 Madame LeotaThe Gracey Manor was big... VERY big. Kaze had told MacBeth that his companion would be waiting for him inside the Seance Room on the second floor... The Seance Room? What kind of madhouse was this, anyway? MacBeth didn't believe in ghosts, even if the play named after him said that he did. The door shut behind him as he entered, and he was face to face with a portrait. "Handsome chap," mused MacBeth as he went into a room as another door slid open... he didn't even stay long enough to see the man in the picture whither until he was nothing but bones. "WELCOME... foolish mortal, to the Haunted Mansion. I am your host... your Ghost Host... kindly step all the way into the room, please. There's no turning back now...""This is problematic," mused MacBeth, "I wonder where the man behind the curtain is?" But there was no curtain. After a look at the chilling portraits hanging on the wall, MacBeth entered another door and went down the hall. He stepped into a corridor that seemed to lead down a misty hallway, and he was about to walk down it when a strange carriage came and picked him up from behind, sitting him down and sending him down his trip... "I do hope that your... Doom Buggy... is comfortable..."TO BE CONTINUED...

Part Two
"Yes, it's comfortable..." MacBeth's manners were impecable, even in this situation. However, he wanted to get out of that... Doom...bug... whatever, and the bars were -not- coming up.
"Kindly remain seated, and keep all arms and legs inside your Doom Buggy. We don't want any... limbs... to become detached during a sharp turn..."
As if to emphasize the point, the Doom Buggy suddenly swerved and went down a long, narrow corridor. Doors were on each side of him, and they weren't silent. Door knockers were knocking, people were yelling... whoever or WHATEVER was in there wanted out.
"I'm actually here to inquire about a Madame--"
"Madame Leota, yes... I know. She's been packing all night. Thank you... for taking her off our hands."
MacBeth gulped. He didn't like the idea of 'taking someone off their hands' ....

Madame Leota
Part Three
"No, no, Gus, put that down! Yes, in the carpetbag. Good, very good..."
As the Doombuggy turned a corner, it screeched to a jarring halt.
In the center of the room was a large carpetbag, covered with cobwebs, that made Mary Poppins look like a pansy...
Floating in the middle of the room was a crystal ball.
"Hello, you must be the young MacBeth..."
"Ma'am, are you by any chance..."
"Cut the formalities, MacBeth. I am Leota, Madame Leota," as she snapped at the teenager, the carpetbag flew into the Doombuggy and landed with a CLUNK! on MacBeth's lap. Leota calmly followed it, hovering a little bit beside MacBeth.
"Okay, Gracey. Stop with the narration and get us out of here snappy-like. I don't want to go through that annoying jamboree and have a hitch-hiker follow us home, comprende?"
MacBeth knew that it was going to be quite a ride with his new companion...

The morning of the 13th of April, 2006
Last night, little Wendy came to me, quite distressed. She's worried about Double, who has had some very disturbing dreams. Everyone has nightmares, but who has nightmares for countless nights in a row?
I've decided to have X and Duble share a room. Maybe company will put the latter at ease...
However, there is also a selfish reason that I'm doing this. I want to convert Double's old room into a practice area for swordfighting. After all, I did promise Aurora that I'd teach her how to use a sword!

MacBeth walked into the library with Sephiroth, still thinking about what Sephiroth had said.
"I wish that there was something that could be done. Even if there was..." MacBeth shook his head, "I doubt that Double would let us get close to him without taking off a few important limbs first. We may both be skilled swordsmen, but that man is fast... I've seen him run up walls!"

"What about netting?" Sephiroth asked as he followed along beside Macbeth.
He was glad that the teen had taken him seriously when he had suggested using Selona or Seraph to fix the situation. This brother sounded like alot of trouble waiting to happen.

"He has these weird energy blades..." MacBeth shook his head, "I think that only people as powerful as Seraph or Selona could get near him. No offense to you, of course. I just don't want you to take the risk of getting hurt."
Foot in mouth.
"I mean, I don't want Seraph or Selona to either, but... I mean..." MacBeth sat down, "Don't mind me, I've been feeling rather jumbled lately."

Smiling reassuringly Seph plunked down beside Mac and said "No worries. I don't feel like getting hurt either. You said he is half mechanical?"
A plan just might be formulating here if he was right about something.

MacBeth shook his head, "He's not -half- mechanical. He's -all- mechanical. He's a Reploid... have you ever met Axl or Duo, or my brother X? They're all Reploids as well. Double's a bit... different, though. When he's in his 'Maverick' form it seems almost like most of his limbs are made out of..."
MacBeth paused to chuckle, "Jell-O."

Looking thoughtful for a moment Sephiroth nodded then said "Then electrical currents would be a dangerous thing for him in large quantities correct?"
If it came down to it he believed he knew a way to subdue the child without harming him completely.

"Yes," MacBeth nodded, "He'd probably even melt a bit." MacBeth rested his chin on his hand, but then snapped up-- suddenly realizing what Sephiroth was suggesting.
"You don't think that ... what if it killed him? How would I explain that to Mother?"

"Oh I would never kill him or anyone for that matter. I would use only a small bolt to detain him. Not harm him." Sephiroth replied mildly surprised that MacBeth would think of him in such a way.
After the issues he had in his life he would never raise his hand against someone with the intention to kill them.

Many things have happened. After a long absence, Mother has finally returned to the Realm. And just in time, too, for shortly after that a new addition came to our expansive family. This time it was a little centaurette that went by the name of "Quackers". It was no surprise that she was drawn to Mother, as she was wearing her Ducky Hat and had many of her little ducklings around her feet.
Alice (and Gus), Constance, and Wendy have moved in together, claiming a small section of rooms as their 'house'. I swear my castle is turning more and more into an apartment complex!
I've heard that Double has moved in with Nova, though I'm not sure. More luck to her if that is the case.
Rikku and Ruby are doing well, and Pleakley has grown a lot since he first arrived. He's still a baby, but he's healthy and full of life.
Ivy has taken to following me around a lot. Leota calls her a nuisance, but she's well-meaning... I think. I've taken to teaching her how to use a sword, and she's picking it up well.
Gracey is spending a lot of time with his new friend, Melanie. But when he's not with her, he's either glued to my hip or Leota. He seems really worried about something...
As for me, I'm still looking forward to that date with Terra. ^////^
