Asherah sighed gently as he spoke, a faint smile on her lips. When she felt the tug of his arm, she opened her eyes and followed along side him, naturally. Her gazed bounced about the beach briefly, his words slowly sinking in.
"Are you sure?" Ash's mind reeled for a moment, it couldn't all belong to her now too. It was just too much stuff. A wave a guilt washed over her. "I-I dunno. What if I sneeze of something sacred or something... I'd hate to do something dumb..."
A lovely way to break the romantic meeting, something had to break the ice, why not have it be Asherah's cluelessness.
"So.. What is this place Enki, I mean, besides your home." Leaning, and resting her body up against his, she placed a hand on his chest as she looked up at him.

He smirks softly as he keeps her close to him, wrapping his other arm lightly around her shoulders as he gazes back down at her.
"Don't worry, Asherah. All of the breakabes have been long since removed from this place," he says as he leans down and kisses her gently.
"This is the Leviathan Temple, built ages ago by the ancient Atlanteans to worship the beautiful creatures. This is also their breeding grounds."

For once in her life, Asherah felt young. Her eyes widened a bit, taking in the detail of the temple.
"Oh wow, really?"
She wasn't so much concerned about breaking things, just covering them in snot and other disgraceful methods. But no breakable things? Where was the fun in that?
"So they come around here often?" Asherah sounded like a child talking to an astronaught. Sure she was old herself, but nowhere close to being an ancient. "I've heard stories of Atlantis and stuff, and the libraries at my old home had literature on it, but I never thought I'd see something like this."
Secretly, Asherah was a book worm, a fanatical one at that. If she was interested in something, she'd do everythingin her power to find a good book on it and curl up to learn. It was how she learned to manipulate elements as a child.

Enki smiles widely at her wonder and enthusiasm, so very happy to see the Asherah he knows and loves back. He holds her lightly against him as he smiles down at her.
"Then later I shall have to show you my library," he says softly before kissing her again, each soft caress of her lips feeling like an angels wings embracing him, holding him in comfort and protection.

It was a temperary flare of what she usually was, though the burden of reality would surely come back to knock her on her bottom. There was plenty of things Asherah would have to come to terms with, particualrly with a certain someone. She wasn't looking forward to that day. But for now, for now she'd enjoy herself and shed the skin of depression.
It felt as if her heart began to melt as he kissed her once more. A shiver ran through her body before she pushed herself away from the kiss.
"Do you think we could see it now?" Her nerd was starting to show. "I'd really like to see it..."

He smirks and lightly presses a soft kiss to her forehead, right underneath her jewel as he lets go of her shoulders, keeping his arm around her waist as he gently leads his beautiful mate back into the temple. He leads her through the grand entrance before coming up to the stairs and leading her slowly up them to the second floor. He points down a hall as the walk past it.
"Down there is the guest quarters, though I rarely ever have guests here. From what I understand, they used to be the living quarters for the priests."
Continuing up the stars, he stops in front of the dining room, looking into it toward the large double doors on the other end.
"This is the kitchen and dining room," he begins before motioning to the large doors on the other end. "Through there is a grand ballroom that I can only assume was once a worship place of some sort," he says before smirking a bit, "I prefer it as a ballroom."
He then leads her up to the top of the stairs and leads her inside the room that it ends in. Inside his a labyrinth of walls and wooden bookcases, each filled to the brim with texts and tomes from all generations. Stacks of old books lay in front of some of the bookcases. This room is a bit darker then the others, strategically placed windows illuminating certain areas and leaving small spots for reading.
"And this," he says with a wave of his hand, "is my personal library."

Trying her best to remember the lay out, Asherah quietly murmured the locations and names to herself, the kitchen in particular. She was gunna be spending plenty of time in there. And a ballroom? She'd be prancing like an idiot in there too. Finally, the library.
"Sweet mother of god."
Her eyes may have well been the size of entree dishes as her jaw dropped. Separating herself from Enki's grasp, Asherah found her self bristly walking to a book case and feeling the books. Slipping her hand and grabbing onto a volume, Asherah opened it up and stuffed her face in it.
Sssnnnniiiiffffff
"Ahhhh.... Old book smell..."

