"Eeeh!" she squeaked, reaching over to touch his shoulder, "I am actually. That's so cool, we'll get to go to school together." And he'd be able to help her out on a daily basis, if he wanted to at least. But he was cool, he'd probably be willing to. School seemed a bit less worriesome now, even though she had already been told Riley was going there too. Maybe he'd like Riley. Had he met her?

"What classes do you have?" Antony asked as he dug through his pocket, pulling out his little list. "Father got the list in the mail, and I signed up for everything that sounded interesting," he said as he showed her his list. It had almost all of the courses listed on it.
Antony liked books, after all.

She glanced over his list, drawing her finger down until something matched in her mind. "Oh! I've got English with Mr. Quoile, but he's the only teacher that was on my list. I think they're still looking for some." She told him, feeling knowledgable. Of course she hadn't really paid too much attention to the class list, nothing had really jumped out at her, but maybe now she'd take a little more interest. "So what classes are you looking forward to?" she asked, hoping to get some ideas.

"Science," he said quickly. "And history, but I have no idea who's teaching it. Then again I don't know any of the teachers we do know about, so I guess it's all up to fate."

"Science sounds pretty good," she admitted, though history sounded a little boring. But if he liked it she'd give it a chance right? There had to be something to it. "I wonder what kind of science it is, Mama says there are a lot of them. Like stuff about rocks and animals and planets," she added, sort of hoping herself for the stuff like rocks. Some rocks made gems afterall, right? That had to be interesting.

Jack does science stuff," Antony said cheerfully, not having a clue that it was actually magic. "And Dr. Beatrix has this floating rock that tried to eat Evie. Think that's science?"

Manny blinked. A flying... Rock? "I don't know," she admitted, "Seems kinda weird to me." Oh crap. "I mean, not that I think your family's weird, I just haven't heard of something like that." Time for a little change of subject before she dug a bigger hole for herself. "I hope the classes aren't too big," she said, "Like, I kind of want to be able to know everyone there."

Flying rocks WERE weird, now that he thought about it. But then again he had always known his family was strange. "Well I bet it won't be too bad," he said optimistically. "At least we'll get to show off our clothes."
Which was something he would NEVER have said to someone who didn't understand.

"Totally," she agreed, glancing back down at her basket, "Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't we try some stuff on, it'll be like our own little fashion show!" That and trying stuff on was the best way of knowing what stuff looked like, and thus, what accessories would make it look best. And who didn't like to feel glamorous? Crazies, that's who.

Manuela giggled as Antony went for the toy section. Wasn't it usually the kids that liked the toys instead of the parents? Either way it was kind of cool, sorta. And it was only a short step away from the dressing rooms. There was bound to be some things that looked good on them. As he walked away she started thinking, what kind of cut would look good on him?

He came back a little while later with an armful of classically cut silk shirts and pants. "Sorry, he got distracted by the water guns," he said with a mature air.

Water guns. Ah, she'd seen some older guys having a water fight once, it looked like some fun, but not fun enough for her to get wet. As he approached she caught sight of the silk items and smiled, "Very nice." Her own basket now contained some new items, ones which she had left with Estelle should she decide to try them on. "So who's first?" she asked as they headed for the dressing room.

"You can go first," he said gallantly. Besides, there was nothing more fun than seeing pretty girls dressed up in his mind. He liked Manuela so much better than that tomboy Riley. She had good fashion sense, after all.
