Wasn't that one of Elnara's nephews? Lore had thought to himself, that sounded just very odd to him. Well... he supposed had Elnara not been the eldest and both her mother and father were still alive that wouldn't be so unusual. It had happened within Elnara's own little family with Lin, Storm and Star being roughly the same gae.
"That's a bit mind boggling.."

"But I wouldn't let anything happen to you," Lin protested.
Besides it was relatively safe as long as they stayed at the school and inn. She knew that, or take him to the Seconds world, nothing happened there except the occasional annoying peer.

Elnara blinked. "He was only a year old when I last saw him ... he's that old already? Wow ... I imagine he must be quite tall as well by now, then ..."
Silvrendir wiggled off Elnara's lap and started looking around. There were a lot of books in there, on shelves, on tables, on desks, on chairs, on the floor, on pretty much every available surface. There were quills and inkwells everywhere as well, as well as loose papers - some with scribbles on them, some clean.

"I'll tell you what," Earendil grinned at Lin, poking at her stomach and trying to tickle her, "why don't you try to conince my mother, and if you can do that I'll come visit you?"
Luthien laughed softly. "She could try," she murmured softly to herself. Though she was serious about it, her eyes were sparkling with mischief.
Mikhail nodded, then shrugged one shoulder. "You'll see him, I'm sure. I won't spoil the surprise of you seeing him for the first time." He glanced at Lore. "What about you?" he asked curiously. "Any family? Brothers? Sisters?

Lin squeaked at the poke as she sucked her stomach in as she looked up at Earendil. It wasn't that she was very ticklish, she was quite caught off guard by it. Though she was a bit, if one tickled her right.
"Not the tummy," she pouted.

"Ah... no," Lore shook his head.
His parents he hadn't had contact in with since he left a second time, he wouldn't have known if he had any other brothers and sisters. Besides, who was to say? The ravages of time, the disease could have taken them and he wouldn't have known it.

Elnara reached for Lore's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze, then offered him a warm smile. She was interested in hearing about those sort of details about Lore's life as well, but knowing what little of his past she did, she was never able to bring herself to ask them. Not when she had no idea how much pain they could - or would - cause him.
"Papa," Idhril said softly, poking at Lore's ear clasp, "can I go play with Silver dear?"
She was getting a little bored, just sitting there. She wasn't really paying attention to the conversation, she didn't know who they were talking about so it really didn't matter.

Mikhail's brow furrowed slightly at the response to his question. Had he said something wrong?
"So who else have you run into so far? I'm assuming you haven't been here long ..."
He smiled at Idhril. She was a cute little kid.
Earendil chuckled. "Why not?" he asked her, and moved to tickle her ribs.

Lore blinked, brought out of his thoughts by Idhril as he turned his head slightly. She had been so well behaved and quiet that he had nearly forgotten that she was there. Sure she was in his arms, but it wasn't like she was that heavy to begin with.
He set her down with a nod, "Yes, but you two be careful," he told her gently.
Since they were still in a study after all and he knew how things could be haphazard at best.

She squealed again shoving her butt over to get out of Earendil's reach. Lin wrapped her arms around her sides protectively as she looked up at him with a pouting glare, more pout than glare.
"Nuu..." she replied back, "It tickles."

Idhril giggled and skittered over to join Silvrendir in his exploration of the study.
Elnara smiled at Idhril, then turned back to her brother. "Well, Tinuviel brought us through the labyrinth, and then we saw Elrohir and ... his girlfriend, I forget her name ... then Nako, and then Luthien."
A fairly impressive list considering how short a time they had already been there.

Earendil laughed and picked Lin up again. "So should we stay here for a bit longer or should we show Storm and Starr another of your favourite places?"
Mikhail smiled. "From the sounds of it, it's been going well so far at least. You might run into Daeron if you keep around this hall for a while, I saw him walk past a while ago. Looked a bit busy but he'll be glad to see you, too."

Lin's laughed lightly herself as she hugged Earendil, "Let's go again, maybe we can kind of make it to the mountain before dinner. How about that training place at the base?"
She meant the one that was fairly new if one considered she had been wandering before it was even made.

Lore hadn't realized it had been that many people already, he was impressed for no other reason than nothing serious had broken out yet.
"He has a study here too?"

Mikhail nodded to Lore. "Indeed, all of us have a study on this floor. I think Elrohir's even trying to get permission to set one up for Haradhel - though what use she would have for it, I don't know. She spends all day every day training anyways, doesn't have any paperwork or anything to do that I know of."
Earendil laughed again and hugged Lin back, then scooped up Storm and Starr and headed off towards the door inside again.
"The mountain it is, then," Earendil grinned. "Though you're right. We wouldn't have time to go to the top today - especially since you, if you want to go up, have to climb yourself. But we can visit my training area, we have time for that."
