Wait. What?
The mare gaped for a moment, looking at Copper and blinking, ears perked. Then she realised she was staring, and looked at the water for a bit. How great! She didn't know what to say-- she had no idea what to say. She took a side-glance at the stallion for a moment, and he seemed thoughtfull. So she moved to sit next to him; she liked sitting with him. It was their thing-- sitting down.
"Um.. " She didn't know what to say, again. But at least, when you aren't talking, you have time to think. He liked her. Her. What should she do?! But.. It sort of felt.. right. She thought to herself. Kasi wasn't an extremely complicate mare; she was a simpleton, and enjoyed the little things. But this wasn't exactly.. little. And it wasn't huge or ginormous either, but it kind of felt like it could grow, because it already had. And.. she kind of thought.. She liked him too.
But Kais was, from the start, bad with words. Copper was the more tohughtfull one out of the due, and he said things better than she did, but she could still do something! And she did. She nuzzled him. Oh, she probably looked like an idiot right now! Fun.

He completely understood. A week had not exactly been long enough to fully understand and know her, but he could tell she was at a loss for words. He thought it was better that way...Then they wouldn't have to explain anything. They could just let their feelings grow. It was obvious she approved of his feelings...He got that message when he recieved the nuzzle. He did the same to her affectionatly.
If she looked like an idiot, then he had sounded like one. But at the moment Copper had not a care in the world about how he sounded or how she looked. His crush grew to the next level and he smiled to himself happily.
Maybe, just maybe, this could be something special in his life.

"Hey! " Kasi said suddenly; what a mood breaker. She got to her feet, as she wasn't good with lovey-dovey moments. It felt awkward for her, as happy as she was. "Wanna race? " She dared, pricking her ears forward and swishing her tail.
"Cause we gotta find a place to sleep. " She said, nodding.

Copper smiled. "Alrighty...Where's the finish line?" he asked looking around. There was nowhere here to race to; there was too many bushes and trees around. They'd have to go back to the moth place and go from there. Copper was still dripping water and he wanted to run it off. He wondered if Kasi was still wet. "Come on! Let's go." he said and waited for her politely before walking back through the bushes.

The mare looked around. Durn, they couldn't race here. So she followed Copper through the bushes. "Um.. " She said, when they were out, and looked around. "Um. Um. Um! Lets look for one. " she said, kind-of smartly.
So she began to trot along the water.. bushes. Usually where there was water, there were place to sleep? Well, she was kind-of making that up. But sitll! It had some logic! maybe.

Copper liked sleeping by water, the sound of the water was always soothing and put him to sleep faster than lullabies. He looked around as they walked, hoping to find a good place to settle down for the night. Ahead of them was more bushes, but there seemed to be a space in between them.
He walked through the space and came to a smaller clearing. The trees were so large that they almost completely covered the sky except for where the moon was. It was an odd place but looked wonderful for staying the night. "Hmm...Does this look ok?" he asked and let her in.
When he looked around he realised how beautiful it was. The moon lit the area up and to the right was a little pond coming from water trickling from the river. A bunch of apple trees, pine trees, and trees Copper didn't recognize surrounded the place to make it a perfect circle. It was like someone had made it just for them.

The mare followed Copper happly, occasionally butting a bush with her nose to spook out a grasshopper or a moth, and sometimes, jut for fun, jumping over a few bushes.
But soon there was just bare ground, and she looked up, walking backward a bit in suprise. "Wow. " She muttered, looking around, ears perked. All those trees! And.. And.. There were apples. And it was without hesitation that she took a running leap and grabbed one, pulling it off the branch and smiling at Copper, or at least as much as she could with the fruit in her mouth.

Copper chuckled. "I'm guessing that's a yes?" he supposed. He trotted around the clearing in circles. The grass was soft and ankle length. It sort of tickled him. He yawned a bit and bent down. He nibbled at the grass for a snack before sleep. Then Copper turned around and trotted over to Kasi. He couldn't help nuzzling her and standing close.

Kasi nodded, and bit onto the apple, splitting it in half, allowing one half to fall on the ground, and started eating the one she had. She glanced down at the other half, then picked it up and offered it to Copper, with a motion of her head.
"hant? " The mare atempted to talk, but, of course, it wasn't that great when you had something holding your teeth apart. When Copper nuzzled her, she headbutted him, but almost ended up letting the apple fall. So Kasi sat down and perked her ears, trying to smile again behind the apple.

Copper laughed a little bit and took the apple she had offered. He sat down as well then got back up again. "Oh! What about the race?" he remembered suddenly. He wasn't in the mood to run but he figured it would be something to do. He didn't want to sleep quite yet.
He found that he was thirsty now so he figured he'd better drink a bit before the race. He went to the little pond and took a few gulps. He watched with a giggle when little minoes swam away from his reflection. They were funny little creatures...They seemed to be afraid of everything. He finished drinking and went back over to her waiting for the race to begin.

"Oh! The race! " Kasi gaped, and looked around, jumping out of the clearing for a moment. There was a tree a ways off, so she called to Copper. "We can go to that tree an back! " She said, nodding.
"And who gets here first wins! .. And who loses has to do something. But I dunno what. " She paused, flicking her ears and thinking. "The winner picks! "

Copper laughed. "Alrighty...Ready, set...GO!" he said and took off without hesitation. He went at full speed and looked around to see where Kasi was. He couldn't see around at the moment and his mane got into his face when he looked to the side. He slowed a little to look for her, worried he'd lost her. "Kasi? he said out loud and kept trying to look around. He feltlike an idiot because he knew she was probably right behind him.

"Watche stoppin' for? " Whinnied to the wind. She was actually not behind him, more towards his side, but slightly far to the side, probably why he didn't find her. But now that he slowed down, she was getting ahead. However, since she'd have to do a longer curve when she got to the tree, he'd pass her quickly, as Copper had longer strides, and was, indeed, faster than the mare.
When she was near the tree, Kasi started to make an open, circular curve, since as she was at full speed, a sharp curve could be risky, as she might slip over the slightly humid grass, but the curve ended up rather slow, and in the end, she slipped a bit anyways, slowing her down before she could run off again; at this rate, likely to have been passed.

Copper knew she was close and he saw her pull ahead. He laughed at himself and tried rushing ahead of her, but she got to the tree first and he had to turn quickly to avoid crashing into the tree. He slowed to a walk soon and kept a steady pace, trying to catch his breath. "Alright, you win." he said laughing.

The mare blinked, and skidded to a halt. "Watcha mean? " She blinked, perking her ears then laughing, though she too was panting. "Its both ways! " She exclaimed, flicked here tail and moving to stand next to him. "But ya ruined it. So now we need a new race. Its back, now. " She nodded smartly, and rolled her shoulders a bit, relaxing them.
"You give the go, k? " He was good at giving the go! Besides, if they were starting a new one, might aswell let him decide when his breath was caught. Besdies, this may give her time to sit a bit, she could just guess when he was giving the go and then get up! Right?
