Yue pointed to one door, recalling what he had seen, and it was a good thing it wasn't as long for them as it had been for the people living here. Otherwise he would probably quite unlikely remember.
"That door," he murmured opening it.

Sitting just on the other side of the door, a few steps up the marble stairs that led up to the main floor of the castle, was a little elven girl. Well, little to some. She was about nine years old, but very nearly Triton's height. She was a thin little thing, whip-thin as some described her. She had dusky skin and vivid green eyes, and her black hair, though she was sitting down, appeared to flow at least down to her ankles.
"Suilad!" she said brightly as the door opened and she saw the angel's face in the doorway. "Welcome! I'm glad to see you found your way through the labyrinth, many have lost more than time in there."
She giggled, the same giggle that had led them through the maze.

"Okay... so who spawned while we were gone?" Donovan inquired bluntly.
He had never seen that little girl before, and the last time he checked there were only two kids running around. He should know, Nina was obsessed with them.

Triton elbowed the elder man, not caring the fact the man was his elder and considered a father to half of his siblings. No wonder why his mother had no problem with whacking Donovan.
"Uhm.. hello there," Triton replied thinking on how tall the girl was, because she sounded young, but... she was his height, which was strange.
Then again she was an elf.

"Thank you, I assume you are the one who lit the torches?" Yue inquired up at the little girl.
Little being a relative thing as he noted, he wasn't even that tall when he was a child. If she was a child, for all he knew she just had a childish voice.
"If you don't mind, we're here to see the Queen, and if it's too late for us to continue our travels to ask to spend the night," he explained.
He was proud, normally it was Yuki doing talking like this.

"Ah, but everyone is in bed," the girl smiled. "Indeed, I should also be in bed. Ada will be frightfully upset if he finds out I'm not."
She giggled again. "Did you like what I did with the torches? I can't make the fire, or light them, I can only make them dim and brighten. But I heard you come in, I didn't want you to get lost. I've heard so much about you!"
She pointed at Triton. "You have ears like a cat," she smiled. "You must be Triton." Her finger moved to point at Yue. "And you," she continued, "are an angel with very long hair. You must be Yue. And you," she giggled, pointing at the last person there, "are very rude, just as I have been told. You must be Donovan!"
She giggled again. "Am I correct?"

Donovan's lips twitched, cute kid, kind of reminded him of some of Kara's other children, only they meant it.
"It's not that I lack manners, I lack tack, like you do kid," he replied back with a smirk, "Did Elrohir tell you of my wonderful lack of manners?"
Not that he minded, in fact the thought amused him a bit, but Donovan was kind of twisted that way.

Triton chuckled at that, he thought it was a bit amusing, but of course he would be amused by all of this. Though since it was very late the question was, what where they going to do for the night?

"I see...." Yue murmured softly trying to think of what to do next.
This had not been expected and now they were stuck here.
"Is there anyone else up at this time of night?"

"The guards," the girl replied with an impish grin, green eyes sparkling mischievously. "Ninako won't mind though, she always likes to hear when we have visitors."
She looked at Donovan and grinned, not even bothering to answer his question. Then she rose to her feet, her long pale nightdress falling to her thin ankles, and turned and started up the stairs in graceful steps. She said nothing to her guests, expecting that they would follow without needing to be told.

"Let's go," Yue motioned to the others, "And hope that the guards are someone who have already met us," he added wrly.
For he had no will to stay in whatever the prison around here might be, nor did he want to get into a fight before the actual fighting had started thank you ever so much. He followed the little girl back up the stairs he recalled.

There were no guards in the hall at the top of the stairs, but when the girl opened the door, there were six in the conference hall on the other side.
One of them, the tallest of them, called out to the girl. She giggled, then replied in a cheerful tone.
"Come," she said lightly, turning back to Yue, Triton and Donovan. "I will take you to the queen. Sir Leith," she added, indicating the guard who had spoken to her, "will be following us. A precautionary measure, nothing more."
And she turned on her heel once more and led them through the conference room and down the hall towards the tower.

Yue wasn't that surprised so he nodded, conintuing to following the girl. Afterall, the amount of guards or the idea of having a guard wasn't different from the last time he was here. He was grateful that they wouldn't be assign guards once out on their own, it would annoy him and probably Donovan too much.

Donovan eyed the guard suspiously even though he knew the guard was probably just there for the kid. Still, he couldn't help it, it was just the way he was. Still he followed the pair, hoping to get this done and over with.

As they followed the little girl and the guard, Triton hoped they weren't waking anyone up. It was rude enough they were here in the middle of the night, not that it could be helped. It was always so ify to see about the time they arrived on top of the fact that time passed so quickly here compared to back home.
