Mkatsi- Lady Stardust Seti Karu-San Mkatsi- Lady Stardust Kirus was aware that he was probably being watched, not only was he walking through the rain without means of protection, but he was obviously English, besides that, he was one of the only figures in the deserted streets. To be honest he had no way of knowing where he was going, he would have to find someone to help him, if not buy himself a guide. He wasnt sure how easy trade was here, if the barter and trade of humans slid so easliy in the circles he usually ran with, no matter, with enough money he found, anything was possible. Kirus was also painfully aware that he spoke not one word of the lingo here, and had no intention of learning any, so an English speaking guide would be the most useful of all. He stopped a moment and cast a glance around him, trying to get his barings now the sea sickness had mostly slipped away. The rain was grey against greyer skys, he wondered if this were the norm for this forign country, or if he had caught the weather on a bad turn. He often did. Byoux_Katou Byoux was getting curious and leaned forward a bit to be able to watch. She senced no bad people around so she dared to look. She knew she was capable of killing within less than a second. She saw the man standing there in the empty street. He looked far from the people who where usually there. "He looks lost. We should help him." She pushed Seti away lightly and slipped into her Geisha slippers. Without a look at Seti she walked into the rain, her steps where pretty quick. The rain was comming down faster and harder. Byoux's kimono was by now already soaked, as was her hair that now was plastered against her form. The young looking woman walked up to the stranger. She stopped a few meters from him. "Do you need help? Or a shelter?" She said in the best english she could. Seti was furious as he saw the violet eyed woman walk towards the stranger. Through the hard rain. She was nuts, as she always had been. He couldn't afford to leave her alone, he did not know what the stranger was capable of. Seti jumped to his feet quickly, following Byoux and moving at her side. His katana unlocked for if he needed it. But he waited, showing no sign of what he had in mind or wanted to do. His piercing eyes where fixed on the soaked english man. He understood perfectly well what Byoux asked him. They both knew alot of languages though japanese stayed the one they loved most. The samurai waited on his spot. His eyes hard and cold. He would kill this man if he tried something towards this woman. Since she was the one who gave birth to him. She looked young, she looked around 28, though she was slightly older. He himself was 18, but he looked older. He was mature at a young age already. Kirus was startled a little as a young woman walked towards him, though he did not show it, the rain seeming to cause her to look agile and her step undeniably smooth. He assumed the attire she was dressed in was something of a local delacasy, and sure enough her appearance was not unnapreciated, in this light, the yards of purple satin caused her eyes to seem violet also. The smooth english that slipped from her tounge was more of a suprise that her apperance had been, and a small smile threatened the edges of his lips, though again, he did not let it show. The apperance of an even younger male distracted him enough, the male was barley past manhood, though his demeanor seemed hardened beyond his years. Kirus looked between the two for a moment in silence, remembering himself, he plastered a pleasent smile on his features and placing a flat palm on his chest, he bowed a little. "how good of you to come out into this questionable weather to help a stranger in need- I do hope I havent disturbed you" She shook her head and smiled. "Iie...No, sir, you haven't. Would you like a shelter? It seems that you are somewhat lost, walking around this small village at this kind of wether." Byoux hadn't looked at Seti at all. She could feel her son at her side and could also feel that he was angry with her. She waited patiently for the mans reply.

How in the gods name could this woman be asking this stranger if he needed a shelter. He was almost sure of it that she would take the stranger into his house. How could she even think of that. He was boiling with anger. He was almost in a state of hitting Byoux in the face for even walking out of his house before, even daring to care for a stranger in these dark times. The handheld of the katana made a small sound under the strong grasp that it was being held with. Seti's anger was being fuelled into his grip on his katana. His face was emotionless, but his eyes where almost dark. This mostly happened when he went into battle or prepared for one. Though he knew how dangerous it was to kill an outsider without getting the gouvernment after him, he still held the strong need to kill this man if he would only stick a finger the wrong way. He stried to cool himself a bit. He would wait for the snake to shed his skin and show the real thing that was inside.

Kirus laughed as he looked up into the rain, allowing it to wash over his face for a moment, it was true, there was wet dust caking to his otherwise immaculate shoes, and his hair, although tightly pulled back had rebelled in places, coming loose and plastering itself to his face. "I suppose so" he said with real mirth "my ship has just now docked, I just wanted a taste of land. My sea legs are really very unstable I am afraid." He motioned. He could tell that the man beside them was angry, he could practiaclly feel the tension cloaking him, the rain doing nothing to douse it. He was pretty sure that this native wanted to cut both that tension and himself with the pretty blade that hung by his side. It wasnt too different to his rapier, a little more sturdy, less decorative. He smiled at both of them, bowing his head slightly. "thank you, some shelter would be most kind, at least for a while, perhaps you could help direct me in the ways of the town and towards my domicile"

It seems that it won't be over anytime soon." She then looked at Seti, before walking past him and bowing lightly to the english man, and mostly at Seti for doing this. "Dozo." She moved her grace full arm in the way of the medium japanese house they came from. "Please follow me."

