I agree with Talon. In fact, most of the DECENT Christians I know (and I do know quite a few) don't believe in Hell, or believe in a very modified concept of such. One friend, in a discussion with a Catholic mutual friend (on our Girl Scout trip so I was in the car listening to every word) managed to make a strong logical case, from my point of view, at least, as to why Hell doesn't exist.

Heh... my friend gives me two reasons to believe in God. "Jesus existed" and "If I'm right, I'll go to heaven". She's also pro-life and anti-gay. Other than her bigoted opinions (which she's not vocal about... especially since my friends disagree) she's nice. She also claims that God makes her feel better. Which is fair enough, really... I view religion as necessary.
If she's wrong, she's spent her whole life following someone else's rules and not her own mind.

On a positive note "hellfire and brimstone", as I like to call her, has been banned from youtube for her harassing posts. All her posts on videos have been removed as well.
Kudo's to the staff for finally taking this s**t seriously.

This sounds like occam's razor. ............God Exists, God does not exist I believe.....1.................0 I do not......0*.................0 1 = I get rewarded 0 = I get nothing 0* = I get nothing or I go to hell. In reality the table should have a LOT more across the top; God Exists, Jesus exists, Muhammad Exists, Shiva Exists, Voltron Exists, Zues Exists, etc The smart choice would be to select the religion that is the oldest and sounds the most true (or that possibly has the most adherents throughout history) or something like that. But then you run the risk that your disingenuous and insincere adherence to a religion (as opposed to true faith) isn't enough to earn you that deity's favor. No matter what; odds are you're screwed and there are no "safe" choices sweatdrop

Ok this isn't exactly a "pro-life love" quote but it is hilariously stupid. Diane comment #96: Quote: Sex is not immoral…it is the way that we procreate…how could we think it’s immoral?? It is one of the greatest gifts you can give your spouse. NOW…sex outside of marriage?? Yes, that is immoral AND the source of so much misery in the world. If society expectation and policy will put sex back into the marriage box, a whole bunch of the world’s problems go away…that is the ideal and the one that we should strive for, not default into the ’sex outside of marriage will happen’ mode that society accepts” EDIT: For some reason this post ******** up the page so I edited it in hopes it would look normal again.

She doesn't talk about it a lot, though. Lady: WTF? Sex outside marriage has ALWAYS existed, no matter what societal expectations there were in the 'good old days'.

Another comment from the recent child rape cases in Europe. Comment Yes, I believe that children should be forced to have children, as terrible as that situation is. You and I are forced not to kill people everyday. Why is it all right to kill an unborn child?

Obviously the first part of that statement is very very disturbing but I got to ask... how are we forced not to kill people everyday? Is this commentor just waiting to go on a killing spree but because of a restraining order is forbidden from coming near any of his potential victims? Or does he just want to kill all teh murderin womynz who kill dem babeeez and can't for obvious reasons such as the women have actual real personhood?

Hoo boy... This one isn't mean, it's just... pathetic: Palandrome Alright, I'm throwing this out there: I'm pro-life (gasp) in certain situations (phew) The only situation I see abortion being okay is when either the mother's life is on the line or the baby is a product of rape. Otherwise, they should have the baby. A person chooses to have a baby, whether they be teen or adult, when they have sex. I like the idea of abstinence teaching, just because it throws out the choices, explains the best way to go, and leaves your life for you to live. I don't think they should put a law in place that bans abortion in any way, but I don't want my tax dollars to fund abortion, less the one wanting an abortion has their life on the line or was raped. ...Ouch.

The OP of "Abortion: from the pro-life pov", or whatever the hell that thread is called, says that no abortion = more choice for women.
She seems to think: Less choice = more choice.
So, she's changed the laws of math; 3-1=3, not 2, guys. We were wrong. surprised
