Wow that's really interesting. Also: Draco is the Latin word for "dragon". Evil Dragon. Interesting name. I can't believe how may names in Harry Potter there are and they were all pretty much thought out for their meaning. When I was younger, I just thought they were random, hard to pronounce, names. Wow

This is so interesting, I never knew that the names had so much meaning behind them. I knew about Dumbledore's name and Minerva and Snape and Draco's name meant, just not the others. Thanks for creating this thread!

I remember that when I would read them, I always tried to quiz myself on where the names I recognized came from (like Minerva and Draco). I never looked up the ones I didn't recognize, though.... crying It's cool to know what they mean.
