The teen slumped through the hallways, utterly and entirely unamused with anything that was happening. The day had started off a little rough. His good night's sleep' wasn't good at all. He was plagued with strange dreams and the thought that classes were starting in the morning. Early in the morning. How troublesome. He hated school. Sure, elementary was easy to sleep through and pass. Hell, so was Junior High, however, he had a bad feeling about High School. Classes would be more difficult...well, not really. Everything was easy for him. He could be in Senior classes and still breeze through it. Not that he was going to let his teachers know that. He was going to act as slow and help needing as possible. He hated the attention that a teacher would give him if he were known as the most intelligent in the room. And he knew he would be known as that unless he acted stupid. Which really wasn't that difficult. Anyone would be able to do that.
Shikamaru turned the corner and slowly walked into his English classroom. Why did this blasted class have to be so close to his dorm room? He couldn't use the excuse that he got lost. He didn't want to seem that stupid. He glanced around the room with heavy lids, attempting to decide where he would rather sit. In the front with Rock Lee, in the back with Shino and Naruto or in the middle where most kids who had any sense would sit. If you sat in the middle by choice, that showed that you weren't exactly intelligent but it showed that you could handle something on your own without the teacher being on your case the whole time. The front was where the goody goodies sat. In the back was where the people who really couldn't care less or were actually stupid sat. Shikamaru actually didn't care about school, but as mentioned before, he wasn't stupid enough to fall into the guidelines of the seating chart that had been created so many years before their existence. Shikamaru made up his mind and sat in the middle by the window, where he could watch the clouds drift by. When he wasn't sleeping, that is.

((>.< I used two different posts for my introduction, just in case.))
The morning of the young Uchiha was simple in the complicated way. He rolled out of bed to take a shower, waking earlier then his room mate so he could use the hot water before it was gone, washed up, dried off, and got dressed. He then brushed his teeth, shaved away any stubble that had appeared over night if there was any, applied deodorant and fixed his hair to do the desired sticking up. He then grabbed his school utensils and left the dorm room before his room mate even woke up. The only one he knew that actually woke up before himself aside from most of the teachers was Rock Lee. And they didn't share a room. That was a good thing seeing as he would have to wake up even earlier than he would like to. Sasuke would then eat a light breakfast, pack a snack and go outside for some fresh air before class started. With his MP3 player, of course. When Sasuke returned to the building, the halls would be bustling with students rushing to gather their things, going to class, skipping or talking to friends until the warning bell rang.
Sasuke was walking through the halls finding his way to his first hour class, English. He hated the fact that none of the students were given the knowledge of who their teachers would be before the school year started. It drove him crazy. Not that he let that show. He never really let much show. He found it much more convenient to show nothing than to show everything. He glanced at the boys that were clumping in the halls, making it difficult to navigate without running into someone. Of course, Sasuke had perfected this already. It wasn't as difficult as most claimed it to be as long as you paid attention to where you were going. Sasuke noticed a couple of envious stares. He was glad that this was an all boys school. At his previous school he had been haunted by fangirls stalking his every move. Of course, there was bound to be at least a couple of gay males in a school this large. There were more of the homosexual type than most would like to admit. It was just fairly difficult to tell most of the time. Gay males meant fan boys, which he was sure could be just as bad as fangirls.
He turned the final corner to his classroom and entered it. There had only been about a minute and a half until the school day was to begin. The warning bell should ring at any time. He glanced around at the nearly empty classroom was in no way shocked. Many were late for first hour classes. Sasuke noticed Naruto in the back. The annoyingly loud and exuberant blonde had to be hiding something. No one is that uncaring as to what others thought about them all the time. He noticed Aburame Shino next to him, Nara Shikamaru in the middle, and Rock Lee in the front. His gaze then wandered to the front of the classroom to see who the teacher was. He nearly froze when he saw who it was. He glared at his older brother as he moved to his seat in the middle. He turned his gaze at a 'Shakespeare' poster he saw hanging on the wall and decided to read what it said over and over again, in a very not caring way. He would look at his brother as less as possible. The b*****d was perfect to everyone. He got all the attention. He was only in his lower twenties and he was already teaching High School level classes. He was gorgeous to just about everyone and had such great skills as a ninja. Sasuke's goal was to surpass him, and by god, he would do it.
Sasuke looked then to the clock, anxious for the class to start so it could then be over. Hopefully, no one would decide that they wanted to talk to the ever popular Uchiha.

