Aylee
Chaco felt his feet touch the doorstep of the home he was at. A quick glance around and he noticed the mail box. Of course, he could always knock, but he was in a hurry and wanted to get on with all this, without getting into a long winded conversation with someone. So quietly, he placed the letter in the box, rapped heavily on the door, and took to the sky once more, headed for the next house.

Once opened, the letter reads:

Quote:
Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to invite you to a small get together at Aileen Shiroko's home, 12 Elton Avenue. Please come as quickly as you can.

Thank you,

Chaco

Yes, it was vague, but he could barely write, let alone figure out what to say on paper!

The Beginning

Chaco paced back and forth in front of Aylee's mansion... thing... impatiently. His mother wasn't here at the moment, but that annoying Fox was, as was Aylee's twin. And a bunch of other people Chaco didn't really care about, to say the least. He understood why the mansion was needed, but...

Anyway! The people he had sent notes to should be here already! He'd done a random search, and come up with five people to become protectors of the five new Sin'aeis. But what was taking them so long?! He'd only dropped off the letters an hour ago!

Sighing, he sat on the steps, and waited impatiently for the five to show up.
-------------------------------------
Kiita held the letter in her hands as she looked for the right home. She tried to remember if she had ever met a Chaco...or Aileen Shiroko. She couldn't recall it, if she had. She wouldn't forget that easy, would she? 'Please come as quickly as you can,' it said. Was something the matter? Did she do something? As she continued looking at the numbers on the houses, she pondered why she was invited in the first place. She stopped at a...mansion? Was this right? Brow furrowing a little, she looked around. Well, this was the place she assumed. Kiita awkwardly walked up to the front.
-------------------------------------
Lividie was staring at the note as she raced down the streets towards the house she was told to go too. She crumpled it up as she reached a fork in the road. Lividie's white skin was adorned in elegant golden clothing, and a bag hung loosely by her side, which was what she placed the note inside of. Yellow eyes scanned both ways. "Where now? What way? Need direction."

She was now completely and utterly lost. Her eyes darted both ways, furred batlike ears taking in all sounds. Deciding to take a chance, Lividie started making her way up the path that was to her right. Fortunately, she managed to somehow walk down a few more paths and then see a mansion. Lividie, caring not for doors, clambered through an open window, landing on the floor with a grunt.

She quickly stood up and dusted herself off. "Hello? Aileen Shiroko?"
-------------------------------------
Chaco eyed the girl who had just shown herself rather wearily. Well, at least someone had shown up. Sighing slightly, the Sin'aeis stood from his perch on the porch, his wings rustling slightly, "I'm Chaco, can I ask yer name?"

This girl... She'd actually be perfect for one of the children he had just bound. Yes, indeed!

Kunny, on the other hand, heard a loud noise from one of the rooms on the bottom floor. He raised an eyebrow, at it, and went to investigate. When he opened the door to the empty room, he stared in confusion at the girl who was now standing in the middle of the floor, "Er... Hi?"

Ooookay. Weird person now in his and his sister's home. She didn't look like an assassin, and he knew anyone there to kill them probably wouldn't have made that much noise.
-------------------------------------
"Oh, so you're Chaco." Kiita replied with a smile, "I'm Kiita, and I...got your letter just maybe an hour or more ago." She rubbed the back of her neck with her left hand nervously, "Is there uh, something wro-" She stopped there. She'd know sooner or later, so she decided to ask another question, "Have we met before? 'Cause I don't remember if we have...I was just wondering..." She said.
-------------------------------------
Lividie stared at the person who made their way into the room and smiled sheepishly. "Um, hello. I," She paused for a moment. "I got note from one named Chaco. This Aileen Shiroko's house?"

She flicked back part of the red hair covering her face, and looked at his expression. Maybe she had made too much noise, maybe it was because people weren't supposed to climb through windows, or it might have been because of her appearance. "What wrong?" She asked curiosuly. Her speech was flawed with grammatical erros, and her vocabulary wasn't all that large either.

-------------------------------------
Chaco grinned at the girl, "Nope, never met you before in my life!" He laughed slightly, "It's amazing what you can do with a phone book. The wonderful things list lots of numbers and all that..." Alright, probabl a bad start... But whatever! "I want to ask a favor of you... Is that alright?"

Kunny blinked at the girl a few more times before sighing, "I see. So Chocolate boy finally decided to get rid of those pests, then, did he?" Finally he nodded, "Yes, this is 'Aileen's' house, though I call her Channa. Makes things easier." He held the door open for her, "If you'll follow me, I'll bring you to Chaco."
-------------------------------------
Kiita seemed to relax a little more. She didn't want to seem rude by forgetting him if they had met before. "That's good." She blinked, "My number is in the phone book?" She asked, but before she could get an answer, she was surprised by what he asked next, "A favor?" She paused, "Well, it depends what kind of favor it is..." She replied, very confused by most of this.
-------------------------------------
Lividie followed silently, and quickly stopped before the door frame. She scanned the room, but nothing interested her. But she was sure that in a large place like this there'd be plenty of things that she'd die to get her hands on. Lividie had to bob her head down in order to make it out the door. She quickly took one more look before closing the door behind her.

"Good. Thought I lost." She scratched the back of her head. That sentence didn't sound worded right, but Lividie hoped it understand it. "Oh! I got lost. Hehe!" Her eyes caught something on a table that they walked by. She quickly grabbed a watch, tucking it in the back of her skirt. She knew males; they'd never dare look for something there.

-------------------------------------
Kunny stopped in the entryway, looked back at the girl, and held out his hand, "Can I have the watch back, please?" Okay, so this girl was a thief. How did Chaco choose protectors for the other Sin'aeis, anyway? Good greif!

Chaco grinned wickedly, "It's nothing bad, I promise. Follow me, please." With that, he opened the door to the mansion and stepped inside. The first thing he noticed was Kunny and some other girl, "Hoi Uncle Kunny. Who's she?"

Kunny shook his head, "One of those so called protectors you called here, it seems." He looked back at the girl, "This kid is Chaco."
-------------------------------------
"Prove I have it!" She didn't look guilty in the least, and no amusement flickered over her either. She knew how to keep an honest face after she stole things and she was figured out. And with the watch where it was, she doubted he'd come and take it.

When the door open, she stared down at Chaco and waved. "Chaco? Hi!" She wondered why she was called here. Okay, so she was going to be the protector of something? What would it be?
-------------------------------------
Kunny narrowed his eyes at the girl. He wanted her to prove it? God, did he need to start installing video cameras, now? Finally after about half a second of thought, he moved over towards her and pulled the watch out from where it had been tucked into her skirt. Grinning, he placed it in his pocket, "You're not going to get away with anything around here, trust me, missy."

Chaco looked back and forth between the two girls, "Er... Right... I'll explain everything in the livingroom. Follow me, thanks." With that, he pushed open a door on their right, and beckoned them into a large, heavily decorated room. "Sit anywhere you like."

Kunny watched them for a second, then decided to follow. He didn't want anything else being stolen around here.

-------------------------------------
Kiita was certainly impressed by how big it was. Well, duh of course it's big, it was a mansion, she thought to herself. She let out a soft, "Whoa," as Chaco opened the door on their right. The room was really nice. Kiita took a seat on the couch, gaze going everywhere, looking at the different decorations. She wondered if every room was like this.
-------------------------------------
Lividie stood dumbfounded for a moment, then screamed at the top of her lungs. "PERVERT!" She never really expected him to take it from where it was. She quickly thrust a kick at him, though she did expect him to dodge it. "I get away, I show you!"

