Senritsu made sure her head was up as she continued her excersizes, watching him as he tossed his rock at the little beast to be. "Hm," she thought about the advantages of having someone like Karite as her friend. He was probably more skilled in many things than she was and would be a great addition to Sukotto in the friend catagory. Not to mention it would give her time to learn more about people. She'd learned this boy's name, and that he had a favoritism towards physical things, not to mention he was partnered with a lion just as the wild girl from before, placing him at a more than 80% chance of being related to her in some way or another. Her green eyes burned into the male as she listened to him talk about the incident with his smaller friend. So, he was also a couple with Orika. "Not being allowed to carry weapons isn't so bad. I have yet to carry any sort of sharp object. I think I'd probably hurt myself in some way or another if I carried around a pencil let alone a weapon." She gave her poor attempt at a joke with a straight face as she continued to do her excersize. "Yes, I suppose someone who acts like him could get under someone's skin quite easily. Though, I really don't care either way. Rivalries aren't my thing. They are pointless and have no use other than to fluster someone and get them thinking unclearly. If you merely see someone as a slight nuesance and shove them aside of your thinking you are able to formulate a plan a lot easier than just basing them on emotions and how you feel towards someone. As for the good inside, perhaps, though his 'I'm superior' attitude fails him to show it." Her hearing picked up the creature as he growled towards the male she was talking to, "I don't think he likes your aim."

Shisei winced at the thought. To find a partner for the next part of the training? “Why do I have to find a partner among them… how unappealing.” the serpent youth though. He was about to reply to elder boy, but he had already moved on to scraggly looking girl and then left off to some other location. There was a time limit to this too. Searching around, amber suns took in visual of everyone at the site. “There is Karite…, Orika…, Kane…, the apprentice girl…, and that boy with orange eyes…”. All unattractive choices. Except maybe for Kane and the new child. Those had done nothing positive to win Shisei’s favor, but at the same time they hadn’t done anything negative. “If it is the same jutsu like the girl learned I probably need a partner to play some stupid tag game with.” for a while the snake was considering to just wait and train with the impolite genin instead of someone in his class. Hands on training with an older student would probably be more beneficial. This also brought Kane up for consideration too. The new kid could also be a possibility just to analyze him immediately and discern whether he’d be a threat or misnomer while the snake child stayed in Shimagakure. He closed his eyes thinking to himself just who to go to. His brain finally decided on a target. The same apprentice that the boy seemed to hold dear. The girl had just finished the training so Shisei could probably examine and learn how she became adept in such a short time and finish it even quicker. It would also be a time to see just what her capabilities are. Was there some hidden power lurking within her? Is that why the rude genin favored her? Or maybe Sukotto just had some perverse reasons. Shisei wouldn’t put it past him after his first five minutes of being in Shimagakure. Turning to look down at the girl who spoke her mind about too freely the serpent youth would speak. They were discussing something about weapons. “Heh…” the boy thought. Technically the trio was not supposed to be allowed to carry weapons. If they only knew the amount Shisei had. Perhaps once the festival began again he’d go off and do some practice with the tessen. That would be more fun than whatever the next game Ero-sensei had in mind. “Someone like you would probably hurt themselves from just a pencil.” the serpent said with his eyes glaring down at the girl. “Get up. I need a partner for the next training and you’ve already mastered the jutsu making you the best candidate. “ the Orochi maverick ordered. It would be slightly interesting to see if this person had any type of talent. That or perhaps the rude boy was mistaken about her. Shisei hoped to soon find out.

Karite couldn't help but to laugh. "You seem to know animals pretty well. You should consider a partner yourself. Nothing better than someone you can always count on." Karite was surprised a shinobi that didn't have their own kunai and shuriken. "Its quite odd. Must shinobi would kill for even the essential weaponry. With enough practice they can be an extension of your own body. They have done me much good. Well my staff has anyway, I cant say much for my Kunai and Shuriken." Karite turned and looked at Kore, "Are you mocking me?" Karite said with a smile. Lets see how hot you are with this throw. As he switched hands to his off hand the boy threw the rock letting it curve drastically. "Your going to get in trouble one of these days for being so cocky little buddy." Turning his attention back to Senritsu. He had thought of a rebuttal to her rival statement from earlier. "All rivals are not built on emotion. Orika is my rival in strength. She is much stronger than I am and that pushes me to get stronger. Maya is a much better fighter than I am and that pushes me to get more experience. My rivals are friends and family. They push me to become better and I in turn push them to do the same."

