out of those two, Epyon is the better. and by far. the Gouf line, for the most part, was an utter failure.

First of all, the Eypon would suck balls in teh U.C. Timeline. It had no long range weapons whatsoever, leaving it defenseless in a long range or short range battle. The beam saber it carries is tied in with its generator, you cut the cord and it is as good as cannon fodder.

The Gouf line itself, was a major jump from the basic Zaku and its basis was ground battle. The variations to come from it helped spawn many other mobile suits and Gouf variations themselves. One famous variation of the Gouf is the MS-07B-3 Gouf Custom. That suit itself brought down various squads of feddie suits and 3 Mass Produced Guntanks by itself, and not some crappy unmanned mobile dolls.
