I wish I could make my home fantasy or medivil themed.I don't really have much gold and what I do have have I'm constantly spending on my avatar to get a good look.

How do you get your home to be dark - so that the lights shine in the room?

I think you can accomplish that by turning the global light off, not sure though... rolleyes

You're right, hypnocrown!
Here are the steps:
1) Under "My Gaia" on the main window toolbar, scroll down to "My House" and click.
2) When the Housing commission page comes up, click the link for "Arrange Furniture"
3) When the list of house stuff comes up, look on the right and click "Design My Home"
4) After the home loads, click the "View" tab, the blue one, on the upper left; then click the Sun emblem on the upper right so that it has a dark circle in the centre.
5) If you see some lamps or candles in your house that aren't lit, go back to the upper left and click "Edit"; double-click on any lamp that wasn't lit. (It may not look lit when you double-click on it).
6) Click "View" again; all lamps should be lit. If not, do the steps above again to light them.
If you want your house to appear "dark with lamps on", just hit Save and leave it that way, then you're done. If you want the global light back on, go back in to "Design My Home" and click the sun emblem so it has a white circle in centre.

Right now they're upgrading Gaia House interfaces; they don't work very well and I can't get past the Arranger. *growls* It's been over a week! My house got cleared out--the stuff is still there but now the house is empty... and I can't fix it back up...
*rolls eyes*
