((It's ok)) She smiled and lathered up another wash cloth. She set the soap down again and proceeded to wash his back. She washed his shoulders and the back of his neck first, working her way down slowly.

He smiled and sighed as he felt her scrub his back. One major draw back to being as big as he was, was the fact of his back being a hard to reach spot. "Mmmmm, that feels gooood. Thank you my dear, it's so hard flexing enough to reach back there."

She smiled softly, "don't you have other maids to help you do this? You at least have two maids to help you in here don't you?" She finished his back as she spoke and set the wash cloth down. She rubbed water down his back to wash away the soap suds that were still left on his back.

He smiles and says "true, I do have my maids, but they act without question, without thought, almost little more than animate dolls." he looks over his shoulder to her and says "but there is something so much more gratifying about one that is still of independent thought whom willfully does so."

She was silent a moment, taking in hs words. "I suppose, but isn't the point of having those maids soley for their survitude? If they refused to serve you it wouln't be gratifying at all. Isn't the power to make someone think and act as you tell them without question a form of true power?"

He nods "it is, to have others be as your hands and arms, your eyes and ears, it does signify your own extensive power. But when one does things for you willfully, there is a satisfaction in that, that almost mindless servents can't quite give."

"Willfully, mindlessly, what does it mater? One of them could just as easily defy you as I could." She continued to rub water on his back. "There's really no difference between service because you have to or service to keep yourself or someone else safe." She shut her mouth just then.

he looked over his shoulder to her with and arched brow. "I could be mistaken, but it seems as if there is a story behind those words. Care to enlighten me?" When he could tell his back was clean he turned to face her properly.

"The only reason I have been behaving was to protect Kari from you. You kept threatening to kill her or hurt her so all I could do was obey to protect her." She avoided looking at his face, "but for a while now I've been able to forget about Kari completely and it scares me. I don't want to be able to forget her so quickly as if she was never in my life and replace her with you. I need her as much as she needs me, which is more than you could ever think."

He gave a nod, still seeing that there is a story within her words, but it can wait for another day. "I see, well as you can see I'm not without some consideration. Even know I'd have my servents preparing a large and more suitable area for your friend to reside in, and you've been doing well in serving me so far, thus your ever growing ability to do more."

((Ok, see you later)) She nodded but still couldn't bring herself to look at him. She knew deep down that her service to him was for the best. SHe put a finger on the inside of her collar, tugging at it slightly so it'd be in a more comfortable position.

he moves up behind her and leans down to whisper to her "you'll only need to wear it a while longer, once I'm certain you serve me out of willful desire to do so, then you'll need not wear that again."

She nodded and let go of the collar, she knew he wouldn't lie to her. She'd just have to wait until he took it off before worrying about Kari being able to roam freely anywhere she wanted, without bars to stop her.

Ryu reached over and grabbed a towel and then wraped it around her gently. "know this, you've done well since coming into service for me, keep this up, and kari may yet see true freedom by year's end" He then steps out of the hot spring and moves to slip a towel around his waist.