She crossed her arms and followed Chaco into the living room. She turned her head, narrowing her eyes at Kunny. Lividie sat on a couch, and stretched her legs over it, the lower half of her back against the end. Her ears flicked back, and she gave Kunny a murderous expression before turning her attention to Chaco.

-------------------------------------
Chaco nodded at them as they sat. He'd completely ignored the new girl's outburst towards his uncle. He was used to it, in a way. "First of all, can I ask both of your names? Uhm... It'd be easier, and all. I won't feel like I'm talking to complete strangers and all that stuff... er..."

Kunny was about to enter the room after them, when he heard someone speak behind him, "Well, that's not something you hear everyday." The assassin turned to look at Aylee's Kitsune Fa'e, Solo. After a second, Kunny said, "Huh?"

"Of course, considering the way you act around Pryderi, I'm not surprised people think you're a pervert."

Kunny narrowed his eyes, "Not your business, brat." With that he shook his head and moved into the livingroom after the other three.
-------------------------------------
Rayne landed on the grounds before Aylee's place and stretched out. She smiled as she walked forward looking around. What a nice place. Yukito gazed around a bit but didnt seem as interested in the scenery as he was in the taste of gnawing on the strap of the diaper bag.

She gave him a smiled then started for the front door wondering about the little ones and what they looks like after meeting Chaco who had cute little wings and seeing Yukito's tail.
-------------------------------------
"Kiita." She replied, still pondering the information she got earlier. Protectors, eh? Kiita wondered why she was even chosen for something like that. She wasn't strong...she was actually the weak type. She was often told she even had a sponge heart too. All she wanted to know was what she was here for.

-------------------------------------
Lividie quickly and quietly said her name, sot that Kunny wouldn't hear it. "Lividie, my name." Whilst he was also not in the room, Lividie grabbed something off an end table beside her just to spite him. She wasn't all that concerned with what it was, just providing she could steal it without him noticing. She placed whatever it was in her bag.

Lividie smiled at Chaco as Kunny entered the room. "What we protectors of, huh?"

The Beginning - Continued

Solo twitched his ears as he heard... Someone outside. Hrrrm. Another protector? God, why had whomever had done it decided to use such an awful word? Guardian was much better. Feh. Ignoring the people in the other room, he decided to handle the door.

When he opened it and spotted Rayne he said, "...Oh. Hey." For a while he stood there dumbly, the moved aside, "You're probably here from that idiot Chaco. He's in the room on the right..."

Chaco nodded at both of them as they gave their names, "Kiita and Lividie. Alright." He nodded slightly again, "What I wanted to ask of you was that... Well, I'm of a race called the Sin'aeis... Uhm... And I'm also the last breeder of my kind... Uhm... I bind souls to food and all that, and er... I was kinda wondering if you'd take care of another Sin'aeis for me? One for each of you, I mean... Uhmm..." The boy was obviously bad at saying things properly.

Kunny narrowed his eyes at Lividie, and decided not to move them for the rest of the time she was here. He wasn't going to let her steal anything. Of course she had probably done so when he was snapping at Solo. He really needed to look into those security cameras...
-------------------------------------
Her ears turned forward and she smiled, "Hello Solo. Yeah Chaco left me a note looking to see if I wanted to be of help with the goings on today since Ive got a little Sin'aeis of my own to watch over." She said walking forward quickly inside. She stretched out her wings then folded them to her back, "Wow. This is a nice place." She murmured. It made her place look small. She thought as she drifted towards where Solo had told her to go.

There were a lot of people standing around and at the center of it was Chaco explaining things to the best of his ability. She smiled and gave him a wave. Yukito's eyes landed on the other Sin'aeis child and he started to croon happily at him.
-------------------------------------
"Food?!" Lividie exclaimed. Now that was something very strange. She'd heard of soul bindings before too, but they were never described as 'breeding', and were often just tying it to an object. She then got back to the question at hand. "Sure. I would take care of."

Lividie's gaze turned to Kunny. She quickly allowed a smirk in any brief second that he might turn his head, or blink.
-------------------------------------
Bind souls to food...er, okay. Sounded a little weird, but she got the picture. "Well,...sure." Kiita replied. How would Kaji and Maya take to having another in the family? Well, she'd find out soon enough. "So, that's what you mean by protector. I think I could handle it." She added, nodding. Hearing a croon, she looked back to see Rayne and a baby.
-------------------------------------
"Thank you both, I--" Chaco spotted Rayne rather quickly. Unknowingly, he had actually been glancing at the door every few seconds, hoping that she would soon show up. He gave her a broad grin when she appeared, "Ahh! Rayne!" He quickly ran forward to her and pulled her further into the room, then turned to face the other two, "Uhm... This woman is Rayne, I entristed her wi--"

"Entrusted..." interrupted Solo from the doorway, his tails moving back and forth.

Chaco shot the boy a glare, "Entrusted her with one of the Sin'aeis. Errr... What'd you name him, eh?"
-------------------------------------
Rayne blinked as she was pulled forward and put as the center of attention, "Ahh. We ended up deciding on Yukito." She said looking down at the little one who was now making grabby hands at Chaco obviously happy to see the other boy again.

She looked over at the two others and waved, "So are they getting little ones to watch over as well?"
-------------------------------------
"It okay," Lividie said with a smile. She looked over at Rayne and Yukito, whom Chaco seemed so excited about. Lividie gave a small wave then looked over at the kitsune in the door. A fox person with two tails and one wing? Seemed rather odd to her. And if he seemed annoyed at a mispronunciation of a word, then he'd definately get frustrated over her speech.

"Good, keeper! How are baby?" She asked. Lividie expected a response with what they were like, but she hadn't the realisation of what she'd probably get in response. She responded to her question. "Yes, Chaco said."
-------------------------------------
"Nice to meet you Rayne and Yukito." Kiita greeted as soon as she caught the little boy's name. She gave her a smile, then looked down at Yukito, "He's adorable!" She complimented...and he didn't look like food at all!
-------------------------------------
"Yukito, eh..." Chaco murmured, and then reached out and took the child into his arms, "Well, he's looking happy. He nodded at Rayne's question, then looked back towards the other two women, "We Sin'aeis are children born in this world from another. At my birth I was entrusted with the souls of the people of my kingdom, as it was soon to be destroyed." He held Yukito close, "I was then sent here to bring the people back in this realm. I bring them forth into this world by binding their souls to foods." Wow this was getting really longwinded. Solo was giving him looks, now. "Uhmmm... Food is chosen because it is organic. I need to bind it to something that was once living, so... Uhm..." After a second, he looked around and then handed Yukito back to Rayne, "Be right back!"

With that, Chaco rushed out of the room for a moment. He returned a few minutes later carrying to sleeping children in his arms. He moved over towards the two women and handed the baby Sin'aeis to them, "These are Tomato and Cinnamon Bun... Uhm... You can name them what you want and stuff... Uhm..." He looked over at Rayne, "Uhm... Did I leave anything out?"
-------------------------------------
She smiled and shook her head, "Nope. You did very well." She assured the boy not thinking that there was anything that he had told her that he had missed with them.