Kore was surprised the girl knew what he was trying to say. For one who hand no connections with animals the way Maya and Karite did she was fairly quick with that one. What was also surprising was the quick throw from Karite. The curve was a new twist the cub had never seen before. As he wonder what to do quickly the cub jumped up on his hind legs and let the rock curve behind him. There was no telling where the rock would fly. It was defiantly a sneaky move by a sneaky boy. As the cub landed it growled a little more before sitting down and licking its paws. The boy wasnt offering to much of a challenge today. He was lacking in the necessary concentration. Or maybe the boy needed bigger rocks.

“Feh…. So you need other people to push yourself to train? You’re not that determined on your own?” Shisei questioned Karite in a mocking tone. He had sat by quiet with all their chatter, but there was only so far the snake could ignore such droll comments. Rivalries and friendship? That’s like saying enemies and family go hand in hand. “What an unintelligent notion. A rival is nothing more than an enemy before you. There is no such thing as friendship in rivalry.” The serpent then put his gaze back on the scraggly girl. “As for you, apprentice of rude-sempai, the importance of a rivalry is to grow stronger. When you destroy someone of equal level or higher then you can truly see the fruits of your training. Now get up and make your decision.”. The snake said waiting for the vixen’s decision. Even though the boy was still turning in his head whether or not he preferred to train with Sukotto or not, the dread hair may as well have a person ready to use if need be.

Senritsu lay on her belly quietly, watching as Shisei seemed to have an inner battle with himself on who should be his partner in crime on his final part of the training. She then smiled at him as he pointed her out as the one he wanted to partner with."Too true, then again, I'd probably hurt myself with my own fisted hand," she continued on to Shisei remarking on her own comment about herself. "There's nothing wrong with being clumsy, it just means you're human. Though, I couldn't say the same for you, you neither act, nor look it." Senritsu could see the glare in his eyes as he watched her. "Don't boss me around. I don't work for you nor do I have any reason to listen to you. If I choose to do something with you then it will be of my own mind not because you or Sukotto wish it to be." Senritsu took a moment to look at the boy with a rather solid look on her face. Neither hatred, irritation, happiness or sadness showed, nor did any other emotion. It was mere waiting that appeared on her face. As if she was waiting for another move from Shisei to occur.

But her eyes weren't locked on the boy for long as her attention was easily caught up by Karite once more. "Know animals? No, not really. The growl indicates unhappiness, and you'd just thrown a rather bad stone. It was easy enough to tell he wasn't happy with it. As for having one of my own, I am barely able to find food for myself, having to deal with another mouth to feed would cut down my effeciancy and I would inevitably starve to death in a matter of weeks." The male continued on speaking and Senritsu kept herself laying on the ground, watching the little lion as the two boys continued to play their game. "I'm not into weapons. I'm not into fighting period. I'd rather stay back, away from the fight than have anything what-so-ever to do with a battle." Rolling over onto her back and then pushing herself up so she was sitting, Senritsu sighed. "Perhaps for you people, rivals are essential in progress, as for me, they are no use. I wish to have no part in it. I don't need them. I have no desire to beat anyone in anything and to just merely go about my own business with no problems." Senritsu smiled as Karite threw a much better stone towards the animal. Seemed he liked that throw a bit better, but wanted something more.

And once more, the snake child butts in. Rather annoying, and he thought Sukotto to be the rude one. Interupting on someone's conversation was defintely something to not want to do if you are proclaiming another person to be rude. "I am no apprentice," Senritsu told him once more, nothing more than a statement tone. "Hm...I don't really feel like standing at the moment," she continued on as he finished speaking. "I'm rather comfortable where I am." Yawning, she laid down, closing her eyes and thinking about whether or not she should just humor the boy by going along with it. That and Sukotto would probably enjoy seeing the two partner together. He was looking at the two quite a bit earlier, perhaps comparing them as she'd thought. "Hm...very well. Though so you know, I really don't care if either of us tags eachother or not. I'm not really into the whole game type things." Standing up with a bit of a groan, she cleaned off her backside and got ready. "So, let's go ahead and get this under way hm?"