Split splattering of the raindrops was heard until the steps of a running cloaked figured was heard, water splashing at her every hurried steps. She looked back how ironic and obvious of course he was the last one following her, was there even a doubt? She was panting heavily now how long has she been running, she did not know neither did she cared all she wanted to do was get away and escape at least have a night free of any guards watching her every step.
She wanted to escape it her prison, not allowed to go out of her own home just for the sake of her safety. Why you ask? She is a noble, some think she is lucky to be born on such a family but to her it was not it is a curse. Not really being able to do what ever she please people watching her every move. She had no freedom none at all. She rarely see the world outside but when ever she does inside the safety of her home. Was it really safety, or not. Trying to escape her guards and see the world outside of her window. She of course unaware of the danger and evil outside of the gates of her house. Unaware of the danger lurking in every corner of the streets. She had been sheltered thru out her life, never knowing what lies outside.
Not knowing that what people outside her world really is. What betrayal is never really witnessing death of someone before her eyes. She is innocent and curious and had always been protected by someone in any kind of harm.
Cain cursed under his breath as he chased Eshetique. She was fast who knew, every single one of his men has now fallen behind. Who knew she could run this long and fast, no one. This girl, he thought and shook his head and hurried his pace even more. He was soaking wet and he did not like it one bit.
Unaware what or who was ahead of her she looked back once again causing her to collide with a stranger, a samurai. The impact of the collision cause them both to fall in the ground, the muddy puddle splashed on their fall. “Itaii yo...” Eshetique groaned and sat up, unaware that her hood had fallen, and revealed herself. A noble just not a normal noble but the daughter, a daughter of the imperial family.
“Kuso..” Cain cursed once again as he saw Eshetique bump into some once and fasten his pace even further.

His piercing gray eyes on the english man without any shame of staring at him. Kirus half nodded half bowed once again, stepping past the grey haired man deftly, but not unkindly. He could feel the other male's gaze burning through him like gunpowder, it made him more than uncomfortable, he had a strong suspicion that the small house over which he was now crossing the threshhold was indeed this mans, but the man said nothing, so neither did Kirus. The situation was all very strange to him, the new place, and weather, people and houses...even the air tasted different here. He tried not to notice, to look anything other than right at home in any situation would just not do. Kirus shook out his hair a little and smoothed it back with a free hand, spreading beads of shining water out across his scalp, they settled like dew drops resting on spider webs, as did the beads clinging to his lashes, save those which ran in rivulets down his alabaster skin giving the impression of new tears. Anyone who knew him would know intimatly that this man would cry for no one but himself.
He cast a glance around the house, its strange architecture set off by the building materials and decor, or lack there of. He was in two minds about following the obvious custom that the female in purple set by slipping off her strange shoes at the doorway. On the upside of doing so, he would show he was an aimiable man and resonable. By doing so he would be able to force some liking towards himself which he needed if he wanted them to help him, he could show he had respect for them and their culture. On the downside, he had no such respect.
He decided, after a moment or two, that he should put on a face for now, alone in a new country where one would be lost without help and guidance, one could at least swallow some pride and slip off their shoes. Or in the case of Kirus, boots. He leant down gracefully to slip a finger into the side of his shoe, the digit fitting tightly between the velvet of his breetches covering his calf and the leather of his boots.
After giving a slight flick of his wrist the boot fell loose and he stepped away from it to repeat the action on the other foot and place the bots neatly by the door. "it is most kind of you to welcome me so warmly" he said, smiling and the female and casting a glance back at the grey haired man his smile turning a little sardonic, before pasting angelic once more as he returned his gaze to his hostess to speak. "please do allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kirus, I am here from England on business"

This is his house and so we follow his rules. He isn't that much of a talker around strangers, please forgive me for that. I hope your stay will be to yuor likings, though i know our cultures aren't much alike." She smiled and nodded as she noticed Seti stepping inside also. His face seemed calm and she knew right that moment that he would be calm, but on his guard for if the stranger tried something. "Please, would you want something to drink, tea perhaps?" She moved further into the room, with small but fast steps just like before when she was outside. She pulled her long white hair over her shoulder to her front as she put a kettle on the fire and pulled a bottle sake from the fridge for Seti. "Gomen, maybe you would like some sake also? This is what Seti prefers in the afternoon." She looked at both man from the kitchen and smiled politely.

Seti entered his house with mixed feelings, for the first time in his life. He slipped out of his sandals and walked up to a wall at the south of the house. All the walls where decorated with weapons. Most seemed old but Seti could work with them perfectly. He put his katana up against the wall and did the same with his wakazachi. He did not need to wear a weapon inside, he could just reach for one at the wall he was near and use. He was pleased with his house and wondered if it frightened the stranger. To most it was just decoration, to him it was his job and life. He sat down near the low table and waited for Byoux to come up with the drinks.