Yukito looked over at the other two his eyes going quite wide as he took in two more of their kind. His long tail lashed back and forth in an excited manner and he started to croon at them.
-------------------------------------
Kiita nodded, letting them know she was understanding now. She watched as Chaco left the room quickly, then returned with two babies. Accepting the baby he handed her, she cradled it and looked down, studying...her? So, a cinnamon bun. Kiita smiled, "Shes cute." She said, then noticed something on her forehead...

The bald baby blinked her all of eyes open to find Kiita staring down at her. That's all she did was blink. Then she heard a croon from Yukito. Her brown swirly gaze went to him and looked at him curiously, watching his tail lash. That caught her interest.

"She's got a third eye?" Kiita asked, looking to Chaco. "Are there like, different races...types...species?" She couldn't find the right word.
-------------------------------------
Lividie nodded through, but she wasn't exactly paying attention. When he returned and gave her the tomato sin'aeis, her gaze turned to the baby. She smiled and looked over him. Green eyes, red hair, long split ears and pink skin. Seemed only natural for one based off a tomato. She pulled the green blanket back slightly, startled to see the wings. Here she grew curious, but decided not to comment on them.

"Aard," Lividie stated. "Name is Aard. Aard, like name?" She asked, chickling Aard under the chin. The sin'aeis moved his head back a bit, but allowed her to do this. "You cute! Yes you are."

Aard turned his head to the crooning baby. All he did was open his mouth, but no sounds came out.
-------------------------------------
Chaco nodded at Rayne, "That's good. I was worried I'd miss something..."

"You need to learn not to say 'Uhm' so much, though," said Solo. Chaco shot him another glare and the kitsune smirked at him, twin tails swishing from side to side.

Chaco needed to learn to just ignore Solo. Grumbling slightly, he turned back towards the two new protectors and flattened his wings against his back, "Uhm... Well, each Sin'aeis has different features and stuff like that... Uhm... Like the shape of my ears, and my wings... Uhm... Cinni's features are her eye and those weird marking on her body... Uhm..." He looked over at Tomato, "And his are his wings and the shape of his ears... Sometimes there are more features than two, but not usually... Uhm..." He paused as the girl mentioned his name, "Aard, hmmm? Tis better than having been named after a video game character, at any rate..."

As soon as he had said this, he heard snrrks come from both Kunny and Solo. Apparantly they were both used to his mother's weird whims, and unfortunately for him, they found it funny.
-------------------------------------
Yukito calmed a bit looking at first the three eyed girl child over to the one with the wings then back again. Then started to gnaw on his hand as he listened to Chaco's voice. He was half paying attention and didnt really understand it as he was to young but it as the sound of the voice that was making him rather content. Like when he listened to Rayne, Sakura, or one of the others talking.

"Ive heard the name Solo in a video game too." Rayne said tilting her ears forward as she thought on it, "Was the name of a shaman from Breath of Fire." She doubted it was wear the foxen got his name but she was just trying to help Chaco as he was a little cutie.
-------------------------------------
"Hmm...Anisia. It means 'complete' in Greek." Kiita said. After all, she had more than a complete set of eyes, right? Though that wasn't the only reason why she decided on that name. She too, moved the blanket around to get a look at the markings on Anisia's body. Kiita gave Anisia a smile, stroking her cheek a little. She was growing fonder of the little Sin'aeis by the minute.

Anisia grabbed at Kiita's fingers as she stroked her cheek. Her grip was pretty firm.

Kiita chuckled, "Kaji and Maya will like you." She said to the baby.

The cinnamon bun girl had her attention on Yukito's tail again.
...How fun it would be to pull it.
-------------------------------------
"Video game? Chaco, Solo, shaman fire?" Lividie asked. She had a television, but she never used it. She'd bought it for kicks, and had definately never bought a console for it. Nor did she have a computer. "But I think yes, Aard nice name, huh?"

Lividie stared at the door. "I think I go now. Can go?" She asked. She shot a glance at all others that were in the room. "Or have to stay for something?"
-------------------------------------
Solo shot Rayne a glare, "I don't think that's where I got my name... Aylee didn't name me, after all." His guardian was such a pain in the neck. He wished Mizukori was still looking after him; maybe then he'd live a NORMAL life for once...

Chaco nodded at Lividie, "You may go. Thank you for accepting the task." He turned his attention quickly back to Kiita, "Anisia, eh? It's nice." And if fit, too, if you thought about it. The breeder twitched his wings slightly. Even though the house was big, he didn't like being cooped up inside so long. He was always afraid he'd knock something over if he unfolded his wings...
-------------------------------------
"One would hope not. It wasnt the best character to be named after." She said then looked over at the other Sin'aeis protectors, "If you two ever want to have the little ones play together let me know. If you dont let them be social they end up as friendly as Solo." She said giving the Foxen a teasing smile and a laugh.
-------------------------------------
"Thanks." Kiita smiled, then looked to Lividie, "Yeah, I best be going as well. Kaji and Maya, more adopted children, will be wondering where I am." She bid everyone good bye then set off toward the door with Anisia in her arms.

Quote:
Dear Diary,

I got a letter saying I needed to go to Aileen Shiroko's home as quickly as I could. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong or if I did anything in fact, and couldn't recognize the names on the letter. The home ended up being a mansion...and I was sure I had the wrong house.

But I didn't. Another girl was invited as well. We were chosen (by phonebook?) to protect Sin'aeis, what Anisia is.

Anisia. Her name means 'complete' in Greek. After all, she has more than a complete set of eyes. Yes, I mean more than two. She has one on her forehead. The little darling is beautiful though. Her eyes are brown swirls, and she has various markings on her body. Her soul was bound to a cinnamon bun by Chaco, the guy who sent me the letter and the guy who first put her in my arms. She doesn't have hair at the moment like the other baby did, but that's okay.

I also ended up meeting Rayne and her Sin, Yukito. We planned to have a playdate maybe today or later this week. I also need to take Anisia shopping for food and toys for her.

Well, it's been a pretty big night.

Playdate with Yukito

Rayne lifted her head to tilt it towards the warm sun as Yukito was doing. Her ears twitched back and forth then she looked down at the baby again not understanding the fun that came with sitting as he was. The little dragon was making a happy crooning sound and his tail was flicking to and fro.

"Must be taking in the sun again huh love?" She asked over him. He peeked open a red eye to look over at her before it sank closed once more, "The sun more amusing then your boring old protector?"

She looked down at her watch then looked towards the path that lead to their home. She had received a note a couple days back about Kitta and Anisia coming over for a visit. She wondered if they would be arriving soon? She was sure that Yukito would enjoy it he had been interested in the little girl when he had seen her first at Aylee's place but had been unable to get close enough to her to lack on as he had done with Aard.

She stretched out then turned back to Yukito who had finally looked away from the sun to watch a butterfly that was fluttering about his head. He reached his hands up giggling. Rayne's eyes went wide as he caught hold of the bug and popped it in his mouth.

"Yukito!"
-------------------------------------
Kiita followed the same familiar path toward Rayne's and Yukito's house, having taken the same path when they went to drop off Yukito's flower for his quest. She was having a little trouble walking, for Anisia was grabbing at whatever her little hands could get to.

