Angathi had gone further inland. Luckily, he hadn't met anymore snooty Land-ers.... okay, so the little one was kind of cute, he had to admit. There were other things to see; things that are unknown under the sea. There were forests, sure, but they were made of something much stiffer than the kelp and seaweed he was used to. The ground was covered in some green stuff, and he wasn't sure how much he liked it or not.

And then.... something caught his eye. It was kind of spherical, but not quite? Things looked just so weird. Angathi went to investigate. The stallion sniffed it, and there was a strange humming coming from inside. A little miffed, the Knight stabbed it with his horn. As he tried to pull it off... it stayed on and wouldn't budge!

Angathi reared up, ripping the sphere from the tree it hung from. Bad idea. Hundreds of little creatures came out... they reminded him on plankton or shrimp. The Knight didn't think they were too bad... UNTIL THEY STARTED biting him!

In a rage, Angathi yelled and growled, rearing and swinging around the obstruction on his horn. That just made more little creatures come out and attack!

Now, things were getting more than painful. Now more desperate than ever, Angathi took off at a gallop to the place he knew and understood the most.... the Sea.

As he went straight for the water, Angathi went right past the big and little Land-ers. He didn't stop, just streaked past them with a whimper, and continued until the water was deep enough to dive into.

In the water, he was finally able to dislodge the horrible thing from his horn. When it was off, Angathi swam far far away from it, realizing that he was near the little one swimming much better than before. She really was getting it!

Zoom!

Biscuit scarcely had time to look up as the Kelpi shot by him, it had been the whimper that had caught his attention though and he raised a brow. He'd never found those in pain to be amusing but he had to admit that had the situation been a little different he might have found it comical...The kelpi did after all, have a wasp nest on his head.

Nevertheless, as the Kelpi took a plunge into the sea and sent waves towards his daughter it became all too apparent that while the nest had been dislodged it was floating just a little to close for comfort to his daughter. Even while she giggled and swam about (as all naive children do) he could only afford a very brief second to enjoy it before plunging in himself to retrieve the nest.

Alright, so he was going to be stung more times than he could count but he wasn't going to let them touch his daughter. And so, it was with a small snort that he tentatively began to nudge the soggy nest back towards the shore - grunting at the little swarm circling over his head. Oh how he wished someone would come up with a fool proof way to scare off bugs!

"Daddeh! Why ye playin' with the wasps?" Honey enquired as she tread water near by.

"I nae be, I be movin' it back te shore," Biscuit replied through gritted teeth, giving a snort (and then a rather undignified yell) as one wasp went up his nose.

Angathi had stayed in the water, where the caresses of the water irritated his now swollen sores. With almost no fur to protect him, the work of the wasps had done a number on him. His head emerged from the water's surface, and he was gasping for air.... using gills and lungs to do the work.

Just as he looked around, the kelpi heard the big one yell. With a lunge, Angathi dove for the little girl, and protectively wrapped his strong tail around her - in doing so, he helped her stay afloat easier as well as keeping her nearby.

"Stay away from those horrors, little one.... They are EVIL!" He yelled back to the spherical thing, glad the big one was taking it away, with the little monstrosities with him.

Angathi probably looked a sight now, with little splotched of pink-red skin where he had been bitten over and over again.

Honey gave a delighted giggle as she felt the tail coil around her tiny form. Perhaps it was her naivety, but with a coo she wriggled her legs and then nudged at the strange limb in a curious fashion. It was an odd thing, so very odd indeed and while she was used to biting her father's tail she wasn't sure she could even grip this one if she tried!

Nevertheless, ceasing her wriggling she turned her gaze towards the Kelpi who seemed more horror stricken than her daddy and canted her to the side. Already his skin was developing really strange marks, marks she'd never seen before and they looked rather painful - but to call the wasps evil was a little harsh, they were just over protective!

"They nae be evil," She pointed out with a small giggle, tentatively nudging at the Kelpi's tail as she watched her father's antics near the shore, "They jes' be a tad over protective and a bit grumpy!" She explained, blinking twice as her father gave another shout and set off at a brisk trot, tail held high to act as a fly swapper.

