That sound...was that a soft giggle? Setsumi rose to her feet, edging near in curiousity. There were no obvious sounds of a scuffle, leaving her to think it was probably a field mouse. Surprise crossed her face as Ed rose with a creature hanging above his braided hair. What was that thing? She hunched lightly as the kitsu...thing floated overhead.
Ronan blinked a few times, simply staring at the bright critter. Once his mind connected to his stare, his paw darted out to point at the new visitor. "Big dragonfly!!!"

"Edward? Are you okay?"
Liliana hopped backwards as the small flying kitsu came near her to investigate, green eyes flicking anxiously to Edward then briefly to the others. "A cherub kitsu? Daddy spoke of them once but..." The scholarly witch frowned, her wand paw wavering. "Can't be... Daddy & Uncle AearHwesta described them as being much smaller..." There was a confused look in her eyes. "A different kind of kitsusagi?"

Cleaning himself off sufficiently, Ed looked towards Lilianna with a bit of exasperation, "Yeah, I'm fine" he muttered. The teen seemed to be uninjured, wth the exception of his pride that is. The alchemist eventually joining Lily at her side while watching the source of his momentary ire.The little blue fellow buzzed around them, perking his ears as they spoke of him as if he wasn't there. They could just ask you know. "My name's Callisto!" he told them, "And I'm a Pixie Kitsusagi!" a paw pointing to his chest. "Who are you?" antennaed head tilting slightly in curiousity.

The purple adult seated herself as she watched the little kitsu float on by. She herself had never seen this breed, and had no idea as to what it was even called. An ear tilted toward the scholarly female, listening to her opinion of what it may be. A cherub? "It looks...so young." Or was that just it's size? Eyes blinked as the kitsu spoke, and she grinned to the winged boy. "Setsumi..."
Head turned back and forth, Ronan smirking to himself. Hey, that bug kitsu was almost as big as the teen. Snicker snicker. No hint of his thoughts were given though, as he raised a brow to Callisto. "A pixie, eh? I've heard of those critters up in mountain." But he too had never actually seen one before.

Liliana nuzzled the alchemist as he came to her side, leaving a quick kiss at the crease of the underside of his jaw & neck. Her tails brushed against Ed gently, soothingly. "A pixie?"
She blinked, crimson head tilting slightly. Yes, a different subspecies of kitsu would account for the differences from Remus & Aear's descriptions of Cherub Kitsusagi. "From the Mountain? I suppose I've never been around the Mountain long enough to hear of them."
The witch gave a sheepish look, dipping her head into Ed's neck. She had only been to mountain twice: once when Ed had disappeared, hurt; the other when he had called her because Roy was injured. Wait... names? Blink.
Gracefully Liliana straitened neck & head while still remaining close to her beau, responding with a sweat almost dreamlike yet very proud expression. "Liliana Lupin-Elric. Pleased to meet you, Callisto."

Ed would have smacked Ronan if he'd voiced his thoughts aloud, but thankfully he didn't... and thus the teen didn't spazz. However, Lilianna's attentions broung a smile back to his face and a paw placed upon hers. He'd never heard of Pixies either and was curious. However, when Lilianna introduced herself, the alchemist's eyes widened and he blushed heavily when she included his last name. "I'm... Edward Elric" he choked out.
Callisto's head tilted the other way, "Mountain? I'm from here" he told them. Most Pixies weren't from the Mountain, they'd just started appearing there pretty recently. This little fellow though, hung around the jungle and this field. He then giggled at Ed's antics and nodded when they all said their names. "Never seen Kitsusagi like you guys before."

Setsumi gave a light chuckle at Ed's obvious fluster. How new. It left her pondering....what else was new. Afterall, she did have another son. And it wasn't survival that worried her. But, that was thinking too hard on possibilities. She glanced up at the pixie with half curiousity, then turned to Ronan with a raised brow. Please don't say anything absurd...
Hold my tongue, hold my tongue, hold my tongue.
Boy was that hard. Ronan sat as idle as possible, tails sweeping to each side in an active beat. A smile rose to his maw, head tilting to the pixie. "Oh, not many kitsusagi's travel here?" Was this place that deserted for that long? Seemed HQ was almost too popular lately.

