Fyra sat up in bed and stretched. She found a new outfit for the day and went out through the window. It occurred to her that she ought to use the front door on occasion but it always seemed so much quicker just to use the nearest exit. She landed on an awning just above street level and crawled off. There weren't many people around on her street at this time an as a result no one saw the woman jump off the awning. She smiled and entered her favorite coffee shop for breakfast.

Kojiro smiled as he smelled the air as he walked. Coffee. Smelled like a good idea. He walked into the shop and ordered his coffee, Black with sugar. He set his Nodachi on the table and began to drink. He had noticed Fyra when he walked in, but he didn't want to bother her so early in the morning.

Fyra noticed her acquaintance but did nothing. She had work to do and there would hardly be enough room for her coffee on the table. Her favorite thing about this shop had to be it's policy on weapons. She began taking knives out of every imaginable place. Four from each boot, one from either sleeve, a set of ten from her bodice... She pulled them out so quickly it was impossible to see where she got them all from. In all, there were twenty seven knives, three darts and two hairpins on the table when she finished.

If Kojiro knew how to laugh out loud he would. The sight of Fyra's weaponry was priceless. She could take out an army with all those weapons! She was a very interesting person indeed. Kojiro could not wait to get to know her a little more. Even a sparring session or two would be nice. He continued to drink his coffee.

Fyra set to polishing her knives and then covering them with a sealant. She brought out an odd glass jar and set to mixing something in it, counting as she went. It hissed and, at one point, melted her spoon. She smiled at that point and set the glass down so the mixture could settle. The moment it turned transparent, she brought a glass rod out of her bag and used it to cover the knives in the liquid. She smiled serenely. When she had finished, she carefully packed everything away. Including all twenty seven knives, three pins, and her two hairpins. If anyone walked in, she would appear to be just another college student having coffee before class. She motioned to Kojiro to come join her with a friendly smile.

Kojiro smiled and nodded. He stood, grabbed his long sword and walked over to her. He used his sword to trip a man who was harassing a waitress along the way. When the man tried to retaliate, Kojiro simply hit the man's forehead with the tip of his sheath, knocking him out. He then sat down across from Fyra.

Fyra sighed and wrote on the menu: "Was that necessary?" She drained her coffee and set it silently down again. "I need to pay a visit to the guild today. They should have collected the fee for me by now." She watched the customer on the floor and smiled as he stirred. "I don't envy the headache you're going to have, sir." she said to him. "Try it again and you will know the true meaning of pain."
The man glared at her but did not move.

Kai walked into the restaurant and past the commotion not caring a bit of what was going on. He took a seat in the corner and leaned back as he crossed his arms and watched since there wasn't anything else to do.

He red her lips as she spoke to the man he just impeded and almost laughed. After she turned back to him he wrote: Can I come with you and see your guild? I won't speak to anyone about it He chose his words careully, adding in the "Speak to anyone" joke in for amusement.

Upon the entrance of a new person, Fyra's hand disappeared up her sleeve. She looked at the person for a few moments, considering his threat level and decided to keep a hold on her favorite knife. Just in case. She read the note and chuckled. "As long as you don't write to anyone, either. You won't be able to pass the main entrance, though."

Not even if I want to join or challenge the head of the guild? Kojiro thought the guild was like the schools back in Japan. Samurai challenged powerful schools to test their own strength. Kojiro was interested in seeing where Fyra got her training. If Fyra was this skilled than he could only imagine what the master was like.
His keen eyes glanced at the new person and he smiled. He was strong too! He put his Nodachi by his side for the new man to see. The six foot long Japanese sword was even taller than the relatively tall Kojiro.

"I'm not sure you can. It is the assassin's guild after all." She sighed. "Why is he watching us?" She tightened her grip on her knife and wondered how fast his reactions were.

Kai looked at the man's weapon and grinned as he raised his katana showing the craftsmanship of it and then he glanced at the girl and then away from the two of them.Kai put his katana down back by his side and fixed his hat.

It is fine, Fyra-san. He means us no harm. Put your knife away Kojiro wrote this before standing up. He pulled out the paper that said his name and waled over to the man. He pointed to the paper than himself. He then wrote: Join us?