Kiita's glasses, her pendant, her hair. It was all so interesting to Anisia. What was this? What did this do? She continued reaching for random items on her protector.

"Anisia, please..." Kiita said, adjusting her glasses once more. She reached into her bag and took out a yellow dragon plushie, placing it on Anisia's stomach for easy access. This seemed to distract the little girl easily. Kiita sighed with relief as she Rayne and Yukito came into view. She threw her hand up in the air and waved, "Hi!" She greeted happily.
-------------------------------------
Rayne gave up trying to get the bug away as it seemed that Yukito had locked his jaws shut and was flailing his arms not wanting to let go of the thing that he had caught. The foxfaire turned her ears first then the rest of her and gave a wave, "Hi!" She said rising to her feet off the blanket that she was sitting on and Yukito sat next to, it seemed he would rather be in the dirt then on the blanket being clean.

She waved for them to come over and join her and Yukito in the sun. Left be for a moment the dragon pup quickly chewed up his butterfly and swallowed before letting out a crooning squeal and waved rapidly at the baby girl.
-------------------------------------
Kiita made the rest of her way over, smiling to Rayne, "How're you and Yukito doin'?" She asked, her gaze moving to the little dragon boy as he squealed. She grinned, setting down Anisia down on the blanket and the yellow plushie beside her.

Anisia looked up to Kiita, then to Yukito. A cheery expression overtook the cinnamon bun girl's face, waving back to him like Kiita had often made her do to when others were around. She didn't understand why, but she did it anyway. She then took the plushie and stuck one of the wings in her mouth randomly.
------------------------
Yukito watched the three eyed girl for a moment then reached his tail forward as it was the only thing at the moment that could reach her and he did his normal greeting to new people. He wrapped his tail around her wrist and gave a crooning sound.

"We are doing well. Yukito is apparently showing me what sorts of outdoor foods he likes." She said sending a glance the way of the dragon. He seemed to understand what she was saying when he stuck his tongue out which was colored with butterfly powder.
-------------------------------------
"That's good to hear." She replied wtih a smile. "Outdoor...foods?" Kiita asked, blinking a little. "Like...berries?" She knew thats probably not what Rayne meant.

The plushie dropped from her mouth as his tail wrapped around her wrist. Anisia squealed, then started to giggle, clapping her hands together a little. She began to twirl the red end of his tail in her fingers, smiling broadly.
-------------------------------------
"I wish it were only berries." She murmured then sat back down on the blanket giving Kitta a smile, "Im Rayne Winner by the way. I dont think we were properly introduced the last time that we crossed paths. And as you might have heard that little monster over there is Yukito Winner."

Yukito tilted his head watching the hand petting his tail and gave a little giggle the end of it swishing a little as if ticklish.
-------------------------------------
Kiita took a seat on the blanket as well, pondering what Yukito could find out here that he could eat. Well, babies didn't really know better. Bugs maybe? "I'm Kiita and that's Anisia." She didn't give a last name...only because she didn't really like it. Kiita smiled, "Aw, but the little monster is cute." She complimented, laughing a little.

The swishing only made Anisia all the more curious. She had seen it doing that the other night when she first saw him. She yanked it firmly, not too hard, a little closer to get a better look at it, not knowing better about it actually being connected to Yukito's body...
-------------------------------------
Yukito let out a surprised sound and tugged back from his end trying to get his tail out of the grip of the little girl trying to protect it and himself from further tuggings.

"He has to be cute its so that when hes older he can keep out of trouble." She joked. "Its good to meet you. I dont have a lot of company here aside from those that live here. New faces are a treat."
-------------------------------------
Yukito's sound surprised her. What was wrong? As she felt the tail being tugged back, she gave it a hug before letting it go, pouting a little. Anisia began to play with her dragon plushie, holding out to Yukito to see if he'd like to play too.

Kiita smiled, "It's nice to meet you too. That's pretty much the same with us...which is why I intend to visit Aileen's mansion more often. I hope she doesn't mind us there...I just want Anisia to socialize a little more." She cast a curious glance at the babies, "Oh, by the way, how did Yukito's quest go?"
-------------------------------------
Yukito hugged on his tail for a moment to make sure that it was still in one piece then it was promptly forgotten as he looked over at the plushy creature holding a hand out to touch it. He let out a squeal at the soft feeling of it.

"It went rather well. It seems he can get energy from sitting in the sun. Course the side effect of giving him a bit of a sugar high." She said looking over at the boy, "Hes rather happy with all of the flowers that are decorating the dining room. I would like to thank you for the one that you sent to us. It was really kind of you."

Playdate with Yukito - Continued

Anisia giggled, placing the plushie inbetween them. She flapped both wings up and down, as if showing him what it could do. It even had a tail like him!

"You're most certainly welcome. Just wanting to help." Kiita replied with a smile. "Absorb energy from sitting in the sun, hm? Does it have any affects on him when the sun isn't out? Like at night?" She asked curiously.
-------------------------------------
"Im not quite sure. We havent gone out at night to test it out though maybe we should. Just so I can get a feel for what the difference between him during the day and him during the night is." She said tapping her chin.

Yukito looked rather facinated by the plushy. More so now that he saw all the extra pieces that it had, the tail being the most important thing. The doll had a tail and HE had a tail. He let out a croon and patted the plushy excitedly.
-------------------------------------
"Maybe it'll make him sleepy." Kiita suggested, then paused to realize what she said. Most people were sleepy at night anyway...after all, that's when most people slept. "Eheh. Or...maybe you should ask Chaco next time you see him."

Anisia smiled, looking down as he patted the plushie. She clapped her hands together happy he liked her dragon stuffed animal.
-------------------------------------
"Yeah asking Chaco would be the best way to get a good answer. That and a reason to go visiting. Yukito seems to enjoy listening to his voice. That and its fun to bring cookies and stuff to him as presents." She said with a smile.

Yukito smiled and clapped his hands too trying to do it the same time as her.
-------------------------------------
Anisia wiggled her toes and feet as he mimiced (sp?) her. She blinked all three eyes...then grinned. She clapped twice, curious to see if he would copy her again.

Kiita smiled, "Well, I've only conversed with Chaco once, and that was the night he asked me to care for Anisia. I don't really know about how well the two get along or anything." She paused, "Have you met any of the other protectors and their babies? I mean, besides me and Anisia?"
-------------------------------------
He was able to follow the toes, the blinking of eyes though he gave pause for a long moment on that one as if trying to blink three eyes of which he only had two, then clapped and giggled.

"I met Lividie and Aard and I knew Aylee from before Chaco appeared. He came by my place with Yukito who was apparently his first experimental try at binding a soul. Aside from them Ive yet to meet anyone else. I hope to meet more people. Would be good for Yukito to be more social then I am."
-------------------------------------
She giggled along with him. This time, she picked up the dragon plushie and made the two front limbs clap, she wiggled her own toes, swished the plushie's tail, then wiggled her toes again. Anisia set the plushie in front of her for Yukito to try.

"Lividie and Aard...Lividie is the one who was with us at the mansion, right?" Kiita tilted her head a little, "Aylee...is that Aileen you're referring to?" She asked curiously.
-------------------------------------
"Aileen? Not sure could be. That might be her actual name. Maybe Aylee is a nickname?" She murmured then laughed here ears twitching a little, "Dont know exactly."

