"When we get close to the bottom, I'll help you as best I can. You don't look to heavy and I am used to carrying large weights. Now lets go." she said. She slowly made her way down one branch, looking to him to follow.

Phoenix stood back, remaining hesitant to move initially. Some of those branches didn't look very stable... he was still wearing his shoes as well, so maybe he wouldn't be able to stand on some of them properly. He was also still very high up - plenty of distance to fall and sustain an injury. He was still quite afraid.
Still, when Morgana moved away, he began to follow. She seemed to know what she was doing, and he felt safer being around somebody else right now. Even if she was scary looking, she was helpful.
"Hah hah..." He gave her a lopsided grin. "Heavy, me? Not really. I'm not scrawny, but I'm not fat either. Just tell me what to do, and I'll try it. You won't necessarily have to carry me." He stopped for another moment to pluck some more small sticks out of his hair, groaning. "I'm going to need a nice warm bath after this..."

"Once you're on the ground, we'll head over to the HQ of the Realm and see about getting you cleaned up." she said and she slowly went down from branch to branch, taking the more unstable ones since she could easily fly to another if it broke under her weight.

"That sounds like a good idea, actually." Phoenix replied quickly. "I have sticks in my hair. It needs to be combed, and re-gelled. And this suit is going to need ironing again, or something..."
The defense lawyer Kitsusagi continued to follow Morgana, cautiously eyeing some of the branches she was standing on. Still, if she could stand on them and they didn't break, he could too...
He bounded down from one branch to another, slow in his movements. He took another step forwards, a hind paw not quite making it's mark, causing him to stumble forwards and down, yelling loudly.
"Crap, crap, crap!!" He yelped, wings flailing uselessly, grabbing at anything his paws would cling to. He ended up falling only about three feet down onto the lower branches, but the slip-up had made the Kitusagi terrified. He once again clung to the tree trunk, not wanting to move now.
"You... keep going ahead..."

She gasped when he had slipped and started to fall and she was just ready to flap her wings to catch him, but she stopped when he told her to keep going, "Are you sure? We aren't that far from the ground now and I could carry you the rest of the way." she said.

Phoenix lowered his head. The idea of being carried made him unhappy, more out of a sense of lost dignity than anything else. Not that he had much dignity being stuck in a tree, anyway.
"Oh, no... I'm fine." He said quickly, trying to sound confident. Although confidence was the last thing he was feeling right now. "I'll just, um.. stay up here and eat the acorns."

She sighed and shook her head, "Phoenix Wright, you cannot lie to me, I'm an Angelic, we know when we are being lied to. It's not in my nature to see anyone uncomfortable, especially when someone can't use their wings yet. Now please...let me help you." she pleaded.

Phoenix released a sigh from his lungs, raising his attention back up at her again, icy blue eyes looking miserable. "I'm sorry." He said quietly. "It's... it's no good to lie. It's against everything I stand for. But... well, uh. You understand, don't you? I hate heights... when I get down from here, I don't think I am ever going to climb into a tree again."
"You're being a coward, Phoenix." He thought to himself. After a moment, a determined scowl formed on his face, and he finally managed to pry himself away from the tree trunk again, keeping his attention straight ahead of him now.
"Keep leading the way. You're right, we're nearly there." He stated, seeming annoyed with himself.

She figured he never would want to climb back into a tree again, not after this experience and she nodded her head when he told her to keep going. She hopped down from branch to branch and stopped on a branch that was only 5 feet from the ground and she opened her wings and hovered her way down to the ground.

Phoenix continued to follow the Angelic female, finally stopping as she hopped out of the tree and sailed the rest of the way down. He peered down through the leaves, sniffing the air cautiously, folding up his wings and pressing them tightly against his back.
"Are you sure that's safe? Gliding like that got me stuck up here in the first place." He stated, frowning. "And knowing my luck, the moment I jump into the air, a gust of wind will pick me up and throw me into the next... tree somewhere."

She smiled up at him in reassurance, "I am sure, there is nothing in the way or I would have been caught too. It will only take a few seconds and then you will be back on the ground." she said in a gentle, reassuring tone.

Phoenix ducked his head, pinning his ears back, acting much rather like a reluctant child who didn't want to jump off a jungle gym. He remained in the lower branches of the tree, at first reluctant to move anywhere.
"You're still being a coward, Phoenix. This female was nice enough to help you, the least you could do is trust her." He mentally berated himself, then shook his head, taking a blind leap out of the tree, his wings still crunched tightly up against his back.
He fell to the ground rather ungracefully, and landed abruptly in a random heap beside her, face in the dirt.
"Owwww..."

She stepped aside when he leapt out of the tree and then fell to the ground and she went to help him up, "See, you're back on the ground again!" she said, deciding not to voice her comment on how he probably would have landed without any pain if he had opened his wings and let the air take him down.

Phoenix spat dirt out of his mouth, then began to brush his suit off once he was helped to his feet again.
"Yeah..." He nodded slowly, in pain from his fall, but pleased. "The ground is good. I don't think I was ever meant fot flying." He sat on his hinds and began to whack the dirt off his blue suit sleeves. "Thanks for your help... Morgana. I'd probably still be up there if it wasn't for you. Wait, not probably. Most definitely."
He gave her a lopsided grin, then began to chuckle. "Oh man, now I think I am beginning to understand why Kitsusagi don't wear clothes much. Stupid dirt..."

She gave an easy chuckle, giving a good natured smile, "Now I wouldn't say that, it just takes a while for a Kitsu to use their wings if they aren't really born with them from 'before'. Now lets get you to the HQ and get you cleaned up, it isn't very far from here actually." she said, moving to lead the way.
