Why do people spend hundreds to thousands of real life money donating to Gaia just so they can get a lot of letters to sell off for pretend gold?

What is 2 + 2? sweatdrop It can be 4, 5, 0, or 1. 2+2=4 in the school system, however, values can be rounded down to 2 as well. For example 2.45+2.45=2+2 but also 2.45+2.45=4.90 which can be rounded to 5. Therefore 4=5. If you subtract four from both sides of this equation you end up with 0=1. That is why any single thing is equal to nothing. This proves my theory that everything in the universe is insignificant. 3nodding

Pharaohess Why do people spend hundreds to thousands of real life money donating to Gaia just so they can get a lot of letters to sell off for pretend gold? They are spending 2.50 at a time, which seems insignificant so the huge expenditure doesn't occur to them. Some people simply enjoy donating because they love the site and want to keep it going (though they need not because it's being paid for through advertising and all extra money is heading straight for the creator's pockets), while others enjoy the items and see this as the easiest and most effective way to make their avatar look the way they want. It's entertaining to make the avatar look nice so it's not irrational to spend money on it just like other forms of entertainment. 3nodding

ClaudiaJade whee heart is there a reason humans have 4fingers instead of 3 or 5? Each finger has a use. The opposable thumb is obvious and the middle finger is used in conjunction with that to grip things. The index finger (closest to the thumb) is used for more dexterity testing skills. If you'd take a moment you'd notice that it's easier to point, poke and prod with. The pinky finger is for balance. It makes it easier to grip something with your entire hand by being the solid bit that holds the weight at the bottom. The ring finger is like a backup for your pinky. It helps to hold more weight. It's like the muscley guy that can't move easily of your hand. I suppose we could only have three fingers but it would make life a little more difficult.