Yukito picked up the dragon plushy then forgot what it was that they were playing when he looked it over and let out a loud squeal to get Rayne's attention. She looked over at him and he shook the thing towards her, "Its very cute Yukito."

He tilted his head then shook it again.

"Do you want a stuff animal?" She asked. One of the many things that she had yet to get for him. She gave a laugh then nodded, "Ok. But you will have to give that one back."

He looked a little reluctant then handed it back to Anisia.
-------------------------------------
"Maybe. Is Aylee the owner of the mansion?" Kiita asked curiously. Her attention went to Yukito as he squealed. She giggled. "Oh...I got that one from a place called Xaecorus Dragons MiniShop, in case you ever wanted to swing by and pick him up one there." She said with a smile.

Anisia watched as he shook her dragon plushie, then hugged it momentarily after he handed it back. She smiled to Yukito, then started to tickle him with the tuft at the end of it's tail like Kiita did to her often.
-------------------------------------
The dragon pup gave a giggle at the tickling and started to tickle back using his own tail which would have more reach then his hands would.

Rayne nodded, "I will have to check into that place. They seem to be rather cute little plushies." She said after a long moment of watching the little ones play then turned back to Kiita.
-------------------------------------
Anisia laughed, smiling cheerfully. She resumed tickling him with the plushie's tail.

Kiita frowned a little, "I'm sorry for the short playdate...I hoped it wouldn't be this short, but I'm afraid I have to take Anisia home."

Anisia managed to hug Yukito's tail one last time before being picked up by Kiita. Immedietely she started to sob a little.

"Aw, we'll see them again, Anisia, don't worry." Kiita gave Yukito a small wave, then turned to Rayne, "It was nice meeting you again. See you later!" With that she headed down the path.
-------------------------------------
Rayne waved to them and Yukito watched them go with huge red eyes looking almost as if he were about to cry over the loss of his friend but then tried to sniffle it back.

"They will come again Im sure." She told Yukito scooping him up then got to her feet picking up their blanket, "Come on. Lets go get you a bath. You look more like a chocolate dragon then a white chocolate one with all that dirt on you."

With that the two headed into the house.

Abilities Quest!
"At some point in the next week, take Anisia outside and have her pick ten different flowers of complementary colors. Place them into a vase and set it somewhere in your house. The flowers can be of any type."
-------------------------------------

Through the forest and down a few dirt trails was an open meadow. It was three hours after noon, the sun still out. The weather was nice enough to take Anisia out and get her flowers picked out. "Alright. Which ones do you like, Ani?" Kiita asked as she reached the middle of the meadow.

Anisia was set down in the grass. By her side was a blue flower, a strange small tunnel coming from the center. The flower drooped slightly, but the little baby curiously examined it. She plucked it from it's place and grinned, waving it around a little.

"Nice choice." Kiita said, removing it from the baby's grip. She placed it in the basket they had brought along with them.

In the distance, two big, orange flowers caught Anisia's eyes. Not able to walk yet, she sat in place and reached both hands toward them even though they were a small distance away. Not able to reach them, she frowned, close to tears.

Looking to where she was trying to reach, Kiita walked over to the two and picked them. On her way back, she tickled Anisia's cheeks with them and set them down in the basket. "Seven more." She said with a smile.

Anisia giggled as she was tickled, then pointed to a yellow flower.

She shook her head. "Aw, sorry sweetie. We can only have orange and blue flowers. Like these." Kiita said, bringing the basket toward the baby and showing her the ones she picked.

A few minutes passed. Anisia had chosen two blue flowers with various amount of petals and an orange flower that resembled a dandilion.

Kiita thought she was choosing fast, but then again, the meadow was full of flowers. That made four more flowers to choose from. "A few more, and we can go home and put them in a vase." She told the three-eyed baby.

Anisia plucked two more from the ground, an orange tulip and a slightler bigger blue one that resembled a tulip. She held them out to Kiita by the end of their stems.

Two more added to the basket. Two more needed.

The baby pointed to a blue one with four petals, then began to clap her hands together a little.

Kiita smiled and nodded, standing up from her seat in the grass to retrieve it. Another added. Well, that should be it. The protector stretched a little before picking Anisia and the basket up and returning to the trails.

The baby began to squirm, wanting down. But as they neared their house, she managed to pick the a last flower from a tree above her. A blue flower with a few layers. With a grin, Anisia dropped it into the basket without Kiita noticing.

Toddler Quest!
Anisia has been extremely active as of late. In order for her to grow, she will need to surround herself with five different animals or pets, each one brown or yellowish in color.
-------------------------------------

User Image
Kiita was carrying Anisia as they made their way toward town. More pets around the house...she wondered how Lace would think of that. In order for the little baby to grow, she needed them, so they were off to find a pet store or something. Just as they walked down the sidewalk in front of the porch, Anisia let out a squeal and pointed behind Kiita. The protector turned to find some...yellow fuzz thing near the bushes. She looked to Anisia, who was now clapping happily, "Well, one down." She picked the fuzzle up and set it in a box inside the house, telling the fenthry to make sure Lace didn't get to it. Four more.

User Image
The two exited the house once more, and as soon as they came into town, there was a store to their left. In big flashy letters, the board read, 'Asher's Beastiary.' Curious, they entered the store to find...a vary large variety of creatures. Well earlier, a puppy came to mind when Kiita started thinking about what to get Anisia. The protector headed toward the canine area, and sure enough, there were puppies. White ones, black ones, red ones, yellow ones, gray ones...but Kiita found Anisia's eyes on a brown puppy with various dark markings sleeping near the middle of a pen. She grinned, "Alright, alright." Kiita motioned for a nearby worker and pointed to the pup. The male pup was carried to the front, where he would be saved until they were done.

User Image
A bird-like call filled the air as a sandy griffin kit shot up toward the ceiling, employees below the creature as they attempted to recapture her. Anisia's brown swirly eyes brightened as she spotted the griffin kit, and a broad grin came to her face. She looked back down to Kiita and pointed up. Getting the message, Kiita made her way back up to the cashier and asked once the griffin was caught, if they could purchase her.

User Image
After bringing the griffin kit and hyena pup home, Kiita and Anisia set off again to find two more animals needed for the three-eyed baby's toddler quest. Coming down a cobblestone path, a winged animal came from the forest to cross over the path and stopped as soon as it spotted Kiita and Anisia. The creeto cautiously approached the two and hovered next to them, sniffing at the baby curiously. What strange behavior from an animal, Kiita thought to herself. Anisia seemed to like her though. The creature followed the two home.

Kiita set Anisia down on the floor, where all her new pets could play with her. The yellow fuzzle perched onto the baby's shoulder, the hyena puppy cuddled in her lap, the creeto sat beside her. But the griffin kit...she let out a very loud, angry squawk, not liking the idea of sharing the baby with the others.

Maya screamed from upstairs, quickly making her way down to the living room and finding a hiding place. Kaji perked up from his place on the couch. He cast a curious glance at Kiita before going to find his sister.

Kiita swiftly made her way upstairs...only to find something at the end of the hallway. He was poking his head into each room until finally realizing someone was watching him. He looked to Kiita and the protector could have sworn she saw him grin...

"Kiita! Maya said she saw..." Kaji stopped as he looked at the creature.

"A dragon." Kiita finished for him, standing a few feet away from the dragon in front of the stairs.

