Title: Napoleon Dynamite
Genre: ? (I'd say 'teen flick', but this goes so far beyond that shallow stereotype...)
Rated: PG
Starring: Haley Duff ( xp ), other than that, no one big... yet...
Reason why: Everything, and I reiterate, EVERYTHING, about this movie was awesome. The acting, the dialogue, the lack of plot, the small lessons to be learned every scene... True greatness in film.
I've been meaning to watch it, but I've never had the oppurtunity.

You'll either love it right away, or you'll hate it the first time and grow to love it...

Yes, going into depth on all the quotes from that movie would take quite a few pages.... just another attribute to its awesomeness.
I commend you on your self-control.

Title: Big Fish
Genre: Drama
Rated: PG-13
Starring: Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup, Jessica Lange, Danny DeVito
Reason why you like it: Well to sum it up nice and short: Tim Burton directed it.

And incase you've lived under a rock most of your life, let me list some other great movies he has directed: Sleepy Hollow, Mars Attacks, Edward Scissorhands, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman, and Batman Returns. Um yea, go watch them all! 3nodding

Title: The Fisher King
Genre: Drama/comedy/?
Rated: R
Starring: Robin Williams
Reason why you like it: ... wow. Definatly not 'family friendly', but incredibly . . . some word with a lot of meaning . . . Robin plays a psycopath who's convinced that he's a knight of God seeking the Holy Grail. His quest ends up impacting a few lives, hence the story...

this brings me to mention Terry Gilliam.. who's that you ask? GOD.. god of movie making as far as i'm concerned.. why you ask? because i'm one of "those people" that LOVES 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'!

and Terry not only wrote the screenplay, not only directed, but also acted in this awesome film! heart

oh yea, he also directed 'The Fisher King', '12 Monkeys', and 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' - all of which are, as Smith stated, not 'family friendly' but awesome movies never the less

Gilliam is indeed, the man. If you loved 'Holy Grail', check out 'Life of Brian' and 'The meaning of Life'. All excellent Monty movies. Not to mention the 'Flying Circus'...