"I'm in a little bit of a rush since I want to finish up the training Sukotto gave me so lets not take too long hm?" Senritsu said as she put her weight on her left leg. The way Sukotto and her did it the time before was he took off after her and tried to tag her. So in this case, Senritsu was the tagger and Shisei had to dodge. Senritsu knew it wouldn't take too long seeing as Shisei had more training than she did. "This shouldn't take too long. You're stronger than I am so it should be pretty easy for you. Or maybe that's why you chose me. Just wanted someone easy to beat." Shrugging, Senritsu charged towards him. Waiting to see if he'd be able to dodge her. She had decent speed but nothing compared to what most shinobi would have at her age. Perhaps she should have taken time to go to the Academy at least once in the past few years. Maybe then she'd know what she'd been missing.

The girl winced and tried to redirect more of her chakra to the ropes, but she couldn't feel anything, much less a tingly magical energy source. Oh, wait, what about that numbing feeling that started off painless, then built to a dull roar, finally escalating to a prickling ache? Orika bit down on her lip and reminded herself that it was just the ropes and that she mustn't lose focus. However, this was no easy task as Karite suddenly burst into the grounds. Orika quickly wiped the last of the dirt on her sleeve and put on a giant smile at the sight of her boyfriend. "Haha! If only I had more than just strength!" Orika cried out in reply, falling over again as the bonds ripped at her dark hued skin. It was humiliating to have to endure this while everyone else was training things they wanted to. All for a stupid headband, too! But Orika forced herself to stay positive and tried to visualize the euphoria she'd get when she could finally wear that thing on her forehead. Her concentration was broken when Karite mentioned something about how Shisei had a good side to him. Orika was severely tempted right then and there to tell Karite what had just happened, but she decided to save the incident for when the boy lived a little further from dreamworld. She couldn't bear to wipe that cute smile off his face, especially not today. Orika wriggled in the bonds like a fish caught in a net. Her stomach rumbled and the girl was suddenly reminded that she hadn't gotten anything to eat and that lunch was almost over. Oh, why did she have to pick this jutsu of all the others?

She'd gotten to the point where the girl was bent over, her nose against her legs, about to chew on the ropes to loosen them one strand at a time. With a sigh at the realization that people were around her, she sat back and laid on the grass, white knuckled hands against her flat chest. The girl lazily glanced in the direction of Shisei and noticed him speaking to an coal headed girl about their age. After a few minutes of listening, she induced that the snake boy was trying to persuade the girl to help him with a jutsu. After some exchanges of words that Orika found quite boring and much reminiscent of Xyn and Shisei's confusing conversation, the girl finally agreed to be Shisei's partner. However, it seemed that there were precautions in place, requirements that if Shisei violated, she would terminate their apathy-induced partnership. "Rivalries?" Orika asked to herself, although her booming voice was certainly loud enough to be heard, especiallw when she turned to Karite and said, "I think if rivals are people you want to beat, my rivalries are with everybody. Including you. So, watch out cause I'm gonna be the best shinobi one day! Nobody's gonna be able to hurt me and I won't let anybody hurt the people I care about either."

The serpent youth stared at the girl with his unmoved expression into her green eyes and expressionless features. His mind toyed with an idea for a few minutes before responding. “I chose you simply because I was curious as to why Rude-sempai was training you. I thought you may have had some type of talent. I was incorrect. You are talentless. Why don’t you finish up your training then before we continue?” Shisei stated turning away. The boy was about to begin his own training until the girl finished, but she pursued him from the back. “Geez… why is everyone so impatient…” the boy said looking from the corner of his eye at the approaching body. Now was the time to see if he learnt it all. His brain rapidly reviewed the training that Sukotto had given him. The molding of the chakra. Finding an object. The lines of chakra extending to the object. Shisei kept the stone he was looking at in mind and made the appropriate hand seals. His body disappeared in just before the hit leaving a stone in its place. His frame was now sitting in the same position it was before the fight between Tategami and Uchiha.

