I hate Umbridge, with a passion. She was probably the worst teacher in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class ever (even worst than Snape. At least he taught something).

I violently dislike professors Umbridge and Lockhart with a passion. They just pushed all of my buttons, the horrid wastes of space that they are.

I have loved the series since it came out, just wanted to say that.
And I HATE Umbridge. She's more evil than Voldemort in my opinion >.<

Draco Malfoy.
He's the magical equivalent of Hitler Youth. Little b*****d deserves to be introduced to a copy of the Revelations of Glaaki so that Draco Malfoy will end up serving the Inhabitant of the Lake.

Umbridge a little. Knew she had it coming from moment one though, so she never really bothered me. I really hated Lucius Malfoy and really, really hated Lockhart.

Umbridge definitely tops my list of most hated, followed closely by Bellatrix.

Umbridge for me too.
But, don't you think it's weird that nobody hates Voldemort more than her ?

@ Bulk Bulkard: You can't judge a book like Harry Potter until you've at least read the first two books. The beginning of the books really put you off, but you have to either deal with it or skip to the 2nd or 3rd chapter if you really can't stand it. The first book might seem a bit childish, but that's natural, 'cause Harry's only 11, remember?? And it was a bit too short. But once you get past that it's awesome. The Goblet of Fire was the best, i think.
As for hated characters, i don't actually find Umbridge that bad, because believe me, we've had a French teacher for a year and a half who is much much MUCH worse than her (they were alike in so many ways, even their fashion sense. My french teacher also has a habit of wearing cardigans looking like roadkill dyed pink), though when i was reading it i did find her quite annoying. But, for me, she put a bit of excitement and tension in the book. I'm not saying i LIKE her character, if i were there i would have probably hung onto the back of Fred and George's broomsticks when they escaped.
I think my least favourite characters are Narcissa Malfoy, Wormtail (he's just disgusting), Draco Malfoy, and Bellatrix Lestrange.
But personally, i'm a Tom Riddle and Snape fangirl xD

Well the only characters that I couldn't stand were the Dursely's because the only point of having them in the book was to torture Harry who I also think was a little stupid. NO offense. And also Draco wasn't that bad he was just misunderstood you would probably act sinister if your family was like that to .*sticks tongue out at Malfoy haters*

I can't stand Voldermort, Durslys, and Wormtail otherwise known as peter.
Draco is ok he's not the best, but I like him.

i actualy don't hate voldimort (even though he's the bad guy) i think that he's realy a fasinateing villan

Umbrige i hate, Voldemort could have been more evil, I HATED bellatrix. Ummmm, and Ron was ok but i wouldn't have much patience for him in real life because he was a bit of an idiot
