I loved the movie! There were some awesome parts but some parts bothered me too. :/
Good: -The actress chosen for Bellatrix. OMG! I've always loved her and she totally rocked this part. biggrin -Luna was also very awesome to me. Very flighty and perfect. -Umbrige was so awesome and evil. She gave me the creeps being so perfect and pink. lol -I loved the book but Harry being so angsty got on my nerves I had to admit, so I was glad they cut a lot of that out of the movie.
Bad: -Where was Mrs. Blacks portrait? I mean I was really looking forward to that. -I really wanted to see more of Kreacher. -They were supposed to disillusion Harry before they left the house. :/ -I agree that Sirius' death was not right. They could have done better. -And I really wanted Harry to see Snape's memory from the pensieve. The way they did it didn't have the same impact for me.
Overall the movie was awesome though. I just had some things that I specifically wanted to see. However, this movie did satisfy my HP craving until the final book comes out.....*sob*

Whitewolfaura It was fine once I stopped comparing it to the book. But... I missed the quidditch scenes, I thought Sirius' death was rushed, And I missed the Peeves salute to the twins...made it seem less important. (it's a shame he doesn't appear in the movies...) But I thought Imelda Staunton did really well as Umbridge though. I agree. Peves should deffinatly be in the movies. I don't think Unbridge was frog like enough [Book comes out Saturday! I can't wait!]

I still haven't seen the movie... I doubt I will but I saw previews!
I thought Umbridge's actress was casted pretty well. She had the sickly sweet voice!

I just went and saw the movie yesterday at an IMAX theatre. It was awesome! As always, in comparison to the book, the movie is a little dissapointing. However, I know there is no way to fit like 800 pages of story into a 2 hour film. Back to the IMAX, the 20 minute 3D fight scene was a little dizzying but realy cool. I recomend everyone go see the movie on the BIG screen biggrin I miss Dobby.

Yeah, but then they'll have to take time to explain how Dobby came to be at Hogwarts. I doubt that there'll be much more than Dumbledore telling Harry that he has inherited Kreacher and Grimmauld place, with no sign of the little thing (coughtoeragcough) at all on the screen itself. I would have liked to see his temper tantrum, though. As well as Petunia watching in horror as he threw himself all over her carpet.

Well, I personally thought it was a really good film, but if they were trying to make it accurate to the book then the producers failed miserably..
I was really looking forward to some of the scenes, but they weren't there! Obviously, they couldnt cram the whole book in, it would have made it way too long, but still.
I thought that the actress who played Umbridge was great! She was a credit to the role, as was Bellatrix Lestrange, and Luna Lovegood.. But OMG Snape's worst memory? What happened there? That was so annoying I wanted to scream! It was a really important bit and it was ruined! And the same for Sirius' death, that was no where near as depressing as it should have been! And, where the hell was the St. Mungoes scene?
Two more things; yet again, Voldemort cannot bend his fingers, and did anyone else notice the strange chemistry between Sirius and Lupin? I've never been a shipper of this paring, but the scene when Harry first arrives in Grimmauld Place and Sirius greets him with a hug, the look from Lupin to Sirius made me do a double take!

So I'm not the only one who thought something was wierd in that Grimmauld scene with Sirius and Lupin! xp I liked the movie. 3nodding I agree with, well, everyone apparently, that Luna, Umbridge, and Bellatrix Lestrange were really well cast! xd I liked all the camera angles and especially the Daily Prophet stuff. biggrin Lily was not in "Snape's Worst Memory: Abrigded Version". That upset me a lot. She should've been there! scream Sirius's death was rushed. sad

I liked it apart from a few things, really.
Sirius's death was rushed. Very rushed. D:
Snape's Worst Memory...yesss...
St Mungo's. I would've liked to have scene that, really.
But for us SBRL shippers, it was fab as fab can be. xD

Much better than prisoner of Azkaban movie but..... They never ended the Harry + Cho relationship or showed that he no longer cared for her the same way.... I would have also liked to see the scene on the train where Ginny tells Ron she broke up with her boyfriend and Ron tells her to find someone better while looking at Harry... Also Sirius's death was messed up. It destroyed the whole mystery behind the veil and why Sirius died when he went through it not because of Avada Kedavra. Plus they never explained who the Messers where so how could Harry have known that Padfoot was Sirius??? Oh well there is always HBP

It wasn't bad. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. I loved how the patronuses evolved. After the half-hearted attempt at showing one in Movie Four, these were much nicer, and it was easier to see the animals they were supposed to be. I also liked (or disliked) Delores Umbridge. O.o Dear Lord. She said in an interview she hated filming the torture scenes. She did such a wonderful job at making her a hateful character. On top of that... Bellatrix was absolutely awesome. I can't see anyone else doing that part now. Helena Bonam Carter did a great job! Luna turned out great, too. She was adorable. I also liked the kestrels. They came out cool looking. I had hoped for a bigger break out from the twins... but, it was still amusing to watch the giant dragon firework 'eat' Umbridge.
And everyone grew up so nice! Ron needed a haircut, and I'm so glad he got one. Sirius looked smexeh with his hair the way it was. Hermione's really getting very pretty. And Ginny looked so pretty, too! Neville got really cute in a dorky kind of way...
