‘Xieros.’ That name was all Loki had to hear. “She is here, she is a member of this pack.” She really didn’t want to have to tell Johnny the next part. It just wasn’t fair. “She’s been missing, though. For a long time…” With that, she moved closer to the pair once more. She would hate to be given the news, because she would have thought the worst, herself.
“We will find her, if it takes a lifetime.” Xieros was a beloved member of the pack, as far as Loki was concerned, and she felt that the mostly black wolf was like one of her own children. She could never leave one of her own behind.
“Come with me, we can talk more at my den.” She realized they were still out near the border of the territory. Things would be clearer in a more stable environment. “Do not fear or feel badly about this. We will help you, and we will find her again.” She reassured. “She is as much our family, as she is yours. We love her too.” She smiled, and led Hannah and Johnny deeper into the pack lands, planning what she would say and what they would do once they arrived.