Hello. He greeted, tail beginning to slash, I hear Anisia is on a quest...He said telepathically. Kiita just stared.

Anisia has grown!
She is now a wonderful little toddler. She now has hair! Isn't it a miracle? It's a light brown color with a large tuff of yellow in the bangs. There also appear to be yellow streaks in her hair, but they only seem to be on the left side. How odd. Her eyes seem to have lost their swirly pattern, but she seems much more alert now.
-------------------------------------

Kiita just stared. There was a dragon. In her hallway. Upstairs. Talking to her inside her head. Her brow furrowed in confusion, wondering how in the world he knew Anisia. The protector opened her mouth to ask, but before she could, she was interrupted.

"Kiita! Kiita!" Maya fluttered up the stairs, but stopped to peek around the wall of the stairs, remembering the dragon. "It's Ani! Ani grew! Yes she did!" She nodded, glancing nervously at the dragon again before sliding down the railing of the stairs.

Man, were there a lot of things going on! Forgetting about the dragon, Kaji followed after his blue sister, flying behind her.

Kiita just looked to the dragon once more. She'd deal with him later. She headed downstairs to the living room where she found a three-eyed toddler...WITH HAIR! She gaped, looking at her Sin, "Anisia?!" She sat on her feet in front of the toddler, studying her. "You grew!" She leaned forward and embraced Anisia. "Look at you! You're hair is so pretty. Your markings...look at them!" She couldn't believe it.

Anisia just blinked all three of her eyes, staring at Kiita as if she were crazy. She blinked as her protector hugged her. She did feel...different. Her brown gaze, no longer swirly, lingered over to the dragon's head as he looked down the stairs to take a peek. A smile came to her face as she laughed, pointing at the dragon.

"Lacey did good. Yupyup. She found a skirt to give Ani for her to wear in your room." Maya nodded from the arm of the couch, patting Lace on the head as the kylandrei went over to the fenthry to sit beside.

Kiita wasn't really listening to Maya. She was just observing the toddler in front of her. She found her hand tracing Anisia's hair, her thumb coming to the mark on her cheek. She started to wonder how much longer it would be until she was fully grown. It'd take a while. She'd enjoy every moment of it.

The creeto took the hyena puppy by the scruff and went to find a place to sleep. The fluffle chose a spot on the couch. But the griffin kit let out another loud squawk. Anisia looked at her, reaching out to stroke the top of her head. The kit pushed into her hand and rubbed momentarily before shooting up into the air and flying off to find the highest place in the house to rest...which would be upstairs somewhere.

The dragon, however, crawled down the stairs and, with a slight glance at Kiita first, curled around the toddler, so Ani was comfortable placed inbetween his tail and head.

Kiita still couldn't understand the dragon...but he seemed harmless. Seemed so, anyway. The dragon reminded her of the others...they'd have to have names eventually. Sighing a little, she took the remote and turned on the TV to cartoons. It immedietely drew everyone in the room's attention.

Quote:
Dear Diary,

A LOT has happened. I can't believe I forgot to write about it all. Anyway, Anisia, has two friends so far...Aard and Yukito, each has had a playdate with Ani. She seems to really like them. Aard is Lividie's boy, and Yukito is Rayne's kid. She really gets along with them well.

A while ago, Anisia had her first quest. An ability quest. We had fun picking the flowers for it. Today, we just completed her toddler quest. We had to have five animals or pets in the colors brown or yellow. We haven't named them all yet, but there ended up being a fluffy thing, a griffin kit, a hyena pup, a creeto thing, and a dragon. Now that thing scared me. A DRAGON. In my hallway. He could talk telepathically to me. I haven't found out his name yet. I didn't ask. He knew Anisia's name...that was weird. I have to ask him about a lot of things.

Anyway, ANISIA GREW! She grew! And she has hair! Beautiful hair, might I add. She's got yellow bangs, light brown hair with yellow highlights. Her hair goes down to the back of her neck. The markings she has are now clearly visible. They're so neat!

That's all for now, I guess. I must write in this more often. heh.

Kiita yawned and stretched as she walked down the hall to see who was awake. She automatically scowled as she brushed the yellow fluff thing off her shoulder and quickly moved to the side when two of the canine-like creatures bounded past her, playing. Jeez, since when is everyone so hyper this early in the morning? With a sigh, she moved toward the living room to find Anisia on the floor with the dragon.

The three-eyed girl was sitting indian-style across from the dragon in the middle of the living room, simply staring at him. As Kiita appeared, her gaze shifted to her protector. "His is name Xor." She said, then smiled.

Kiita looked at her questioningly. "That's an odd-" She paused when Xor looked at her. "I suppose he told you." She said, making her way across the room to sit on the couch.

Anisia let out a long sigh, her expression changing from a morning cheerfulness to a disappointed one. "No. Can't hear him like 'veryone else can in their heads. Ally told me." She stood up and walked over to the couch to sit beside Kiita, "Can you?"

Kiita nodded, "Yeah, I can. Unfortunately."

Ally walked into the doorway, then began to blink confusedly at the dragon, "What do you mean?" She asked, her nose wrinkling a little as Xor's gaze met hers. "Kii is nice." She said firmly, fluttering her blue wings and walking away to raid the kitchen cabinets to find the cereal boxes.

Xor simply whipped his tail back and forth in amusement.

Kiita watched this exchange and let out a sigh, a little glad she didn't hear what was said between the two. With one last look to Anisia, she stood up and walked toward the kitchen to help Allyria, "You're the one who told Xor about Anisia's quest." She said. It wasn't a question. "What'd he say about me?" She asked curiously.

"Kii, what does 'a**' mean?" Ally asked her, ignoring her question.

The protector stared at her, taken back by her question, "Nothing you should be saying. Right now, anyway." She managed to say, grinding her teeth. She wondered if the dragon cussed often when talking to Ally. She walked back into the living room and glared at Xor.

She wasn't sure, but she could have sworn he had a cocky grin on his face.
It went away as quickly as it came though.

Grumbling some unpleasant words herself, Kiita wandered back to the kitchen to help with breakfast.

Friends and...Flowers?

Aard had wandered around to the side of the mansion, once again tripping constantly as he went. He still wasn't use to his wings, nor could he use them. He found a tree trunk to lean against, flopping down. Nobody else could be seen around. Had he come alone?
-------------------------------------
Anisia simply stared at her protector, who had fallen asleep on one of the couches. An amused smile crossed her lips. The Sin then poked her in the arm, "Can I go outside?" She asked her, knowing full well Kiita would just say something around the lines of, 'Yeah sure. Lemme sleep.'

Kiita turned to face away from her, not answering as she slept.

Taking that as an answer, Ani shrugged and went to find a back door to slip out of. Once slipping out of a random door she found, she smiled as she listened to the quiet night. Then the boy caught her attention. Her brows furrowed briefly as she looked around. She thought they were the only ones here. Crossing the grass, she stopped a few feet away from the tree he leaned against. "Hi?" She greeted hesitantly.
-------------------------------------
Aard turned his head, inspecting the girl. There was something familiar about her, yet he couldn't place his finger on it. He thought for moment. Yes, he had seen her once or twice. What was her name? And he didn't feel all that shy around her, too.