Kirus noted the forign names and attempted to log them in his mind, no doubt he would get the pronouciation wrong at some point. He was beginning to find that the kindness of the female was overly confident, he himself knew that he would never let a stranger into his home, let alone a forigner...but then it wasnt her home was it? As for Seti, he was looking calmer now, but then his rather humble walls were decorated with reams of not-so-humble weapons. The silver and steel and wood of the paraphenalia that hung so gracefully on the walls seemed to shine and sing with every turn of Kirus' head, perhaps already baying for his blood, wishing to be in the hands of thier master. Seti, he sumerised, must be older than he looked, and have some real skill with a blade...Kirus could make no such boast.
He tried to ignore the pressing in of those amoured walls, the real knowledge that now he was inside there was much less room to run. Was he wrong to be so mistrusting?
He tried to shake the feeling off and hide it deftly behind a small smile that graced his face like morning. It had been a well practiced expression.
"Thank-you, some tea would be lovely, though I feel I should be more open to trying local cusine...tell me, what is this ah..Saki like?"

He then noticed The other man probebly didn't know what was happening. "Sake, is wine. Wine made out of rice. Rich taste, rich in texture." He reached for the bottle and poured it into three bowls. Sliding one towards Kirus, leaving one in the middle and taking one in his hand. "So, what brings you to this humble country, Gai-jin?" Seti's piercing gray eyes where now fixed on the english mans eyes. Not letting his gaze slip at all as he just stared, maybe rather rude, but none of his concern.

Kirus nodded along to everything the boy was saying, he was rather pleased to find he would be trying local wine so soon, a glass of wine would help settle his still aching stomach no doubt. He was a little surprised then to find that the wine was poured into bowls rather than goblets, but he let it slide. No doubt this was a Japanaese tradition. He frowned however when he was named a Gai-Jin. He had no way of knowing whether he had been called a forigner or a b*****d.
He let it go however, if this man wanted to insult him, he could damn well do it to his face in a way he could understand- everything else he would let slide from him like the rain that was drying in his hair. He leveled his eyes to the stromy ones oppositte him, and shuffled a little as he tried to get comfortable sitting so low to the ground. "I'm here on business" he replied smoothly "slaves specifically" he was well aware that his hosts may take offence to this, but they would know soon enough anyway, so better let them know sooner rather than later, this way, if he needed to find new escorts, he had more time.

"I'm here on business" he replied smoothly "slaves specifically" he was well aware that his hosts may take offence to this, but they would know soon enough anyway, so better let them know sooner rather than later, this way, if he needed to find new escorts, he had more time.Seti hadn't ment the word as a bad thing, he just used it mostly when there was some outsider around, especially in his own house. "Slaves, something thats illegal here. But then again the new 'modern' gouvernment likes it." He snarled at that. He hated the new gouvernment, the samurai where being pushed away. Being the scumbags of japan in the gouverments eyes. "I do hope you don't plan on taking away people i know around here." His eyes where about to set on fire, this fierce his gaze was. "If your nice and clean you won't have trouble with either me or Byoux, but if its not with our rules then i thing you can better find another village to expand your sales." The tread was clean and clear. Kirus would have a good samurai at his side if he did what Seti liked, and maybe even tried to get against the gouvernment. But if Kirus wanted to go against Seti's rules it would be one hell of a fight, Seti would never give up.

This man had alot of contempt for the new government, whoever they were, and more so for slave traders it would seem. He hadnt expected anything less. Of course the friends of the slaves would feel for them, it was human nature apparently. Not that he took this into account alot of the time, slaves were not treated horribly, they were merely treated as slaves. "Mr Seti-" he began, lifting the bowl of saki carfully to his lips and sipping. The taste was strange but not unpleasent, it was strong he thought, but time would tell that. It seemed to lack the refinement of English wine, but then, he had yet to see real refinement on English terms anywhere here, it seemed these Japanese were refined in other areas, weaponry and mannerisms. He placed the bowl back on the table, nodding with a small smile to show his appreciation before carrying on what he was saying. "Mr Seti, you seem to know enough about the slave trade to know that it is never clean nor is it in any way nice. I asure you though I do not go out of my way to harrass the merchendise least they have gone out of thier ways to displease me. Do I make myself clear?" He was cold yes, but then in this business he had to be, or perhaps he had always been cold and the business was merely thrust upon his nature. He couldnt quite remember any more.

"I hear you and you heard me aswell. Just different ways to make a living." He wondered how people could be this cold. "Are you after women? Children?" His eyes where turning darker, if it was just men the other was going to use as slaves he was a little more comforted with it. He lifted the bowl to his lips and drank the sake at once. He really wondered what how Byoux would take it. The woman was insane, in his eyes. If she would want the slaves saved she would even kill them if needed. He would rather keep it from her, but this is what the other did, no denying it.