He snickers softly as he watches her like a kid in a candy/cocaine store. He gazes adoringly at her form as she walks through the isles and pulls a book, taking in the fragrance of an old, vintage text.
"There are hundreds of thousands of books here, breaching nearly all topics one could think of," he says softly, not even sure if she hears him or not. He walks slowly behind her before slipping past her a ways down the island, looking back a bit.
"Come, let me show you something," he says to her as he begins weaving through the massive isles before coming at least near the opposite end of the vast room to a small, dimly lit alcove of books. Each of them look like they'd been through hell and back, but yet their covers seem almost in pristine condition without any rips or tears.
"These books are some of the last remnants of Atlantis. Books on their culture, their tales, their myths and legends. Books on their technology, the Gods they worshipped and the creatures they revered."

Before pushing the book back into it's place, Asherah skimmed the pages for it's information. Apparently, she heard him enough to oblige in his instructions. Acting as his temporary shadow, Ash followed just behind him so she wouldn't get lost in the labyrinth of books. That would be for later. But for now, a silly antsyness built up in her chest as he lead them to their destination. And under her breath, Enki should have been able to hear a soft 'oh boy oh boy oh boy.....'
"..." She froze solid. "That's.. I... Ohh..."
Taking a few steps in front of Enki, Asherah grazed the backs with her amazed eyes. She couldn't believe it, the ancient knowledge of Atlantis at her finger tips, who knows what she would learn. Looking over her shoulder, she beamed at Enki.
"I don't know what to say..."

He smiles softly at her apparent ecstasy and walks up to her, lightly gliding his arms around her waist to rest lightly upon her stomach as she looks back at him. His bright, azure eyes gaze at the old tomes before looking back down at her with the same soft smile. He leans down and presses another soft, loving kiss to her lips, holding it as if afraid to let go of the moment before pulling back away and gazing into her eyes.
"You could start with 'thanks,'" he says with a soft snicker, holding her adoringly against his body before stepping back and around her. He picks one of the old tomes from the shelf covered in runes from a lost language and opens it, a picture of a large sea serpent adoring the inside.
"Though," he says almost sadly as he turns and shows her the page, the entire book written in a script Asherah did not know, "I'm afraid these books won't do you any good unless you can read Atlantean."

"Thanks, you snot."
Giggling softly, Asherah happily watched as he picked out a book and opened it up. Her expression suddenly changed from happy to confused. That wasn't English, it looked like pretty lines and dots. Squinting her eyes a bit, she blinked and cocked her head to the side until he spoke.
"That's Atlantean? It's so pretty..." A slow growing grin took over her face. "Can you teach me?"
A sucker for knowing, Asherah delicately took the book out of his hands and looked at the picture with a quizzical pucker of the lips.

Enki smirks a bit as she takes the book from his hands and looks it over a bit, gazing with a puckered, ever knowledge-hungry look. He watches her a moment as she studies over the page with confusion, trying to figure out if she was attempting to understand what the symbols meant. Stepping next to her, he glances down at the book with the image.
"Yes, actually, I could. It's not nearly as difficult a language as Common to learn," he says softly as he reaches down over her shoulder and gently turns the page, the leave leave covered entirely with the symbols the lines and dots moving in a slightly chaotic yet rhythmical and lyrical manner.

An eye brow raised as he flipped the page. Asherah was trying to figure it out herself, and she was failing miserably. Pursing her lips together, she looked up to him and shrugged whilst shaking her head.
"It doesn't look so easy to me..." Flipping over another page, she giggled and closed it before placing it back on the shelf. Promptly, she popped another one out and looked at the cover.
"What's this one say."

Enki reaches down around her and gently traces his fingers over the cover and the indented letters, still holding a bit of the gold that once lined the indents. His fingertips gently glide along the grooves, though whether it is to help him read it or in a way of nostalgia, it's not quite sure.
"It reads, 'Plagues and Pleasures in the Deep.' If I recall, it's a book about the gifts and curses given by the ocean," he says softly as he takes his hand away from the book to rest lightly on Ash's shoulder.

"Well that's midly frightening."
With a snicker, she put the book back without openeing it, she couldn't read it anyway. Beginning to walk away a ways, Asherah stopped and set her sights higher. Standing up on her tip toes, she struggled to lay her fingers on a random book. Now she was just having fun. Biting her lip, she managed to tip the volume off the self, only to have it tumble down and smack her on the head.
"Ahh!"
Scrambling with all her little might, Asherah namaged to catch the book before it hit the floor. She sighed in reliefe as she handed Enki the book and rubbed her head.
"What's this one say?" She chirped as if nothing just happened.