A little worried that Ed had to choke out his name, Liliana rubbed the top of her muzzle beneath his chin and gave him an encouraging albeit slightly confused smile.
Green eyes paused at the colorful male curiously, wondering if there was something behind the almost stillness. Then her gaze retuned to the pixie. "We're normal, where we've come from." Ah innocence. "Though there's many other types. Angelics, nightmares, seraphim, bobtail, F'ae, cherub." She did not think of her werewolf brother as a snow nor met her aunt Chroma's mate's uncle Tarik so knew not of that species. Nor had the crimson female met any dragon's or unicorns. Little could she know of the Luck in her own family whose egg had joined Ginny's & the F'ae in waiting to hatch.

"I haven't seen any" Callisto said to Ronan, but then he hasn't been alive all that long either. A look to Lilianna and he grinned, "Normal? Well you sure look funny to me!" The Pixie giggled and then settled down on a nearby rock. "So if you don't live here.. then where are you going?" He was certainly full of questions wasn't he?
Edward just hadn't really thought about the idea of Lilianna taking his last name. But well.. if they were to be mates, then it made since. But still.. it was strange.. but he kinda liked it. Lilianna Elric.. that had a nice ring to it. A nuzzle being given to his mate-to-be in while he mirrored her smile. All the while, he listened to the conversation at hand.

My, that was alot of kitsusagi types. Setsumi blinked at the list, able to visualize each species she had met. All but the F'ae, whatever those may be. Ears flickered as she turned back to the pixie. Active little thing, or so he seemed to be. She paid no mind to his question, instead asking another. "Do you live here alone, Callisto?" He seemed awfully chipper for someone out here without anyone for company.
"We're just heading over to jungle." Eh, seemed this kitsu was just a bored bystander. He wondered how far he had been in the grass, or even if the little fellow had tagged along without them knowing.

Funny? A perplexed look crossed the crimson femme's face, an expression hard to keep with Ed's proximity. Of course not feeling at all threatened by the lone pixie probably helped too somewhat. She leaned happily into Edward's nuzzle, loving his smile and not realizing it mirrored hers. Silently Lily studied the small winged kitsu, mentally storing things away so she could add the things she learned about it to her family's book of kitsu & their subspecies at home.

"Oh!" Callisto replied in a chipper manner, "I mostly live in the jungle, but sometimes I come out here. Wherever the flowers are." The queston of being alone then caused him to tilt his head and then nod, "Well yeah... that's just how some of us are. I don't see very many other Pixies, but that's okay. More nectar for me!"
A glance was given to Lily at the perplexed look on her face and he chuckled, "Normals aren't considered normal to him, so we look strange." Edward didn't mind being called funny looking.. it was just when the term short was applied to him that he got really riled.

"A jungle dweller, eh. Then perhaps you wouldn't mind showing the way?" Normal or not, kits were kits to Ronan. Maybe it was due to his own history, but either way, Ronan was not a type to fit too easily in the company of young ones.Thus said, he was ready to move about. Besides, maybe Callisto knew some good sights to see?

"Oh." Liliana gave a sheepish quirk of her mouth. "Well, yes... I suppose that would make sense."
It was like how she thought nothing odd about Kitsu with wings or those that wore clothing because she was accustomed to it. Only reverse... this pixie kitsu only knew of his own kind so everything was funny to him. Or something like that. Maybe. Her thoughts were distracted by Ronan's comment. "That would be awful nice... having a knowledgeable guide." Liliana was thinking about what the feathered female had told her. Perhaps this pixie kitsu knew of them? It could wait.

Guide them? Callisto liked that idea! Perhaps then he could make friends with these funny looking kitsusagi. He didn't really have any friends, and well.. he would like some. "Okay! Where are you going, anyway?" he asked, assuming they were travelers... and that was a pretty good assumption.
Edward grinned, his tails wagging a bit at the idea that they would have a guide. It would make traveling through the jungle faster and easier. However, when Callisto asked where they were going, that was something he couldn't answer as he had no idea. Only the secretive Ronan and Setsumi had any idea where they were going.
