Emerwyn reached out to a tree for support. It was not her returning illness now that threatened to bring her down. It was the heartbreaking words he said. She couldn't help but be honest with him. "Yes..... and no. Ian, When I look at thee, I know not what to think. Sometimes, I look at thee, and all I ever want is to be near to thee, always. But, the other times, I cannot stand the mere sight of thee. It is not thee, nay. It is because I love thee."
She walked slowly closer to him, only half way.
"My Jerrick is gone," she said, each word harder to say than the next. "He disappeared long before fate carried me hither. I searched for him. I thought I was on my way to him, on that ship... But, instead of bringing me to him... it brought me... to thee." She let out a trembling breath. "And now, I am here, falling for thee, when my love may be d-" she choked. "I shall never stop my search for him."

Ian's heart pounded loudly in his chest. So that was everything, and why Emerwyn seemed to hate him suddenly those times. "Thou knows we cannot leave this island prison on which we are trapped. Dost thou expect Jerrick to appear here as we did?" Ian wasn't meaning to be harsh, he was just speaking the truth. "Whilst we are here, there are always people left behind." Ian moved closer to Emerwyn and wiped her tears before resting both his changed hands on her shoulders gently. "I left a brother behind, I'll never see him again. I still love him, he will always be in mine heart. Thou hast to accept that Jerrick is gone. He can still be in thine heart."
Ian pulled Emerwyn into his arms and embraced her. "I love thee, always know that." Then Ian pulled away his eyes sad. "No one can hold onto the past forever."

Ian was being so honest. Emerwyn couldn't take it. But, Ian's brother... She had been selfish to think that she was the only one who had lost something. "I blame my own self." She said, into his chest. "If I had only-" Her arms stayed limp in his embrace. She hung there, supported by him. "I'm sorry." She was broken. Broken off from any logical thought, anything involved with the real world, the world she no longer knew.
She looked up at him. "You must think me a great fool."

Ian gave a tiny smile. "We have all been fools. It is that that brought me here, and introduced me to thee." He stared into Emerwyn's eyes, searching their depths for anything that could tell him something. "We are all fools, but as long as we learn from those things that are foolish."
Ian held Emerwyn close, nothing on this island made sense, least of all his love for Emerwyn. But, for as long as he was stuck there - which was most likely forever - he would have to adapt.

Emerwyn remained there still as Ian held her. She tried to smile back.
This wasn't right. She knew that it wasn't. She wouldn't be feeling so sick right now if everything was as it should be. ...Very sick. Her head rested against his chest, but she was anything but relaxed.
Emerwyn abruptly broke away from him, clutching her stomach, a pained expression on her face.

Ian started when Emerwyn broke away, clutching her stomach. "Emerwyn?" he questioned reaching a hand out, his eyes narrowed with worry. "Dost thou require any assistance?"

Emerwyn opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came. That is, no sound but a strangled-gargling cough. She doubled over, in a coughing fit grander than any she'd yet experienced. In the midst of coughing, she retched, losing the leaves she'd eaten for breakfast. The peak was when the blood appeared again. She couldn't stop coughing, and tearing profusely, she tried to swallow it and get up to her feet.

"Emerwyn!" Ian gasped grabbing a hold of her. "Thou needs some help, let me take thee back to thy duplex." He saw her start to cough up blood and paled, feeling a bit sickly himself at the blood. "Please, thou would only make it worse by staying here." He swallowed nervously, unsure of what he should do to help. He was desperate, he didn't know what he should do.

The blood was coming in far greater amounts than it had the last time. She clutched at Ian's arms, trying to steady herself. Her head felt very light, and her vision was becoming blotched with colors. "Ian........" The colors were being consumed by blackness.
"...Jerrick."
It went completly dark, and Emerwyn saw no more.

Ian's eyes widened as Emerwyn coughed up even more blood. He hated blood, stifling his own urge to retch, Ian tried to steady Emerwyn and his eyes widened when she went limp in his arm. Damn, now what was he supposed to do? Adjusting his arms, Ian prayed that he had the strength to carry her. Thank the gods he did. Lifting her, he started to walk towards the village with Emerwyn held close to him, him taking deep breaths as not to vomit. "Thou wilt be alright," he whispered as he walked unsure of if she could hear him.

Emerwyn was passing in and out of conciousness. Blood dripped slowly out of the corners of her mouth as she hung limply in Ian's arms. She didn't even feel the steady motion of his legs as they strode through the trees.
The last thing she noticed before she completely blacked out was his words spoken softly in her ear.

Ian didn't notice Emerwyn's phasing consciousness and almost flinched every time blood dripped from her mouth. At first he had no clue as to his destination, but eventually he headed for his duplex, stopping at the door.

After sitting still for a little while The cheetah in colche stabbed her and told her to move. She obeyed, she wasn't a dog to be bossed around she was a cat. She glances at the beach one more time, she had a feeling she wouldn't be going there much any more, she wanted to be alone. her stub of a tail flicks and she turns for the jungle and her hide out in the small clearing, she could easily find ehr way back there again, it was strange how good your sence of direction got.
Puuring to herself as she went she slipped almost silently through the trees her ears twitching every so often huge blue eyes shifting to the skies watching for birds and other small animals which flitterd about in the tree tops. She finally found her way back to 'her' clearing and lay down with a flump. She yaws showing off those fangy canines which would one day be the powerful, if small jaws, of the cheetah. She stretched one last time curling up and dozing off in the shade.

Colche woke quietly, her big blue eyes opened to the mid after noon sun and she yawned, her fangy teeth flashing in the sunlight. Licking her lips she uncurled herself from her sleeping possition shaking her head so that ehr ears seemingly unstuck from her cheeks. After a moment or two of contemplation, she stretched and sat up, gazing up through the open canopy at the perfect blue sky. She liked living out here she loved the sky and the sun and the stars in the evening, she felt safe, she was alone as she was supposed to be.

Amaya had woken up somewhat early today without meaning to and after grabbing some orange juice and a banana for breakfast she walked out into the jungle. She could feel how much the tempature had changed and even though she still got her daily dose of sun, she knew that it had gone down a lot. After all, it was December.
Man... she would never see snow again and even if it DID snow, she wouldn't be able to play in it now that she was cold-blooded.
She stopped walking after awhile and climbed the nearest tree in impulse to just hang out for awhile and listen to her CD player. After adjusting herself on her stomach she looked around and spotted something very foreign to the jungle.
"Colche? What's she doing out here?" The iguana said her herself before sitting up to get a better view.
