Oscwen only watched Ix's uncomfortable expression with the concept of where he was from, and she refrained from asking any further questions on the subject. She only looked at the two during a brief silence and answered her part as well. "And I am not really sure where I am originally from, I was adopted when young into a family that tended to travel a lot, so I have had many homes." Ah yes, her family that was fake, as she put it.
Ix's line of work sounded interesting, and anything that involved fieldwork of some sort brought a smile to her face. "I don't think it sounds odd at all. I hope to see some great things from your line of work!" She was almost excited at the thought of some new discoveries.
It was easy for Oscwen to appreciate what Ix was interested in, since she was someone who was obsessed with reading and science. "What about you, Vlasia?" she turned her head and grinned in a kind manner. "What sort of things interest you?"

An almost shrill shriek suddenly cut through the air.
"IX! What did you do to my notes?!"
The outraged tone was coming from a boy no older than fourteen, who was storming over with fury clearly evident in his blue eyes. Aside from his rage he looked like a perfectly groomed little gentleman, with his blonde hair perfectly styled and wearing fine azure silks under a heavier, but still finely tailored jacket. A little white and blue dragon clung to the thicker material and seemed unperturbed at his wizard's pace, even though it threatened to shake him loose.
The young boy approached the group only to completely ignore everyone except Ix.

If you're going through Hell, Keep on going. Vlasia seemed - and truly was - unaffected by the way Ix responded. It seemed that quite a few people responded in such a manner. Very well. One way or another, she would eventually know more about him. If she cared after this conversation, that is.
Her eyes moved to Oscwen as she inquired about Vlasia's own interests. Hmmmm....how best to put it. Dark Arts? Things that the Order warned against and tried to regulate most fervently? Things that her family made sure she knew? No, that probably wouldn't go over well. Her dragon gave a little purr and curled up in her lap, causing her to look down. The dragon? Well, considering that the dragon was a crucial part to all of this...could be the best answer. Dark Arts or no, Vlasia typically liked to keep her motives and goals to herself.
"Studies of the mind," she said with a small smile, eyes betraying very little - it was the truth, after all...in a way - "and this little guy, of course. The more I know of him, the better I myself can become."
Her eyes flicked to the little...well, brat, that decided to grace them with his presence. Friend of Ix'? Relative? Servant? No, too rich to be a servant. Probably of another House, by the looks of him. A house that didn't do a very good job in the manners category, it seemed. Regardless, Vlasia immediately decided that this one was low on her priority list.
"Perhaps he stuffed them in his ears, to ward off that call of a banshee that you seem to be so good at emitting," she said quite clearly, staring at this newcomer with an unwavering gaze. You might get out before the Devil even knows you're there.

Ix turned smoothly, allowing his gaze to slowly slide to the young boy. If anything, he was used to such outbursts, so the shrill cry hardly bothered him at all.
"What....you mean you don't enjoy doodles of explosions and the like around all your precious calculations Rae? I thought -everyone- enjoyed those."

Oscwen was also suprised by the new arrival, and she moved her silver eyes to observe the young boy. She kept herself quiet, since observing was really the only thing she did. It also didn't seem like she needed to say anything, since she was unfamiliar to what the boy was worried about. A part of her was intrigued to see what the blondish boy was yelling about, and she was suprised in herself for showing such interest in something so random. Her social skills were really improving, it seemed!
Oscwen was also interested to know how Ix knew the boy, and she looked back at forth at everyone's reaction every few minutes.

The boy could have glared daggers at Vlasia, but aside from that his attention was entirely on the green haired wizard.
"I certainly do not, I had to set three scribes to decipher what remained visible and recopy my notes for me! And stop calling me Rae, it's not proper and you know my full name perfectly well."
The small blonde huffed and crossed his arms, giving his little dragon a chance to pounce at Estuary and try to playfully bite the water dragon's tail.
"Valeo, stop that, you know how unsightly that looks."
The boy muttered in a much kinder tone to his dragon, with no bite at all to the disapproving look he gave the creature. Valeo chirped in response, and continued the chewing for as long as Estuary would tolerate it.

If you're going through Hell, Keep on going. Vlasia smirked a little, closing her eyes and lowering her chin as he spoke. Scribes. Ah, so he was as she was....to a degree. No doubt he had been raised and taught, like her, that he was in a higher class than most others - it could be seen in how he spoke and dressed. Not so much what he said (as that was rude) as how he said it, and the silks that mimicked her own silky emerald gown...though hers was understated by a dark cloak...yeah. Mhm. The background was similar at its core. What remained similar beyond that, though, she did not yet know. Nor, at the present time, did she want to know.
The fact that Ix remained so passive to the boy's screech earned him a little more respect from Vlasia. Furthermore, his choice of words would have earned a chuckle from the Aspera daughter had the boy - Rae? - not already shifted her attitude in a negative direction. Ah, but once again, she should be trying not to judge on appearance. Outward does not always reflect the inward.
...she'd be surprised if his insides were any different than his outsides.
Mentally chiding herself, she looked back up at the two..combatants? Hardly. Friends, she supposed, though the relationship seemed oddly tilted. The woman remained quiet. It would be interesting to see what Ix said next. You might get out before the Devil even knows you're there.

"Why, dear Rae, didn't you decipher the notes on your own? They are -yours- afterall, so even with my...decorations you shouldn't have had any problem at all. You are a hard worker, no?"
Ix couldn't help but smile, despite how angry the younger boy was with him. Such things were usual for the two, and still they held a close friendship.
...Or something like that.
"And yes, I do indeed know your full name. But...it's so -long-. Rae is much more efficient...and cuter."
The slightly older wizard grinned and moved as if to teasingly pinch the other's cheeks.
Estuary, pleased to have his friend around, chirped in response and swished his tail at Valeo. Such an action would at least give the cure dragon something to chase. Besides, Ix hardly minded if they played all over him. In fact the green haired wizard looked nothing but calm as the two playfully fought on his shoulders.