"Hello.. Wh-who you?" He asked, still confused as to who she was.
-------------------------------------
Anisia crossed her arms against her chest, feeling a little odd when her hands were just laying limp by her sides. "Anisia." She replied. She studied the red-headed boy. He seemed familiar to her. Though she couldn't put a name to his face. "I can't remember your-" She paused and she considered something for a moment. "Who're you?" She asked instead. She didn't want to look foolish if they hadn't met before.
-------------------------------------
Yukito was whistling to himself as he went about the chore of listening to the flowers, hearing their demands then trying to figure out what it was that needed to be done so that they would all be happy. He and Rayne had been working at it for a while and they had only gotten a small section of it done.

Rayne was now laying off to the side watching him and being rather lazy while Yukito watered the small, contented area of plant life. He had gotten her to do as much gardening as she would for the moment so he and the flowers would have to deal with it.

He heard voices. Looking around he tried to figure out where they were from. Was it the flowers or was it others?
-------------------------------------
"Ani-sia," He repeated in a whisper. He looked at her third eye. Yes, that was right! He remember her - even if it was only a little bit of remembrance. In a reply to her question, he spoke his name, "Aard."

He looked around the garden, thinking he heard somthing, or someone. "Who-who is here?" He asked the noises.
-------------------------------------
Anisia's face held a thoughtful expression. Aard. Hm. A small smile came to her lips. She was younger when they played, so she didn't quite remember him all that well, "Er, I dunno. I thought it was just me and Kiita." She replied, looking around.
-------------------------------------
Yukito's tail started wagging as he got up abandoning the watering can to head towards the one that had called out, "Aard!" He said excitedly running over to hug him. The little white dragon Sin'aeis, coated with dirt at the moment snuggled the other boy then looked over at Anisia and moved to hug her too, "Ani!"
-------------------------------------
Aard watched her smile, then returned it. With her next line, he also gained a thoughtful espression. "Just you. And Kiita?" That was rather curious. Who was there?

Aard was, to say the least, surprised by Yukito's sudden appearance. "Yuki?" He asked, still in a slight shock. He didn't really return the hug, but he did flick his wing slightly.
-------------------------------------
Anisia nodded, "Yup." She perked up a little as a familiar voice called out to Aard. She smiled as he hugged the red-head and giggled as he came to hug her. She returned the friendly embrace, "Hi Yukito!" She greeted. She remembered him. Only because of his tail, really.
-------------------------------------
The dragon boy smiled happily at the both of them. It had been to long in his mind since he had last gotten to see these two, "Good to see you." He told them both, "Was gardening." He explained as he looked down at him self and saw all of the dirt.

Then he flushed seeing he had gotten some on them.
-------------------------------------
Aard looked down at himself as Yukito noticed the dirt, brushing his hand over it. It only spread across his body and clothes. Using the tree for support, he hauled himself into an upright standing position. He once again attempted to brush off the dirst, this time succeeding. With a triumphant expression, Aard made his way closer to the other two.

"To see you good, too. Gardening, fun?" He asked. Yukito seemed to lvoe doing it.
-------------------------------------
Anisia simply brushed the dirt away off her skin...since she didn't exactly wear a shirt. Kiita would probably demand to give her a bath later once she found out she was outside anyway. "Nice to see you again too." She said, giving another smile to each of them.
-------------------------------------
He nodded happily, "Gardening is very fun. But the plants are so demanding." He said as he glanced over at the garden, "Sorry about the dirt. Wasnt thinking." He murmured. He had just been so excited to see them. Hug first ask questions later.

He held a hand out to Aard in case he wanted the help since he had seen how the wings unbalanced him.
-------------------------------------
"Fun. Want to.. have fun?" He asked the two, smiling. He wanted to try out gardening, even if the plants were demanding. Aard didn't mind. It wasn't like he could hear them.

Aard seemed to ignore the hand, instead half-crawling towards the nearest garden bed.
-------------------------------------
Anisia tilted her head a little, making her yellow bangs waver a bit. Plants were demanding? "They are?" She asked curiously, wondering how plants were demanding...could they talk? Another thing she couldn't hear, like how she couldn't hear Xor? "That's okay." She said as he apologized about the dirt. Ani watched as Aard crawled toward some plants and, with a look to Yukito, followed the red-headed boy.
-------------------------------------
Yukito looked at him then started forward, "Come play Ani?" He asked as he went to sit down next to the plants and waited for them. He wanted to play with them and if they played in the gardens that was at least something he knew.
-------------------------------------
Aard cupped a red flower in his hands. It was beautiful! Wishing to keep it, eyt not sure how to get it out, he thought for a moment. Unfortunately not knowing that it was the wrong thing to do, Aard started to tug on the stem. Eventually, it all came out. He smiled, holding it to his chest. "Pretty!"
-------------------------------------
Still pondering and fiddling with the thought of plants being demanding, she sat next to her two friends and watched as Aard picked out a red flower. Anisia smiled, "Kiita an' me picked flowers before." She said, "But she only let me pick the blue and orange ones." She added, a little disappointed since she really liked yellow ones. Yellow anything, actually.

Friends and...Flowers? - Continued

Yukito looked over at Aard, "That is one want to do it. I normall dig around then with my hands." He said showing him as he dug up a purple flower and moved it to sit in a pot for a moment. It wanted more sun and less sunflowers. Apparently it didnt get along with with tall flowers.
-------------------------------------
The red-head watched Yukito's demonstration. Aard took the flower from his chest, looking at the soil then the red flower. There was no way he was going to replant the flower he held, he wanted to keep it! "Do I have to put back?" He asked, pouting slightly.
-------------------------------------
Anisia watched as Yukito dug around the flower. That wasn't how she picked her flowers. She picked them by the stem. "Would flowers be mad at me if I didn't pick them like that?" She asked curiously, thinking about the blue and orange flowers in the vase at home. They were picked by the stem, without their roots or anything.
-------------------------------------
He nodded, "They are a bit of a demanding bunch." He said to Anisia, "They like best to keep all of themself intact, roots included." He said then reached over to get a pot for Aard then held it out to him, "Here you can repot it in here so you can take it home. It seems rather to like you. I think its your hair."
-------------------------------------
Aard looked at the pot. He placed the flower down beside the pot, then he began digging a small hole in the soil. Figuring it was deep enough, Aard held it in place in the hole and then starting to put the soil back in around it. He patted it down, then smiled at his accomplishment. He had a flower, and it like him too!
-------------------------------------
Yukito moved over to get the water can then handed it to Aard, "Here to you go." He said so that he could add water to the soil for his flower's enjoyment.

Yukito looked over at Anisia, "Roots are how they drink." He explained.
-------------------------------------
Aard took the can, wondering for a moment what to do with it. Tipping it, he saw the water come down like rain did. Lividie had explained to him earlier that the plants needed rain when he had once complained about it raining. He let the water over the flower, unsure of how much it required. Was this too much or too little? He eyed Yukito, eyes questioning.
-------------------------------------
Anisia watched as Aard poured the water over the flower. That's how they drank. Hm. The little girl looked down at her feet, wondering what it would be like if she had to drink through her feet and toes.
...That brought an amused grin to her face, though it eventually faded into a simple smile.
-------------------------------------
Yukito smiled at Aard, "That should be enough. You will want to keep an eye on it. When the soil in its pot gets dry it will want more to drink." He said with a smile. He looked over Anisia, "Want to try potting a plant?"
-------------------------------------
Aard placed the watering can down on the ground next to him. He picked up the flower and its pot. A white form made its way towards the toddler, picking him up along with his pot. Aard looked up at Lividie, pouty, then he looked back at Yukito and Anisia. He waved and said his goodbyes.
-------------------------------------
Anisia thought for a moment. It wouldn't hurt to bring home one more flower. Maybe if she did this one right, the others wouldn't think badly of her. If they thought anything about her at all with how she picked them and everything.

