Mtima could easily see that she wasn't really getting through to the cubs, but it hardly phased her. She was not, however, impressed with the crazy comment she recieved from the darkest of the pair of cubs. She rolled her eyes and decided she would clear things up and then leave, she had no reason to stay if she didn't want to- she was, after all, doing it for their own benefit. In some small way, at least. They were seers, they might not realize it now but if they started having visions- and they probably would- it might make a little more sense.

Choosing to ignore Mezi entirely, she looked to Matojo.

"I didn't say you were wrong to call half-breeds freaks- you might call them that, though I doubt it is well appreciated. I said I personally would not call them so, pay attention. I did say you were wrong to call me half-bird, because I know exactly what my own species is and bird is not it," she explained very firmly, her voice losing it's kindness and instead going for serious, with poorly hidden annoyance. It was too easy to drop the kind tone when one was treated this way.

"I was not being vague, seers have visions of the past, present and future," she argued calmly, ignoring how she hadn't quite gotten to why she was telling them this. Mtima knew they were cubs, and had decided the simplest explanation for seers would be best. Clearly she'd been wrong. "Some have dreams, others experience trances and some even have both. There's not much more to it, except why I thought this information might interest you," she explained, and without any more hesitation (for clearly that would not do with these nasty little ones).

"You, the both of you, are seers," Mtima said finally, getting to her point and now finally looking back at the previously ignored Mezi and his nest of leaves for her, "Call me crazy, don't believe me, but I assume the pair of you are related- brothers, right? Ask your parents, it's unlikely a pair of family members would be seers without immortal blood."

Choosing to ignore the fact that he was ignored, Mezi continued making the dead leaf cushion while Mtima and his brother argued. He poked his way in the conversation a few times as he worked, though, as his interests were peaked. "We aren't the only ones who call half-breeds freaks. That's what everyone calls them." He looked quite offended at her remark and sort of glared at her. After all, the only reason he ever referred to the group as freaks was because that's what everyone else called them. It wasn't like he had made it up one day. It was hurtful, but for him, it was reality. It was simply the way things were, and Mezi excepted it. Even if he didn't like it.

Deciding he didn't want to waste any more energy on being mad at the wacked lion, he sat beside his brother and simply stared at her while she talked about visions. When she went so far as to say they were seers, though, he had had enough. Why would she cling to this fantasy as if it were reality. It couldn't be for real, right? She was simply a bonkers lion-bird who had wandered a bit too far away from her pride. Or maybe they kicked her out. He couldn't really blaim them for that, if it were the case. She had to slow them down with her craziness. "There aren't any lion-birds ... er, immortals in our family." He stated it rather plainly, an obvious note of boredom in his voice. Mleli and their aunt didn't have wings. "Mom's a leopard." He rolled his eyes as if everyone should know that and tossed a glance at his brother.

"Oh! Oh! I'm having a vision right now." Matojo sat back on his hind paws, raising a front to his face as if in shocked horror. His blue eyes widened, and when he next spoke, his voice was grave and serious.

"I forsee that the world will become black. The sky dark and the sun will shine no more. The small things will hide and things will prowl in the jungle. It'll be a time of darkness..." He couldn't help it, his lips twitched upwards in a michevious smile. Matojo couldn't help being sarcastic and childish - he was after all just an annoyed little cub. And he had weighed up the fact they'd probably be able to get away if she turned nasty. So. He smirked up at the 'immortal' and nudged Mezi.

"And us normal cats will call it 'night time'. You probably have some weird seer-goddess-y word for it. But we need to get home before then, so w'd better leave you and your delusions here. Bye bye, oh great goddess~"

"You know everyone, little one?" she asked, turning to look at Mezi when he declared freaks was the term everyone used. It clearly was not, if the goddess herself did not use it- she was someone after all! And she knew several creatures that would very likely agree with her, but there was no point arguing with the boy. She was clearly not making any difference to them. When Mezi declares there are not any immortals in their family, she smiled.

"Perhaps there are not any immortals in your family, but do you know that for sure? Your mother is a leopard, but is there no lion blood in you?" she asked curiously, eyeing the cubs up and down, "Funny looking leopards, you are- and knowledgable about half breeds.."

Mtima'safi was cut off as Matojo cut in saying he was having a vision right now, and her eyes immediately rolled as she looked over at him with a small smirk. She knew enough that it wasn't so easy to announce it while it was happening, and she let him finish his little joke at what she said. She had no intention of stopping them if they did infact turn to leave at Matojo's farewell. They would figure it out in their own time, in their own way. Not giving them a chance to mouth off again or giving them anything else to poke fun at, she turned herself around and walked off.

They'd know who was right, in the long run.

The mention of lion blood was a low blow for the little purple leopon. He glared at Mtima, but didn't say anything. Tojo had pretty muh ended it, and if he went on now he'd only seem silly. Though he wasn't going to hound Mtima about what had been said, a spark had ignited in his mind. He had never wanted to know anything at all about his father before until now. He didn't think that his dad was an 'immortal', as it did sound pretty ridiculous. What he wanted to know, though, was why Mleli had even bothered with the male, why she had brought a litter of freaks into the world? She certainly wasn't proud of her brood's species, and Mezi knew that none of his siblings were happy with their status. Why do that? And where was his father, anyway? Why didn't Mleli ever talk about him, why didn't he ever visit? Mezi wasn't really sure he particularly wanted a visit from the infamous lion, but he would like some answers.

"Psht, what would a lion know about leopards?" He couldn't hold it in any longer, but as he said it, he started to turn to leave with his brother. It was his last jibe in the conversation. His ego wouldn't let him walk away with at least one more word on the matter.