"They dinnae really like te listen te reason either," She mused before returning her gaze to the Kelpi, "Are ye alright though?"

Angathi left his tail where it was, at least the little one wouldn't run off - or drown - with him there. The Kelpi shook his head. "There is a creature I met once that was much the same. Little things, travelled in schools. They didn't care what came near them or why, but they'd attack. And they wouldn't stop, no matter how much one would plead or beg." His voice lowered at the memory, "We lost a little one then..." The Kelpi's tail tightened a little. Not enough to hurt the little one, but it was more a way to prove to himself that the small, warm body was still there and in his care.

Her question returned to him, "No, I'm not alright, but I'll heal. I heard we of the Sea heal faster than you on Land."

"Ye could very well do," Honey replied smoothly, wagging her tiny tail while she still adjusted to his grap. To have his tail wrapped round her in such a strange way was hard to get used to, it felt funny too! That being said, while he father was performing the heroic act of ridding the lake of the nest it was comforting to have another to make sure she wasn't going to sink.

"Although there's a land soquili that heals others real good!" Honey began, turning her gaze back to the Kelpi with a large grin, "They're unicorns, their horns go all twinkly and stuff! Then they put it on ye scratch and POOF, all gone." She'd only ever seen it once but like a child at a magic show she had been mesmerised.

"Was amazin', ye shoulda seen it!" She glanced briefly at his wounds before pulling a face, "If'fn ye want, I can go look fer one te help ye?"

Angathi chuckled to the little filly's tale. Not only that, but her tail was tickling him! His scaled body was very sensitive to that kind of thing. He was happy that the stallion was ridding them of that evil contraption of a thing.

"A twinkling horn?" Angathi ducked his head, to display his own on his head. "You mean kind of like this?" And here, he had always been told it was for stabbing, much like a narwhal or such. Who knew it could be used for healing!

"You know," the Kelpi said, as his head was still low, in an afterthought, "you're squriming tickles...."

"Oh, want me te stop?" Honey ceased her squirming rather abruptly and offered a sheepish smile. She had to admit this was probably the weirdest thing she had ever experienced but she had to be accommodating. It was only polite and her family prided themselves on being approachable and well mannered even if her daddy hadn't been as polite as usual.

...Then again, neither had Mister Kelpi.

Nevertheless, before the Kelpi had time to respond Biscuit had already returned to the scene, muttering under his breath and smacking his hind quarters more than was normal. Apparently, like the kelpi he ad been stung quite a few times but he wasn't against smacking his hindquarters senseless to remove the itch!

"Daddeh!" Honey cooed in delight.

"Honey," Biscuit took a few moments to consider his options before stepping into the water. He soon released a sigh of relief in response to the cool water against his skin and shook his head. "It's gettin' late, we're gonna need to start headin' if we want te get ye home in time for night fall."

"Awww..." Honey protested quietly.

Angathi watched Biscuit. He still didn't trust the large male, but he was the Little One's father, and the Knight had to respect his wishes. When he announced it was time to go, the Kelpi unwrapped his tail from Honey's small form and took a step back as she waded in the water. "Father says it's time to go, Little One." With that, he gave her a light nudge with his nose.

And then, he stood tall and watched with pride as she swam back to shore, back to her father. Any stallion should be proud to have a daughter like her. Deep down, Angathi wished them luck.

The breeze picked up in the evening light, and rustled the waves at Angathi's feet. He would make sure she made it to land before turning and returning to his own lonely life.

"I know, I know." Honey agreed, paddling briefly as she was given the nudge. It was then that she took the opportunity to give him a mild nuzzle before creeping towards the shore. In the water she was perfectly steady but the moment she hit the shore she promptly fell on her backside. Biscuit could do no more than laugh and nudge her to her feet again.

She looked a little like a startled deer, but did raise to her feet again.

"Get well soon, Mister!" She announced loudly before chomping onto her father's tail for balance. Once she had a secure hold the stallion began to wander at a rather slow pace away from the shore and towards the lands and the rising slopes on the horizon.
