Juliet's ears flattened slightly at the tone of the other mare's voice. She had an uncertain feeling that the other didn't like her too well, and she couldn't blame her, she did pose as a possible threat to the other. Bowing, she stated softly. "Well, I was just curious of how you had met your Prince Charming, Sir Sibalto."

The muscles beneath Firefly's dark coat rippled, causing her skin to twitch just for a moment. Moving her head slightly, her long hair fluttered back and away from her face. She continued to eye the mare before she spoke. "It was a random meeting. I just left my home one day and ran into him on my walk. We started talking and spending more time with one another."
She wasn't quite sure why this other mare wanted to know such a thing. To others it would just seem like another one on one encounter. Nothing out of the ordinary. "Sometimes things just pop up when you least expect them to. And then other things tend to progress. You don't see whats there until later."

Juliet's ears flicked for a moment, almost as if expecting the mare to tell her sternly that it wasn't any of her business. She wouldn't blame her if she did either, it must be strange for another mare to come over and ask such questions... but she meant no harm to Sibalto or her.
"I'm sorry if I upset you. I just enjoy hearing other's fairy tales, especially when they meet their one true love." She explained, head held high despite feeling nervous in front of the mare. "... so yours and Sibalto's love wasn't at first sight I take it?"

Reaching his dark muzzle forward to nibble lovingly at his mate's dainty ears, Sibalto let a rumble of laughter roll out of him. True love at first sight? He winked at the younger mare, who had become a niece of sorts to him.
"Perhaps it was not for one of us, Lady Juliet... But I can tell you, for myself..." He laughed softly and shook his head. "I have never seen one so lovely, and never shall again... Firefly captured my heart in an instant, and I could barely think of a thing to say to her... I am now as I have been ever since I first saw her that day in the woods, entranced. If that is not true love, I do not know what is."
He nuzzled his love's cheek. "I adore you, my Dark Beauty."

Flicking her long tail, she turned her body slightly so that she could almost curl her body around her mate's. An eye still kept on the younger mare as she nipped at his ear. "You can be attracted to someone at first sight, yes. But I believe love takes time."
Glancing at Sibalto now, she gave him a wry smile. "You say that now but wait until I turn into a grumpy old mare. I'll probably drive you away into the sunset."

The burgandy mare watched the display of affection between the pair, smiling softly. She couldn't help but think of how swell it would be to do the same to a mate of her own as her tail gave a happy little flick.
Listening to their words intently, she nodded. "Yes, I believe love takes time as well. I just had heard stories of love at first sight and wondered if they were true. I don't believe it would happen for me exactly, but it's interesting if others have had it happen to them."

"I highly doubt you'll be able to drive me away into the sunset, My Lady... Even if you do turn into the monster you claim..." He murmured in her ear, grinning.
Sibalto glanced at both females, slightly surprised they did not believe in romantic notions such as love at first sight. "Sometimes you know.. Or you feel it... It might take time, it might be instant.. But either way you need to get to know each other, to share where you have been and where you are going... Because you can be in love with someone, and not be compatible.. And vice versa..."

Firefly grinned widely before bumping her hip against her mate's side. She knew there was no way that he'd ever leave. Not even if she told him to and chased him off. He would return.
Nodding her head slowly, her eyes closed. "Yes. Sibalto is right. You might fall head over hooves for someone at first sight, but thats mostly a physical attraction. Its best to test the waters before you go leaping into anything serious."

Juliet watched Firefly give Sibalto a little bump and giggled softly. She was happy to see that the mare didn't seem suspicious about her anymore, not having meant to come between her and her mate. "I will keep that in mind. I thank you for the advice and wonder, is there any other tips you are willing to part with?"
