Sahaqiel (I'm actually in the process of writing up a DnD campaign as we speak blaugh ) "Alright fine." Forde mumbled as he reached into his jacket pocket. He pulled out a small sphere, and clicked a button on the top. "See this?" He said as he moved it towards Jarred's face. "This little buddy of mine will blow 3 seconds after my thumb is removed from this button. And since it's a little creation of mine, I'm the only one who knows how to turn it off." Forde laughed a moment, then his face became serious again. "Get out of my way or show me where Pendari is." ((crazy)) "Alright, alright, no need for violenc... wh.. hang on." Jarred said, grabbing his PDA. He had intended to make it ring without anyone calling, but Syx had other intentions, it seemed. Jarred brought it up to his face, the video-link opening. But that wasn't the important part Out of the back shot a spike-ended cable, embedding itself in the orb, then just as quickly returning to the PDA. Jarred lowered his PDA, looking into it. The actions of the PDA were slightly concealed by the sphere, but ultimately he would have seen something moving on the PDA. "Hey, what's up Syx?" Jarred said, unphased by the situation.

"Blood and mayhem." Syx's voice sounded over the speaker. "We've got some people down. Guy with the cards was stabbed, some crazy chick is pretty badly mutilated, and we also have Pendari down here as well. You busy? Because I can get back to you on who's alive and who's not."

Eulalia Danae "Blood and mayhem." Syx's voice sounded over the speaker. "We've got some people down. Guy with the cards was stabbed, some crazy chick is pretty badly mutilated, and we also have Pendari down here as well. You busy? Because I can get back to you on who's alive and who's not." "Wait, what?" Jarred's eyes went wide. "I'll be down in the engine room in just a sec." He said, deliberately confusing the locations and closing the link. "Hey, sorry guy, but I gotta jet. Your bomb won't move for you, and I wouldn't advise trying. See ya." Jarred took off running for the jail. ((Summary: Jarred uploaded the virus to the orb. It's just gonna sit there. Whatever.))

ArynChris (( rolleyes Again, anyone else think that explains a lot? Lol to it.))"Uh-huh. I admire the cop-out, though. Cookies are pretty awesome. As I should know," Cookie added smugly.
Pulling the first tray out of the oven, she held it low so the girl could savor the smell with her before setting it on top of the oven and sticking the next tray in.
"Now, I'll stick yours on a plate for you, but be careful and wait a minute, okay? They're a bit hot still, I don't want you to burn yourself," she said kindly. "I forgot to ask if you're allergic to anything, but I guess you're probably not." Her eyes crinkled, and she started pulling out plates, one of them hard plastic that looked like it had been melted on one side.

Forde sighed as Jarred walked away and released the button on top of the sphere when he was gone. "You have no new messages." Echoed through the hall, and Forde placed the sphere into his pocket. "I have GOT to get better at lying." He mumbled as he started down the hall, not noticing the severed appendages.

(Sorry AC, balancing too many characters at the same time can make me slip a few into the cracks without noticing.) Haldis ignored Cookie the moment the cookies were out of the oven. And dived for them, hot melted chocolate and scalding pan or not. She of course followed with a screech and pulling her hand back while her eyes filled with tears.

Jarred walked into the bar, moving straight back to the kitchen, and closing the door behind him. "Alright. I want some answers. First off, which one of you is psychic?"

Haldis glanced at Cookie, then to Jarred, then back to Cookie. "I think he'd like one of the cookies too. We should offer one to him." She sighed, "He's had a rough rough day."

Cookie had just given the girl a stoic look when she burned herself on the oatmeal raisin cookies. "Told 'ja."
She ignored Jarred for a moment while she put the cookies on plates, then said, "As I told you before, it was me. We're both psychic, but in different ways. I can project thoughts to other people, send messages so to speak, but the girl can do that and pick up random memories. She's still learning how to sort out what's from who and so on, but there you have it. Any particular reason you wanted to know?
"Oh, and hand this over the Jack back there," she added, handing him a plate of cookies. "Let 'im know they're fresh out."

"Cookies, mate." jarred said, passing the plate to the man outside.
"There wasn't really a reason. I was just curious. I'm really here to talk to Haldis." Jarred said, munching on the cookie he swipied from the plate. "As I'm sure you know, just about all of those damn cards switched hands in the past twenty minutes, and I was wondering if you could give me any more painfully vague clues as to where they are?"

Haldis turned around in a circle as she ate her cookie, the burn having healed rather quickly. "Can't tell you where two are, one is with the murderer, one is with the rainbow girl, and one is with the gun lady." She stopped twirling. "You've asked this question already, what else do you want to know?" She nibbled on her cookie, staring up at Jarred with her wide blue eyes.

Cookie packed up most of the cookies on a tray, then started munching on the hottest one on her own. She had decided warning Haldis away from trouble was rather pointless.

Jarred, not one to look the gift horse in the mouth and all that... "Is there another way to unlock the ship, other than the five cards? And if so, what is it?"
