[Seeing the Croc: Not necessarily. Sorri would have to point it out to Serena, give her passive teamwork and if she still deosn't see it, then she doesn't see it until Sorri attacks or the Croc moves from its hiding place.]
[Get in the habit of labeling your rolls too, because when you have several rolls, you might not clearly communicate what's happening your post, then the people you're rping with can just quick look and be like 'ooooh ok']
[And holy crap Sorri re-read your sentences. Dang. XD]
The croc tried to stay motionless as the smell of blood hit the murky water. A low rumble came from its stomach as it waited patiently to see if his prey would come deeper into the pond. It didn't though, instead sharp objects came bolting through the water, embedding itself deep within the croc's tough skin. A loud roar came from the croc as it swam to the surface.

[Serena, you never did give the grapple or taijutsu damage from earlier. If you generate that, I'm pretty sure the croc is dead.]
[Sorri, you can only throw one shuriken per roll. O_o And I have no idea how you got 17 damage out of that. You generated a 9 and if you did throw 3 shuriken you would've done 27 damage. But you can only throw 1 Shuriken per roll, so you did 9 Damage.]
Damage to Croc: 9 [Sorri's Shuriken] + 14 [Serena's Kunai] + ??[Serena's Grapple and Taijutsu] = ??

Croc = x.x
The croc turned belly up in the waters, floating to the top like a dead goldfish. It had been slain easily enough.

{xD Oh right~To the Raiken Mansion I go, I guess..}
Serena looked down at the creature floating in the water. Had their hits made their mark? She stepped in closer and stood back as she saw the white belly of the crocodile out of the darkness. "Is it dead?....I think it is...We'll need to take it back to Natamo or something then..." The Raiken wondered if they were actually supposed to kill the crocodile. Wasn't their mission just to move it out of the forest? Well...it seems reasonable enough that killing and dragging it out of the forest would still apply the the mission. It was so dark though...
Speaking of dark.."Ohhh shooot." She completely forgot about something really really important that she had to do tonight....the ceremony at the Raiken Mansion!! The genin wondered if it was already to late to get there...maybe not. Oh well, if she missed the ceremony, she could still get her staff, no? That pretty much all she wanted from the old guy right now..."Um. Ok, Sorri, I kinda...forgot...I had to go to the Raiken ceremony tonight sooo. You can handle this by yourself right?" She knew he could. It wouldn't be a probably for the guy. Except for getting out of the forest. "So, you just walk this way, and you're out, okay? I'll catch you later I'm soooo SORRY!!" Serena waved at him and sprinted out of the forest, leaving the task of dragging the crocodile to Natamo to her teammate.

He had splashed under the water, watching the shuriken and kunia fly down into the water, and piercing the skin of the giant crocidile's body, astounded by tthe sound it made once reaching the surface, eeven under water, where sounds were usually distorted, some even went unheard it was so clear. he looked around the moshy mess with out anything being clear, but seeing as nothing had came to attack him eat it was somewhat safe for fishing again. He raised up to the surface and grabbed it by the tail. grabbing it by the snout was risky, what if the monster was actually playing dead and was just waiting to bite his hand off? No way crocy.Affter Dragging the crocidile onto the land he waved off Serena and sat on the underbelly and took a small breather...now he had to take the animal to Natamo to make some use out of the body.

Sorri punched at the jaw, then slowly went to open and examine the mouth, so it was dead after all, nice. But the breath was horrendous an there were colors that...that just didn't belong in a mouth that were. he shut it and looked away, his face still scrogged in distaste. He hopped off the white belly and grabbed the tailed and lugged t over his left shoulder and began to exit out the area full of wild animals, there were no hoots, or growls, or any other sound coming from the other animals, they were afraid of the moving water devil, even though it was dead.Sorri dropped the tail down and wiped his brown and tore his already destroyed shirt apart and wrapped it around his arms and hands, trying to prevent anymore minor injures to his limbs. Lugging this...thing around would be a bit less annoying if his now celebrating teammate had been with him, but he couldn't really curse Serena for being fortunate now could he? His family had no such thing as a congratulations, just a nod and a push back out the door. Sorri leaned into his puling motions as the gate cam into veiw and when he finally got through he lost his hold on the tial and fell onto his face. When he saw that the monster had been to big to slide through. Ugh

[Let's try this] Why do I...
The scent of something... it was fresh. The smell of something that wasn't familiar to his senses. It caused his heart rate to stir while he attempted to stay asleep.
Why...
The tensing of his muscles became involuntary. It was a great annoyance to him, but he had started to adjust to this method of waking up. The memories that haunted his subconscious had become more and more violent. It wasn't that he could actually see what was going on in his mind, but the emotions that swelled in him, emotions he never thought he had, they lingered with him as he...
Why do I... care?
Xyn woke up with a Xyn gasp for air. Despite his rhythm of his heart increasing, his breathing seemed to slow. That scent... what was that memory? He braced his head on his left arm as he leaned forward. His dreams were getting more chaotic by the day. Maybe it was time he went back home...
Xyn inched his body forward, then realized where he was. The spot he had chosen was a tree limb, no more than six feet from the ground. It wasn't a fatal fall, but he could hurt himself if he wasn't careful. When he decided to lean back against the trunk, he noticed something in his lap. That bird... Munin had managed to fall asleep in this position. Well, it would probably be cruel to wake the creature this time of morning. Munin always slept in this forest, so Xyn decided to give it a try. He had heard some commotion the night before, but decided to ignore it. Otherwise, it would have interrupted his reading.
Straightening his back as much as he could, he stretch out the best he could. Sleeping in a tree was definitely something that took practice. He had managed to avoid rolling over and breaking his neck, but there was a sharp pain deep in the center of his spine. It wasn't that much of a bother as long as he kept still. Reaching for one of the pockets in his cloak, Xyn's fingers grazed the edges of the book to confirm which one it was then pulled it out.
Knots and their Uses. Xyn had actually picked up three books from the library several days ago, but hardly had the time to read them. He had grown an interest in strings and knots from seeing what Sorri could do, but decided there was far more to it that he could make useful.Reading Somwhere Quiet 1d20 + Hide(2 +2) + Knowledge(3 +7) DC: 29 Train: 0/6

