Sighing slightly, Sinent blinked before continuing, "You sshould not change yoursself jusst to pleasse your father... but if you are sso inclined to do sso I ssupposse I can help you be a little lesss afraid. Or at leasst teach you how to ssurvive out here... I might be young but I know a lot." The gentle smile returned to his face as he watched Saeraphena shrink away from the hawk.
No father should force his child to become less afraid in this manner... let alone force them to change.

Realizing her words portrayed her father as cold and callous, she shook her head. "Don't get me wrong... Father loves me...He just doesn't have much time for me since he's always at the lighthouse... He knows I'm to much of a coward? to actually get in harms way. It took me forever to get out this far" she sighed rolling onto her back. That was a growing problem with liking to lay in the sun and being pure black. It got hot.
"Teach me to survive out here?" she whispered. This was the first person aside from her sister and her father she had ever truly talked to, and here he was offering to help her. "I think that will be hard. Everything is out to get you, you know."

"Not everything iss out to get you. Take for insstance... letss ssee... me. Have I tried to harm you in anyway?" Twitching his nose at a peculiar scent, Sinent resisted the urdge to flick his tongue out, even though he could smell the scent better that way. "But if you'll allow, you'll find that I am a very good teacher and sscavanger."

"No you havent... she huffed, but that doesn't mean you wont throw me off a cliff or feed me to some other creature..", She sighed as she contemplated, weither or not it was in her best interest to go, on the one hand, she had the chance to make daddy proud. Not only that but she now had the chance to make a friend. Then again, she knew nothing about him. He could be out to get her.
It took everything in her to gain the courage to agree, but she softly whispered, "I'll go with you...." she half forced a smile through her nervous expression.

It took everything he had to not give her a repoachfull gaze, so Sinent just settled on biting the inside of his cheek until she finished speaking.
"Wonderful Misss Ssaeraphena. Now I have a quesstion to assk... Do you ssoley eat veggitabless?" It was an odd question to ask, but the male needed to know what types of food she ate so he could determine which kinds of food he should show her to eat and how to get them.

She wandered off the rock and crawled slightly closer to him. She continued to watch him. "I eat a lot of things, Fish, Berries, Mushrooms... Daddy kills the fish for me so that they don't eat me." she felt proud of this and showed it with a smile. She was growing more comfortable with him slowly.
"If you don't mind me asking, why do you look so diffrent from the others?"

"Well I'm ssure that I can sshow you how to kill your own fish... we'll sstart with guppiess. They're much ssmaller... about the ssize of your paw." Nodding, Sinent mused about the different plants and berries he could show her where they live, and if any grew near here. And he continued to think until he was rosed into reality by Saeraphena's question. "I was born thiss way Misss Ssaeraphena. I don't have a mother or a father sso I don't know if I inheirited my lookss from them or not."

"How can you not have a mother or a father!?! Everyone has a mother and a father.!" she blurted out before realizing how rude she had just been, she lowered her head and appologized profusly. If there was one thing her father did do right was teach her respect.
"i'm very sorry" she whispered, she kept her voice low now, "Fish, yes fish...small fish? There are small fish?" she said with a half excited tone.

Friendly, Sinent smiled as he waited for the female Ulaya to finish speaking before he replied to her questioning. "I'm ssure they are out there ssomewhere, but asss to living with them like you do... I live alone." Laying down, the green coated blue eyed male crossed his front paws. "There are ssmall fissh in sstreamss too, not everything around you iss bigger than you are now."

She laid down in front of him. "Does living alone hurt?" she asked as if it was a normal question."though I prefer to be alone, I would be sad if my father or my sister or mother disappeared." she paused as she crossed her paws mimicing her current company.
There was an awkward pause,she looked up as she heard the hawk fly by again, she fur growing stiff, her little tail twitching. "I know not everything is bigger than me. Ants are smaller, but that doesn't mean that they can't hurt you" she cocked her head to the side, looking down at the ground. "Daddy says that Red ants can kill a small ulaya and that I should avoid making them angry."

"At the begining... But after a while I grew ussed to being alone... hunting and finding sshelter was a trial and error bassiss. I found mosst animalss left me alone if I hisssed at them." Closing his blue slitted eyes for a moment, Sinent sighed and figeted slightly, the heat was started to get to him. "Well it would be besst to avoid them all together. But even big thingss like deer or large fissh don't necesssarily want to hurt you. You'll learn about that when we sstart off."

"Are you ok?" she asked as she noticed he fidgiting motions. "We shall see.." she exclaimed as she stood up from where she laid and cleaned herself off. She was a very clean person and her looks mattered quite alot to her. " I guess... I could be as ready as I will be for this... when you are..." she said with a half smile

"Just getting a little warm thatss all." In one fluid motion, Sinent was on his feet near the edge of the tall grass. "Now once we enter the tall grasss try to keep in ssight of me, but if you happen to loosse me sstay where you are and I'll find you." Turning to face the long stalks of grass, the snake like male pushed his paw through and pushed down, causing a large V to form. "Normally I would have you go firsst misss... but I think it wisser that I lead." Smiling he stepped through the makeshift enterance and waited just beyond it for his student. "Come through when ever you are ready Ssaeraphena."
