Desdemona laughed a little, but stopped. Laughing hurt. "I am always prepared for the worst. There may not be predators that could eat me, but there are the things you call 'friendly stallions' everywhere. Then, there are things such as yourself, that are quite larger than I, that could squash me like the insignificant little insect I am."
She looked him up and down now, grinning fully for the first time ever. "I've never seen something the likes of you before. I'd assume you'd've eaten me by now," she said dreamily, trotting around him with ease. "Three-headed buggers? Never heard of them... I've heard that some can be infertile, but that's about it..."
She pulled a few blades of grass from the small area by the rock, her tail ( and seaweed ) flicking her backside as she went. It wasn't a necessary precaution, as the bugs somehow left her alone, but it had become a habit when she was in a very comfortable situation.

Ignatius snorted and looked down at himself. "I've never seen anything else like me either but you needn't worry about me taking a bite out of you." The stallion returned the smile. "I have a rule see; if it talks, don't eat it. Don't tell though; it's a secret." There were quite a lot of Nequus across Urin that he had persuaded otherwise in order to make them let him be.
"I can't do that," the brown Reya commented as he watched the brightly-coloured mare’s swishing tail. "I'd cut myself most likely. Still, my tail is useful for other things." Like beating the s**t out of people with. Nobody ever expected a tail to be used as a serious weapon. Oh how he loved the element of surprise.

Desdemona shrugged. "White lies are always nice," she said dreamily, flicking her mane back out of her face. "I've always liked saying that I'll sick the Moon Goddess on those who cross me."
She trotted a bit further away from the stallion, thinking for a moment. "It's always amusing when I begin speaking in Her language and the other Nequus runs in fear." She snorted. "Stupid and immature."
She glanced over at Ignatius, studying him for a moment. "You don't seem like the type that would fall for that. I'd expect you to join right in."

Who the hell, Ignatius still wanted to know, was this moon goddess? Bae, Jala, Aeri, Ichsa and Reya; those were the deities legends spoke of, not some some moon lady or other. As to a language... This cross-breed was clearly off her rocker; that was what blood-blending did for you it seemed, she was the first he’d met so he didn’t know if others were equally loopy. Still, she was entitled to her beliefs even if he did happen to think they were utter bollocks.
The draconic stallion shrugged as the other Nequus finished speaking. "I'd certainly watch and chant along if that would help," he offered with a sharp-toothed grin. Perhaps that was all she really did, mumble away to herself thinking she was talking to a goddess. Well, whatever; none of his business. Could be funny to watch though, he supposed.

Desdemona bowed her head low and closed her eyes in thanks. "I appreciate the support," she laughed, lifting her head back up to normal height.
It was then that a harsh bolt of panic flashed through her, and she glanced up at the sky. She growled as she noticed that the sun, the bright light that burned her eyes and warmed her wings, was right above her, at its highest peak of the day.
"I apologize," she began slowly, backing away from the stallion. "I've got to be off... the Moon Goddess..." she mumbled, nearly tripping over a rock as she walked backward.

Ignatius repressed a laugh and nodded. “Alright then, perhaps I’ll see you again sometime. Have fun with your goddess, I have things to do off down the coast.” Like keep away from the crazy lady. Shesh. Snorting to himself and shaking his head, the spined stallion turned away from the half-blooded mare and set off along the waterline at an easy trot. There was a stream the way he was heading once you got up onto the cliffs and he hadn’t had anything to drink today.
The Reya snorted to himself and picked up his pace, privately wondering if he was going to choke himself trying to laugh and drink at the same time. Moon Goddess. Moonstruck more like; crossbreeds really were nutters. Chuckling softly, the scaled creature launched himself into the the air and soared onto towards the cliffs. He did not look back even once.
