Misuki Marishima If you're thinking about the movie, then yeah, L did fake his death. It's because he (spoiler): wrote his own name thinking Light was going to kill him, so he prolonged his life to 23 days rather than having Rem kill him. He couldn't save Watari though because he didn't think Light would go after him... O_O r u ******** serious?!

I wish L was just faking it, as he was the most likeable character of this anime imo. Anyways he is dead, and Rem is a Shinigami so she may know more rules than what she has told Light. About writing a name down right after the other.

emo I also hoped that L's death was fake... but it isn't. There is no rule that opposes Rem's actions before turning dust. Why do you think Raito was able to kill many people while watching the news on the same day at the same time? Sorry but there isn't crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying
