I'm no vampire!
One bite doesn't kill. Three + reverse bite turns, sometimes just three. To kill requires all or most of the blood to be taken, which rarely happens.
And werewolves don't kill with one bite either. If I'm correct, one bite turns.

Correction.
To turn is only one bite for either according to some stuff.
It just depends how much blood is drain to do it. Drain a certain amount and they just go into a coma basically and don't turn.