Oscwen paused for a moment before looking at the new dragon closely. What an interesting sight, its wings were some she had not seen before. She needed to remember little details on him as well, just as she did before with the other two.
"How do you two know each other?" she then asked, feeling abit shy in her speech. She actually enjoyed the feeling of being invisible, but Syclla wasn't helping with that at all!
The pinkish Dragon was watching the newly appeared Dragon n** at Estuary, and her face dripped with jealousy. She curled around Oscwens leg, only to flap her wings in discomfort and to shake her head eagerly. In her own silly way, Scylla was just pouting as usual!
Oscwen picked Scylla up and patted her, only to watch her flap her wings and nest on her shoulder. This must have been fun for her Dragon, so she decided to stick around, even though socializing with others was not a huge priority of hers.

The small wizard looked more perturbed if that were even possible, and his glare was the most chilling shade of blue.
"It would not have been a problem if your contemptuous doodling didn't cover the entire page! I do not see the need for doing my work twice even if I were a slacker. Scribes are paid for copying, not for thinking, so it is only fitting that they fix this disaster you've once again set up around me."
He continued to ignore the other two, until one of them spoke up.
"Ix is my roommate," he said without even glancing in her direction, and then continued his tirade after smacking Ix's hand away from his face. "Then I would request that you use it, and stop with your pet name. I am not your pet, nor do I appreciate your reasons for using such silly and informal addresses."
The little dragon, Valeo, gurgled happily and chased after the tail, crawling all about Ix's shoulders as he tried to catch Estuary's tail in claws or teeth. The little dragon was more social than his master though, pausing in is play to chirp inquisitively at the two unfamiliar dragons as though inviting them to play too.

If you're going through Hell, Keep on going. Vlasia raised a brow. She was unsure of whether she should laugh, or get irritated. This was quite uncalled for in her eyes. It was like an odd form of a 10-year old tantrum...wearing silk. He handled himself well at the base of it all, but the execution was not what she would expect from the appearance. But then, the breed that the boy and herself were from could be known to...well...do whatever the hell they pleased. It was their right as those of a higher class, or so they were taught. So, in that respect, he was only doing as nature commanded. No fault in that.
....mmm.
She decided to speak up, if for no other reason than to keep the conversation going as Stolz climbed upon her shoulder and began chattering with the others of his kind. "Ix, might you introduce your...friend, here?" You might get out before the Devil even knows you're there.

"And did you ever stop to think that just -maybe- I don't appreciate you coming over here in your silly attempt to humiliate me in front of my new friends? No, you're not my pet, but I'm not a child either."
Ix frowned just slightly as his hand was smacked away, but was quickly back to his usual smile.
"Besides, you gotta like my informal addresses, or my disasters, or...something about me at least. Otherwise you wouldn't keep me around now would you?"
That finished, Ix let his gaze slide back to Vlasia.
"This is Raelan. We've been roomies for a while now."
Estuary chirped and took refuge on Ix's head. The water dragon's finned tail winded down to wrap loosely around the wizard's neck for stability.

It was no suprise now that the two males knew each other- Oswen wasn't very familiar with what a roomate really was, but she knew that implied that two people knew each other very well. Hearing that reminded her that she still had other things to learn about the social world.
Oscwen decided to speak up as well, since she enjoyed that Ix considered her and Vlasia his 'friends'. "It is nice to meet you Raelan, my name is Oscwen. I figured I'd introduce myself even if you are not very keen on meeting us." such a strange thing for her to say, but she grinned and felt included for once in something! With a light bow, she smiled at him warmly.
Syclla took the dragons invitation almost instantly, and crept a few paces forward, only to sniff casually and then chirp in a happy response. She skiddered around the other Dragons, also feeling excited to also be involved.
Oscwen could only smile while watching her Dragon, it had been awhile since she had seen Syclla act out so playfully. "What is your Dragons name?" she asked, towards Raelan.

Raelan scowled more.
"I'm not trying to humiliate you, I simply wish you to stop messing around with my things! Is it not too much to ask if you could limit your senseless destruction of my possessions to perhaps only one or two a week?"
He seemed to mellow out with an exasperated sigh, and then surprisingly turned to give Oscwen a formal bow as was suitable greeting for those bred to upper class societies. "The pleasure is mine, I regret to have troubled you and Ix with my poor disposition this afternoon. My dragon's name is Valeo, I assure you he is pleased to meet you as well."
Indeed, the little dragon was chattering happily with another dragon to play with. The formalities had once again given him the impression of a young nobleman, it would be easy to see why the egotistical boy could appear downright charming when he decided to be civil. Unfortunately it didn't happen often.

If you're going through Hell, Keep on going. "Pleased to meet you, Raelan."
This came after Ix spoke. Granted, she wasn't really pleased, but she would be polite. No bowing. Her family only bowed to those in authority - in other words, very few.
Indeed, he did seem as if he could be charming when he wanted to. If, and when, he wanted to. His sudden (and perhaps brief) transformation proved that much. Will and necessity were separated by a very fine line, though. Which one he just acted out of remained to be seen. After all - he may have noticed that he was giving himself a potentially bad reputation in the eyes of two strangers, initiating necessity. No nobleman could afford a bad name.
Unless you had enough money. But that was an entirely different matter.
She remained silent after that, watching her three companions as Stolz struggled to take flight. You might get out before the Devil even knows you're there.