He was greatly surprised by all the different ways people had developed in order to use string and rope. The number of knots was more than he could learn in one sitting. The best way to approach this was...
Xyn tried to hold back the yawn forcing his jaw open and his eyes closed. He never went back to sleep once woken up, and this was the normal time he'd get out of bed, but sleeping in this tree was far from restful. Giving his eyes a minute to adjust properly to the surroundings, he turned the page and continued reading. He preferred not to be bothered, and very few people came to this forest, at least that was what he thought. Nonetheless, this was an ideal spot to read. It wasn't very high up from the ground, and the other trees occupying this space provided perfect cover. As long as he didn't make too many movements, there was little chance he'd be caught.
"This is..." Xyn started to separate the knots into their proper categories. The main problem was finding a knot that was easy to tie but hard to pull apart. He first decided to weed out the knots he couldn't use, determining the similarities of each one. Hitches, loops, slings, twists, bends... if only the academy had taught a lesson on such a thing. He might have enjoyed spending a day being taught about this sort of thing rather than most of the lessons he was forced to endure, "... infuriating". Xyn was starting to get annoyed by the order in which the book was written. It described the knots and what types were used for what purposes, but he had yet to find anything useful. Most of the knots were too conventional; not meant to be used on something that moved. He'd need a type of knot that would hold as strongly as the rope itself. That was when he got a sudden idea. If the knot was as strong as the rope itself, he could tie several knots in sequence to make the rope stronger. The best way to do that was... tie multiple segments together. With that idea, Xyn immediately started searching the categories.

Maya plopped herself down on the ground in the forest, books in hand and her head already hurting, just from reading the titles on the books. She groaned and rubbed her face. What had she gotten herself into? She should just give up right now, there was no way she'd be able to learn this technique! She was barely able to read the ones for her own clan that Shuga had left behind! She turned to Baki, who merely rumbled and licked her face, and chuckled softly. "Softy...I do need to learn this huh? I was so scared when I saw you covered in blood, Baki...those dumb chuunin exams were crazy." Baki's slight nod solidified her need to learn this. Not only was she her clan's leader, she did have Kore and Karite to train...and because she knew herself extremely well, Maya knew she'd need the technique so she wouldn't end up letting their wounds fester, as Maya's had sometimes done when she grappled with Baki. She smoothed her brow with her hand and grabbed Baki's mane. "Catch me a frog, ok?" she muttered quietly, releasing his mane and patting his flanks as he took a few steps away and started sniffing for one. Maya grabbed the first book and kind of stared at it.
Biology and anatomy, huh? She flipped open to the middle of the book, looking blankly at images of little pink roads on a red and blue island. What in the name of god was THAT!?

Baki wondered just where he was supposed to get his paws on one of the small amphibious creatures that usually stayed hidden whenever he came hunting. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd seen a frog! For once, he wished he'd made a habit of hunting them more often, so the scent wouldn't be so hard to find. Then again, what was he supposed to do with frogs? They tasted gross and were slimy and disgusting. It was stupid to hunt them for fun because they were too small to do anything with except crush almost instantly in his jaws. Baki snorted, getting a twig stuck on his wet nose, and looked at Maya pitifully. A frog, really? The medical woman couldn't have given her anything bigger and less slimy to catch and work with?

 Capillaries are the smallest of a body's blood vessels and are part of the microcirculation. They are only 1 cell thick. These microvessels, measuring 5-10 μm in diameter, connect arterioles and venules, and enable the exchange of water, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and many other nutrient and waste chemical substances between blood and surrounding tissues.
Maya blinked and flipped the book upside down, then right side up again. Hm... Capillaries huh? Maya studied the image, realizing that yes...these were the things inside her body. She made a face, but re-read the passage a few times. Blood vessels...like boats? Like...blood boats? Maya let out a burst of laughter, and studied the diagram. Little tubes were connected in a spidery way, and the very smallest were labled 'capillaries'. These part of a bigger system that helped carry blood around all her body...so they carried chakra too, right? Maya frowned for a second. With all those little bits, how could people even channel chakra as quickly as they did? Maya put the thought in the back of her mind for another time. This wasn't the best thing to be doing, but at least it wasn't as dry as she thought it would be.

Baki smelled a funny smell, kinda watery and kinda dirty....hmmm... He picked his head up and looked to the right, freezing when he realized what was sitting a mere few inches from his paws. An ugly, fat, brown frog. Gross! Baki nearly stuck his tongue out and walked away, but Maya needed this little fella in order to learn...whatever it was that she was learning. Resisting the urge to snort on the pint-sized morsel, Baki flicked an ear forward and tried to go about the best way of approaching the thing. This would be hard, since it was so much smaller than he was, and how was he supposed to know what would set it off? Baki had never in his life hunted a frog, had never felt the urge to. He couldn't even growl his displeasure! With an internal huff, the great lion began to think.
