Chris stared at the ship and grinned. He then looked at Rio and said, "I know how to fly, i was a bounty runner in the past and i once flew to another galaxy while outrunning the people that were after my bounty." Rio and Chris entered the ship and sat down at the controls. Suddenly remembering how to fly, Chris lifted the ship up and off the ground. Rio sat down at the pilots seat and engaged the thrusters which sent the ship hurtling from out the docking bay. Chris looked up as the ship flew out of the docking bay to see something like a meteor smashing up against the shield. Chris looked at Rio and said, "Ok, What is that thing. Why is it trying to destroy the planet?" Chris suddenly remembered a story that his father told him a day or two before he died. Chris tried to remember what they called the monster in the story but couldnt recount it's name. The only thing He could remember was that there were millions of it flying through the galaxy trying to devour planets. Chris suddenly felt the ship dip to a downwards position, Chris yanked the controls up which corrected them thereby making them straight. Chris looked at Rio once again and said, "Were are we off to?"

Rio wasn't listening. He was staring intently at the metetor-like object.
"It's metal," he said finally. "That isn't a metetor - that's a ... really large missle."
Suddenly he started messing with the radar scan. "If one of them is on Bam ... I might be able to make contact with them*."
He stared intently at the hologram display until finally a blue dot appeared inside of the man-made city. He turned on his second communicator.
"Oi, who is this? Oi, Priestist?" Static returned. "Come on, somebody answer me.
"Rio?" came over a voice, which was reconizable even through the rusty feed.
"Cinel!" RIo exclaimed. "Can you get to a choppidu? I'm going to try and find Priestist, but if you can't get out - "
He stopped as the com went dead and the blue dot vanished from the radar. Rio was temporaily speechless.
"We have to go back," he said finally, adjusting the engines.

((Hold on, back up. A six man choppidu doesn't have an outer hull unless you are talking about the outside of the craft and then we don't have suits on a transport craft. Also your arrows wouldn't fly. What you wrote just doesn't make sense.))

((At the rate we're going with the explaination I'm suprise it didn't become beginner.))
Rio tried to realign the Septra to dock when Bam, but something flew past the front of the craft. Even Rio's eyes, so well trained in spotting fast moving objects, could barely make out the smaller verson of the missle tearing apart Bam.
"I think someone is shooting - "
Another missle flashed sliently by and Rio stopped speaking - he was too caught up. This is where he belonged: in danger, excitement, with his adrenneline pumped to the max. He pushed the thrusters harder while trying to make out the source of the missles on his rader.
"Chris, strap yourself in and redirect the power from the gravity generators to the thrusters. Leave just enough power to keep our hands moving. Even then it'll take forty seconds to reach a port - "
Another missle, three times the size of the six-man Septra hit upon the suface of Bam - right on the dock Rio was headed for.
"Make that three minutes."

Chris quickly redirected the power to the thrusters just as Rio said and they were back inside the docking bay of Bam. Chris stared out the pilots window and thought that he saw a man in a black outfit carrying a gun nearby. Chris blinked and the man was suddenly gone. Chris stared at Rio and said, " Rio, I dont like this feeling that im getting, It is like my instincts are telling me that we need to leave now." Rio stared at Chris and unbuckled, Chris followed suit and they both exited the ship and stood in the empty bay.

Domerin Thompson ((At the rate we're going with the explaination I'm suprise it didn't become beginner.)) ((Ah, you don't give yourself enough credit...I think this rates intermediate easily! It's a complex storyline...or backstory...or whatever...))

"This is strange ... " said Rio. "Everybody couldn't have gotten out that quickly. Where are they?"
Rio, get to Mauchi! said a voice in his head. Rio shook his head vigerously. What was that?, he wondered.

Kara walked down the empty bay, looking around cautiously. The place seemed deserted, although she'd almost been run over in the earlier rush, and some arrogant b*****d had knocked her out and stolen her choppidu. She had a hell of a headache. She continued forward, thinking that surely there was still somebody here. She had enough money to pay for passage and enough bullets to ensure she arrived in one piece.
She turned the corner and saw two men standing near...yes, it was a choppidu! She cautiously walked forward towards the pair of them. There were too many vultures around for her taste, and the scar tracing from the right side of her neck to the leftside of her collarbone itched. She rested a hand casually on the Mayor's Leg strapped to her hip as she walked forward.
"Are you taking passengers?" She called out, wondering if she was going to have to shoot someone else. She pushed the thought away. She didn't want to waste any bullets; after what had just happened it was looking like she might need them.

Rio looked around sharply. He had slight trouble understanding what she had said.
After a moment he replied, "Um ... no - I mean yes - actually I'm looking for someone. I'm not going anywhere until I find him - "
Another nearby section blew off. Rio grabbed the ladder leading to his choppidu to prevent himself from getting caught in the silent hurricane, but the blast door slammed down immediatly and rendered this precaution unnessiary.
"Bollocks," swore Rio.

Kara flinched as another section was blown off and gave a curse about the same time as the man.
"If you'll take me off this planet, I'll help you look." She said, moving forward. "Who are we looking for?" She asked as another piece of the station was blown off, causing the whole place to rock suddenly. She was thrown forward, and landed on her side a few feet away from the pair of men. Alarms began to blare and the ground suddenly righted itself again. Kara quickly stood up. "We'd better hurry."

Rio thought for a second with his eyes closed. He had two choices: risk the lives of two strangers to find someone who most likely dead, or take the more sensible course of action. Rio wasn't the type to make decisions like these, Priestist had alway made the hard decisions. He would ...
"Just climb up this ladder and get aboard," he said finally. "I'll be pilot and Chris, you'll be co-pilot."
He nodded up the ladder and offered it the others first.

Chris noded and followed up the ladder with Kara in back of him. The three of them entered the craft and Rio and Chris entered the pilots room. Chris immediatly started the turbines. The ship was off and out of the bay back into space. Chris turned and looked at Rio. Chris then looked at Kara and said, " Hey, My name is Chris and this is Rio."