Karite was getting use to Shisei's constant babble about being better than everyone and not needing anyone. Senritsu and Shisei seemed to almost be in the same ball park. "Shisei you never cease to keep up that tough guy persona." Keeping his big smile Karite turned his sights on Orika. You got more then strength there love. Your a pretty smart cookie, so whats the hold up with them there ropes? If you get out of them I got a surprise for you." Karite smiled and knew that tonight would be one of the best nights of his life. The only thing was he couldn't get caught. Looking back at Kore he smiled at his friend. Swinging his arm he pretended to throw the rock to fake out Kore. When the cub was looking for the object he let another one go. "Look up Kore!" Karite said smiling.

As Kore did just that he saw his target to late. His eyes growing wide and his body shaking he was frozen with fear as he accepted his fate. As the rock flew towards the club it lightly bounced off his snout. Laying down quickly Kore began to rub his nose. He was showing shame for letting such a dirty trick get him. Karite was sneaky. Something about his past wasn't being shown. A trick like that took practice to work out and wasn't something built on the fly.

The snake child did not make any immediate movements once he heard hopper’s voice. The energy bunny wanting to be the best shinobi? “Feh. What a joke. A shinobi that hates jutsu? Maybe you’ll be the best farmer shinobi. You won’t be the best though. That title is mine and mine alone. Someone like you who knows nothing of adversity or the world can never be the best shinobi.” the serpent said sternly to Orika. The dread hair could not care less about their conversations, but he did not like them tainting the title of number one in this world with their ideal ideas or truth, honor, friends, family and all the other things five year old believed in. Yes their pipe dreams were so funny that Shisei sometimes wondered exactly how old they were. Every person he came across was older. His classmates looked to be around there teens. Yet all of them seemed closer to Shiu’s age in mind. When one of the fools died in battle then they would see the way of the world. Remembering he was supposed to be in the middle of training the boy leaped from the rock to slap his training partner in the back of the neck. Not with enough force to knock her down, but enough to make her stumble.

Orika bit down on her lip and gave a warm smile when Karite spoke to her. "It'd be easy to cut the rope on a sharp rock or something, but then I wouldn't learn a thing about Nawanuke. There can't be sharp things all the time, especially in dungeons, ya know? You gotta use chakra to get out of the ropes. Thing is, it's horrible to feel the icky tingly feeling when I summon up chakra. Plus, I don't exactly got a lot." Orika kept struggling, moreso to summon up all the chakra she had rather than to get out of the ropes. She did not know a thing about the mystical energy force and had not even the faintest clue what its properties were. All she knew she learned from Shinichi's class back when they were practising Henge. Even then, it seemed like her ability to gather chakra into a usable form had just been a stroke of luck! Orika turned away from Karite and pouted. To let him see her in such a weak, vulnerable position made her embarrassed to be called his girlfriend, but the girl also knew that no such thought crossed Karite's mind. He was probably thinking about where he'd throw the rock next at Kore, actually. Turning back, this time with a small laugh, Orika said, "Well, it better be worth it cause this could take a while!"

If her hands were free, she would lean over and wrap her arms around Karite's shoulders, maybe lean her head against his sturdy shoulders. Heh, but she had to focus and now with a new source of motivation, the girl went back to her task with considerably more vigor in comparison to her halfhearted attempts the last hour. She had even taken a nap and missed not only the fight, but half an hour of action and interesting conversations! Speaking of interesting... Orika looked up at the new raven-headed girl, wondering just who she was. Shimagakure received a lot of new recruits all the time. Even worse, the number that left because they couldn't handle the work was nearly about equal to those they took in for training. That made it all the more difficult to keep track of people. Orika shuddered when she thought about how horrible a job it must be for the teachers to keep track of who was going to school, who had dropped out, and who was just sick or jipping. Based on the confident way the new girl stepped up to the challenge, Orika guessed that she wasn't likely to leave school anytime soon. There was just a sort of masking aura about her that Orika couldn't decipher. She was like none of the other numerous students she had seen in her years on the island.