After a minute, she nodded. Before she picked a flower, she waved back to Aard, "Bye!" She bid farewell before scanning the flowers in the garden again. As soon as Ani spotted a yellow flower, that was the one she went for. She got to her knees and dug around the flower. "Like this?" She asked Yukito. "How deep?" She wondered how deep she had to go in to get the roots too.
-------------------------------------
Yukito waved to Aard then walked over to her looking the flower over to see how tall it was then traced a circle around it, "This one is a pretty flower. Should dig fairly deep. Becareful not to hurt its roots. I will go get you a pot." He said as he moved over to where his things were and brought one back.
-------------------------------------
Anisia carefully began to dig near the traced line that circled the floor. Once she dug around it, she began to dig deeper, a little hesitant at first. Down, down, down her fingers went. She could feel the dirt beneath her fingers. Thinking it should be enough, she took the earth she dug around and pulled up slowly and gently. Ani placed it into the pot, then tried rubbing the dirt off her hands. "Uhm...now what?" She asked Yukito, playing with her fingers a little.
-------------------------------------
Yukito looked at it, "Add a little more dirt to its pot then some water and you should be all set. Did very good." He said praising her flower repotting skills. His tail wagged as he looked the flower over. It was a nice one, well behaved and didnt seemed to complain about being moved.
-------------------------------------
"Thanks." A proud smile crossed her lips before she added more soil to the pot until it was firmly packed. She then reached for the watering can and held it over the flower for a few moments. Looking at her work, she smiled to the flower. She sat indian style, studying the flower, "Can everyone understand flowers like you can?" She asked randomly. Something was on her mind she didn't understand.
-------------------------------------
He shrugged, "Rayne cant, Shanara cant either. Maybe the Faeling can but I never asked." He said petting the flower then glanced up at her, "Can Ani hear flower?" He asked of the other Sin'aeis curiously. What it only him that heard them?

A relieved expression replaced the concentration shown on her face. Then Anisia shook her head, "No. Can't hear flower. Or Xor." She added with disappointment. "Xor is a dragon who talks to family in their heads. I'm only one who can't hear him. Don't know why." She said with a small sigh.

After a few minutes of silence, Anisia stood. "Kiita probably looking for me. I have to leave." She gave Yukito a brief hug before picking up her pot and scurrying toward the mansion.

Yukito watched her got then looked over at one of the flowers, "I dont understand why you guys talk only me." He told one then started to gather his things up before heading over to where Rayne was dozing. He set his things down and laid down with his head on her stomach and watched the garden moving in the wind.

Anisia studied the yellow flower on the nightstand in her room. "Can't hear you like Yukito can." She said, stroking one of it's petals with a feather-like touch. She turned to find Xor on her bed, "Can't hear you either. Why? Something wrong with me." She concluded, looking down at her entwining fingers. "Can't hear anything."

Xor tilted his head as he watched her. Nothing is wrong with you.

Ally was sitting next to the brown dragon on the bed. "Says something wrong with you." She reported to Ani.

Xor poked Ally's arm with his tail. Nothing, not something. I'll find out soon what is wrong.

"Oh. I mean, he says nothin' wrong with you." Ally added quickly. "But he gonna find out soon!" She said with a small smile.

Anisia blinked, "How?" She asked the older dragon.

The dragon let out a sigh, I don't know. I'll find some way. Maybe something is blocking your mind from forming any telepathic links with another.

Ally paused, listening to Xor. "He says he don't know. Thinks something is blocking your head from something and something." She said, having trouble repeating what he said.

Xor simply gave Ally a strange look. Then began to mumble something about "young humans" as he set his head down on his paws.

Ally shrugged and began to play with her tail.

The three-eyed girl played around with this thought. Something was blocking something in her head. Maybe it was ear wax?

Shielded Self

He tried, and tried again. For some reason, there was always something that made the other end of the mind link bounce back away from Anisia's inner mind. Xor's link seemed to pass through her mind's outer barrier, but any further and it came back just as quick as a rubber ball bouncing off a wall. Ask her if she's trying to hold the link. Xor said to Ally, looking to the pink-haired child.

"He wants ta know if yur tryin' to hold the link again." Ally called rather loudly to Anisia as she skipped around the meadow and looking at the different flower buds that seemed to be blooming.

Xor let out a short sigh. Why did Ally have to be so young?

Ani crossed her arms across her chest, "I try! I can feel'em trying to get to me, but they slip outta my hands." She said, huffing a little from frustration. How many times must he ask her? And how many times would they have to do this to get it right? She plopped down on the grass. Why were his links so slippery?

You aren't trying hard enough. You're concentration isn't as good when you're frustrated. Xor said.

"Xor says you aren't tryin' hard 'nuff. Con...con..." Ally had a difficult time pronouncing the word.

Concentration.

"Consinteration is good when you're fruster-rated." Ally ended. She obviously wasn't paying too much attention. Her blue eyes were busy examining a caterpillar on a leaf.

"I'm trying!" Anisia replied, trying to keep her voice from raising to a shout.
Not hard enough.
"Not hard enough he says." Ally said.
"Yes I am!"
No you aren't.
"Nuh-uh." Ally reported again.

Anisia scowled as she crossed her legs indian style. She took a few breathes to calm herself. "Okay. How can I con-sineration right?" She asked the dragon.

Relax. Close your eyes and sit still for a moment while I try something. Xor said after leaving a few moments for the little girl to herself.

"He said to relax and close your eyes." Ally said with a smile, plopping down inbetween them to form a triangle between the three.

Xor nodded to Ally, We've talked about the outer and inner barriers as well as the Self. Tell her to open up her outer barrier.

"Xor says to open outer berry." Ally said, looking to Anisia.

Anisia blinked. "You mean the outer barrier?" She asked, looking to the brown dragon.

Xor nodded, then watched as the three-eyed girl did as she was told. He then exhaled softly, Please be silent, Ally.

The blue dragon girl nodded.

Xor closed his eyes and focused on making a mindlink connect with her outer barrier. As it successfully linked, he looked about her mind, seeing all the little things she didn't keep a secret. Occasional bubbles were here and there, though he respected her privacy and left them alone. After all, he was a guest in her mind and out. It was his first time taking a look around her mind as well instead of just sending a link out to her.

The link extended a little further, though he waited until she would open up her inner barrier. It opened, but after a quick moment, the mindlinked snapped, and Xor opened his eyes. I couldn't get a long enough look at it, though there was indeed, some sort of shield just out and around the Self. He said.

"Xor said he couldn't get a long look at it, but there'sa shield around Self." Ally said, standing up and going over to Anisia.

Anisia sighed, but seemingly shrugged it off as she and Ally stood up and began a game of chase, Anisia being the chaser. They usually played like this after spending some time with Xor.

Xor simply smiled a little as he watched them play. Only one thing in his head bothered him though.

Who placed the shield there?
