits to be fed," Ryu patted Tao on the head.
Tao cooed at the petting she wasn't really sure what they were talking about but somehow she had a feeling dinner was involved, and she was sure she saw a squrriel run past before.
"Give him time," Triton murmured, "At least he's changing, even though it's slowly. Granted I haven't really talked to your father, no one in my family has except Lin."
"That would be for the best," Kara admitted, "Otherwise I wouldn't know where to begin with people, she knows several commands but that's only from her original training and the fact she could be ridden."

"That's good," Aliya smiled, folding her arms across her chest and leaning against the door post. "Now Adan, Adwin, it's time to come inside and wash for dinner. I don't have the energy to run after you today, so come on."
"Aww," Adan pouted; but he gently put his weght back a bit to stop Tao, the same signal used for riding horses bareback, and murmured, "Stop, Tao, it's time for supper."
Daeron nodded. "Aye, I know. Time."
He grinned. "Though I heard about that talk Celebor had with him. Brilliant. I only wish I had been there to see it."
Amdir nodded. "Where is she right now? I'd like to see her, if I may."

This, being something Tao was familiar though, though she did better with verbal commands than motions, she stopped. Looked over her shoulder and blinked curiously at Adan. While she was willing to go off and hunt, she didn't understand why Adan wanted to stop.
Perhaps he wanted to hunt too? Wait... fledglings didn't hunt, they were fed, he wanted to be fed?
Triton chuckled at that his tail unwinding and swishing back and forth as he was pleased with the thought. He understood what Daeron meant by that even though he had only heard bits and pieces of what had happened.
"So I've heard... more or less, though with Serenity there it was bound to happen...."
"She's with Feng and Ryu at your place," Kara replied, "There was worry she would scare the horses."

Adanedhel patted the griffin on the head and murmured, "Good Tao," then turned and lifted his little brother off the griffin's back, helping him carefully to the ground. "Careful," he murmured.
"I'm okay," Adwin grinned, hitting the ground and grinning up at Adan. "Come on, Mama wants us for dinner!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Adan muttered, climbing down from Tao's back as if from a horse. He patted Tao once more and murmured, "Good Tao," before turning to Ryu and grinning. "Come on, Ryu-kun, dinner!"
Daeron nodded. "Aye, from what I hear, he wasn't too impressed that either of them were there, really. Still, whatever Celebor said to him, he needed to hear it."
"Ah, good," Amdir smiled widely. "Then I'll head home and see her now. I don't need to worry about her attacking me when I get there, do I?"

"I'm coming," Ryu replied as he patted Tao on the head, "Go hunt," and with that he joined Feng who grabbed his arm and dragged him inside.
Tao chirped before ambling to find something quickly so she could come back. She was pretty good about her food and she was sure there was a river near by which meant fish, fish meant good food and good food meant a happy Tao.
Triton nodded in agreement, "I won't disagree with that, though I can't imagine him being impressed with Celebor after getting punched the first time he sat down to have a meal with him."
Kara smiled softly, "Your only warning is that she'll want attention if she sees you, or if she's eating dinner she'll try to share it."
That she never quite got Tao to stop doing, though fortunately the worse case she had was the liver of something in the greenhouse though what it was Kara wasn't sure if she wanted to know.

Adan grinned and took Adwin's hand, leading him back to the house. Aliya made sure they were both inside before she also headed in and closed the door behind herself.
"Feng," she murmured, "I really hate to ask this of you ... but I really have no energy left ... can you take them to the back room and make sure they wash properly, all three of them? Quietly if it's possible, I'd prefer they not wake Adonijah."
"Yeah, come on, Feng-chan!" Adan grinned as Adwin started off down the hall. He darted over to Alyse, who was still sitting by the fireplace, and grabbed her hand. "Come on, Alyse!"
"That was Father's own fault," Daeron replied immediately. "Even Mother agreed that it was best for him. He needed something to make him listen, he would never have listened to anyone otherwise. Who knows? Maybe someday he'll be bearable."
Amdir chuckled at Kara. "Well, that's fine, as long as she doesn't expect me to eat it with her. I'll see you all tomorrow, then." And he waved and left once more, heading for home.

Feng smiled and nodded as she followed the three children, "Don't worry I'll get them nice and clean."
At least she would try, she was sure it couldn't be that difficult to get them clean, they were good kids after all.
"Maybe... maybe with more visits he will be," Triton mused taking a glance around the table, "After all, the castle gets a visit once every month or few months, and Elnara is getting married and wants to be married there.... so there will be a lot of chances to suck it up and get use to it."
"See you tomorrow," Kara waved a bit.

