Strider raised his arms up high he stretched his back. He sighed as he exited the first classroom of his first day.
"Man, can't they give a guy a break?" he murmured as he scratched his blond head.
Really, they should give new students a break before starting them up right away? After all, he had only just gotten into his dorm with his new things. He adjusted his blue coat once and shrugged his book further up into his arm. He turned and headed down the hall. And then he froze.
That face...
The man Strider recognized from earlier was heading right for him. In his defense, that did not scare him, but that look on his face... It was so damn familiar to him yet he could not place it. Automatically he could get an impression, though he had never formerly met the man before.
He's planning something... something diabolical that will probably get him into worlds of trouble, but will still manage to be a blast.
Still, the face was familiar, but for the life of him Strider could not figure out where he had seen it before.
He settled for just watching the walking figure, his childish curiosity and confusion clearly displayed on his face. Why did that make him feel nostalgic as well?

Vanyel cackled manically as he schemed. He was jotting down ideas in his notebook as he thought of them, issues, ways in, distractions, all were being written in record speed. Due to this distraction, he was not paying any attention to where he was going and ran right into a student that was also walking in the hall. Van's notes went flying as he got up and began apologizing, "Sorry about that, better watch where you're going!"

As Mike walked past the school, he kept staring at the smudges on the letter. That damned truck and the puddle, who did they think he was!? Sure alchemy dried his clothes, but the ink was all smudged from the wetness. If that wasn't bad enough, the dog he had to wrestle it away from took half of it with him. How does a dog disappear in a blind alley!? This was not his day.

"Is that a seven, or a "P". Ugh, I'm never going to find this-" There was an explosion inside the building to the right of him, "-school." The building was quite a marvel to look at. "Huh, I'm gonna take a guess, and say this is the school." Mike said before starting up towards the school. As he walked through the doors, he noticed this was a relitively nice place. He set his suitcase down on the front steps and stretched. The fresh air around here was nice, much nicer than from where he was from.

As Mike walked into the school, he realized that it was still mid-day, and he had no clue where he was going. So, like he would usually do, he'd just wander the school all day looking casual until he found some way to get his classes.

After grabbing his stuff from the ground Vanyel continued walking the halls blindly, absorbed in his plans. He finally had everything that he had needed jotted down and he put the book away. When he looked he found that he was standing by the entrance of the school.

He saw that there was a new student standing there. Then Vanyel noticed a glint where the boy's arm was. Automail! Van thought as he watched the new boy who looked lost. "Hello there!" he called out, "You need any help?"

"Huh?" Mike turned towards the boy. "Phew, someone who can help me." he thought. "Um, yes, I'm a new student here, but due to some "situation", I don't have a schedule to get around, nor do I know where the office is." Mike said, scratching the back of his head. In reality, he didnt even know for sure if this was the school for him, so he pulled out his enrollment papers and showed them to the young man.

Vanyel glanced at the papers to confirm that the kid was even supposed to be there. "This is the right school." he said handing them back. "I guess that you are trying to figure out where to go next, give me your schedule and I'll help you out." Vanyel was still examining the new kid, "By the way, what is your name? I'm Vanyel, Vanyel Eliric."

Strider leered after the young man who had run into him before as he disappeared around a corner. He brushed off the dust on his long blue coat with his hands and then picked up his dropped books. His flaxen brows furrowed and his lips sneered.
"Sheesh, apologize then go running off without helping me up? Talk about rude." he said to the empty hall. "Who's the guy think he is anyway?"
He shrugged as he sighed. There was just no helping some people. He looked back at his schedule, then his mini-map. He spotted his next class, but then noticed something bigger.
The Library...
The lecture of the next class was not until later... maybe he had time for a bit of skimming...
He grinned eagerly and hurried off the the large room indicated to be on the first floor. Finally, this was what he had been hoping for!

"Oh, I'm Mike," he said, "And my schedule..." The thought of the dog in his mind made him want to go balistic. "It was kinda taken from my hands before I got to memorize it." He couldn't say he let some mutt take it from him, it just wasn't right! Besides, if things went from bad to worse, he'd just follow this Vanyel around. Vanyel Elric...could he be related to...nah, couldn't be.

"Well the past is the past, no way to change it." he said, "Mike, I think you look like a library man, so let's go to the library. I was heading there anyway and I think you could get a new schedule there." Grabbing Mike's hand he dragged the new student through the halls to the library.

((Sorry for the godmod, hope it's ok!))

((No problamo, it's your RP!))

Mike gladly followed the kid into the library. All those books on alchemy, the research, the therories, his skin crawled thinking about it. The only thing he could possibly say was "Whoa!" He could do so much research about how he could control this strange form of alchemy, perhaps this school could rid him of his so called "curse". On the otherhand, perhaps it could turn him into what he aspired to be: the greatest State Alchemist the world had ever seen.

"Damn, nice library you guy's got here." Mike said, running his fingers across the backs of th books. This place had to have a library close to that of the one in Central. He could spend all day in here. After all, he had nowhere to be yet.

Vanyel pulled Mike away from the books and said, "Sorry, but you have to get your schedule first!" Van pointed to the librarian, "She'll help you." he then walked away to a section of the library where the librarians had hidden a book he needed. The librarians at the school had hidden several books that the school did not want the students to have, such as books on explosives and other subjects. Vanyel grabbed on called, "Smoke bombs and other forms of Distraction."

Of course, Strider already had quite the head start, so by the time the two other students of the immediate vacinity entered, he already had several (that was a severe understatement, it was more like one and a half score of books) volumes stacked like a barricade around him. While it seemed to cut him off and make him look anti-social, he just needed a place to put all the books. And since no one else (save the librarian) was around, he found his childish habits taking form. It was his little fort of acedemic learning. Already he was opening books and placing them in two piles, dubbed 'readable' and 'I-couldn't-figure-out-this-s**t-if-I-had-all-night.' Obviously, he was very orginized. Hey, at least he left little paper markers where he stole the books from. (Not that he needed to. The great spaces could well-enough indicate where he grabebd them from) Deciding to start with basics so he could get a better grasp of what he would be learning, he delved in, flicking back his golden blone bangs once habitually before starting to scan the text intently.

Mike walked up to the librarian with his registration papers. "I'm new here, and I lost my schedule," he said as kind as he could be, "may I have another?" The librarian gave him an odd look, then asked his name and soon after, gave him his schedule. As Mike walked away, he realized that even though he now had all the room numbers, he still had no clue where the rooms were. Thus, he would have to randomly walk the halls in hopes of finding a room. The first class was just outside, but knowing that the school had been going on, he knew the first period was over, and thus proceeded to his second period, "The History of Alchemy".

(If no one's posting I'll just do it again! And sorry if I changed the storyline too much, just...add a sub. or something.)

As Mike ran through the halls searching for his second period, he slid by a bulletin board to read a notice. "The classes "Battle Alchemy" "Chimera 1" "History of Alchemy" and "Finding Your Alchemical Self" have been cancelled until further notice after the occurance that happened yesterday! All students who have these classes must report to a study hall!" Mike stomped around. "Just when things start getting better, THIS happens! I'm not spending my first three periods in a study hall!" Just then it clicked to him. This meant he could explore more into the school. He say a map on the wall and pulled out a peice of paper and splashed some ink on it. He held his right hand on it and used alchemy to copy the map and move the ink, making an identical copy in black and white. He noticed that a whole section was partially missing from the map. Perhaps that would be interesting, as something not wanting to be found usually was. Mike walked off towards a seemingly restricted section of the school.