"This way!" Adan grinned at Feng, leading her to the very back room of the house. Alyse and Adwin ran ahead of him, opening the door and rushing in.
The room was quite sizable, considering the size of the house. There were several washbasins lined up on cabinets along one of the side walls, and there was a large wooden tub against the opposite wall. In the back wall was a door that was barred shut.
Aliya sat down on the couch again (or collapsed into it, really, she was so exhausted) and smiled wanly at Ryu.
"So Feng tells me life is still the same for you," she murmured softly.
Daeron grinned an glanced over at Elnara and Lore. "Aye, I'd heard about that," he said with a chuckle. "Hard to believe she's getting married ... I mean, it's not, but at the same time it is."
On that note, he turned to face the two of them and grinned at them. "And if my aunt is getting married," he laughed, "I would like the honour of getting to know the man lucky enough to have her."
He held one hand out to Lore, smiling brightly. "Hello, I'm Daeron. Nara-thêl here saved me from slavers when I was a kid. I understand you're the lucky one who gets to become my uncle!"

Lore smiled as he reached out to shake Daeron's hand, he had heard of him but had never met the man. So this was a good thing to be able to do really.
"Yes," he laughed softly, "Yes, that is the way it is."

"Yea...." Ryu murmured as he took a seat, "Things haven't changed overly that much since the last time we were here. Not that it's a bad thing..."
He mused on this, but even he, the person who was calm and liked to have calm things about him would admit life had been very... quiet.
"I guess we just need something to do."

Lin hadn't really noticed the time before, and had thought of it as her father went about meeting people as usual, when she saw him pass. Probably to talk to Celeborn before going off to simply check up on people.
He needed a vacation, did he know that?
When she did notice the time, she noted that they would have to go back in for dinner soon and the last thing she wanted was to run all the way there. Granted it wasn't so bad the first time she had done that.

Shiro glanced over at Lin, seeing out of the corner of his eye that she seemed to be distracted by something - but as he looked over, he suspected that he might know what it was.
"It appears that the sun is going down," he murmured softly, his red eyes shifting back to Lin, flicking one ear forward. "Should we still be out here? I know Grandfather just passed us, but ..."
Somehow he had the feeling that it was time for them to return inside.
Elnara smiled brightly at Daeron. "You've grown up quite well," she said warmly, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "It's good to see you again, Daeron."
She couldn't quite help but see him as the small and excitable boy she and Triton had stumbled across in the forest, but she could see how much he had grown, matured, and though he still seemed rather excitable he was ... quite different.

Aliya's eyes sparkled mischievously when she heard that, and she leaned forward slightly.
"Then I'm going to suggest to you what I suggested to Feng," she grinned. "Why don't the two of you come and stay here for a while? Maybe half a year or a year or something, I don't know, and we could go traveling, perhaps, if Adonijah's old enough and Amdir and I don't go having more kids in the meanwhile. I wouldlove it, and I know the kids would, and I'm sure that Amdir would like it, too!"
Daeron smiled brightly at the two of them. "Well, I'm glad you finally came here," he told them with a chuckle. "Nako's been going on and on since I came to live here about how you were going to come and visit, and how I had to meet Lore, and see both of you ... not to mention, meet all my cousins." He laughed. "You've got to have more kids than Nako ever had, and she's got just about the largest family I've ever heard of!"
Elros smiled at Shiro, then nodded. "Yes ... the sun is indeed going down," he murmured. "I'm sure that it will indeed be getting close to dinner time. Haradhel is always quite punctual. And Donovan, I'm certain, will be heading back inside soon, he's probably going to talk to Celeborn about the trip ... though I wonder if someone might not want to go get Miyu ... she's still in with Aragost."
Celeborn was just leaving his quarters, warmly wrapped in his cloak, sword on his back, quiver at his side, bow in his hand, and heading down the hall towards the stairs. He could hear footsteps coming from the direction of the first floor, but there was always someone coming and going, so he thought nothing of it - until he turned the corner at the bottom of the stairs and just about ran into said someone.
"Excuse me," he murmured, stepping to the side, not recognizing Donovan because of the blackness of the corridor.

He had to chuckle at that, because Aliya seemed very eager at the idea, not that he could blame her in the slightest. It sounded like a wonderful opportunity for the both of them. Besides it wouldn't see that long and it wasn't like the two had anything better to do.
"Hmm.. that certain sounds appealing to be honest," Ryu smiled at that, "Feng I'm sure jumped at the chance."