((Sorry! I haven't had a lot of time the past few days. I'll post now. ^__^))
Noticing Shikamaru wander his lazy self in he smiled at him with a small wave. Then there was Sasuke... The ever-popular, pretty-boyistic, b*****d that he just wanted to hit. He glared, though part of him wanted to wave and have him sit next to him. Uzumaki laughed at the glare the Uchiha-b*****d gave to his brother. Ah, he was so jealous. At least Sasuke-chan had an older brother; he always wanted a sibling, though Shino was a pretty good friend. A loud bell rang indicating that class was about to start; he sighed and laid his head down, he wasn't feeling so energetic anymore.

Shikamaru gave Naruto a lazy wave then started staring out the window. The loud bell rang, making his eardrums vibrate for a couple more seconds after the annoying noise had stopped. 'What a drag, I hate school.' he thought to himself. He knew that the last stragglers would either be just in the nick of time, a little late, or they would come in half way through the class. How could you be late to school when you live in the same building as the classes? Or a similar building that was right next to it. And getting lost wasn't exactly a factor that should have been counted seeing as they were all trying to be high ranking ninja and shouldn't be getting lost in the first place. It was a horrible excuse. Why couldn't they just say they didn't feel like coming to class? Because they would get in trouble. Shikamaru knew that a lot of the students didn't want to get in trouble. He also knew the ones that tried to only wanted attention. He glanced back at Naruto, 'Yes, that thought was directed at you.' he continued in his train of thoughts that no one could here, lazily gazing out the window at the clouds that reflected the rising sun.
Sasuke released a sigh that he had been holding in. He had no idea what the sigh was for or why he had been holding it in, but he let it out. The second he did, he regretted it. What if someone heard it and jumped to the conclusion that he actually seemed like he cared about his older brother? Seeing as that was the person he had most recently been giving the attention to. Well, he didn't. He only cared about surpassing him and finally being the one everyone looked to, not Itachi. But then again, he didn't want to be the one that everyone looked to. Sometimes, he just wished the world would leave him out of their thoughts and dreams. It got aggravating, having people always look to him for help or affection. Did they not get that he really could care less? Unless it was important and involved him, he didn't want a part of it. His life was already complicated enough. The thing he had to focus on now was not throwing himself at his brother and beating him with a black board eraser.
Sasuke was almost lost in the thoughts of how he could care less when he felt someone staring at the back of his head. He already knew who it was without having to look. The only one in the back of the class that would actually glare at him. He turned to look the blonde haired, blue eyed boy in the eyes. He met the glare but noticed that it was not the same glare that he usually got from jealous guys, it was somewhat of a longing glare. Sasuke had no idea what had come over him, but, he picked up his belongings and walked to the back of the classroom. He dropped his things on the open desk to the side of Naruto and sat down.
"Hey dobe." He said with a smirk. He had become accustom to using the nickname he had made for the blonde instead of just using his real name. Well, Naruto often replied with 'Sasuke-teme' or something of the sort, "Wonderful start to a wonderful morning, eh?" he asked, his words seeped in sarcasm with a slight hint of malice. His gaze had drifted to his brother as he spoke the last sentence but as soon as he realized that he was no longer paying attention to Naruto, he snapped his gaze back, wondering what the other teens reaction would be.

Haku had rushed into class just as the minute bell had rung and was settling himself into a seat near the door, trying to blance his large sketch book on top of his books and notebooks for clas while trying his best to not lose his pens, His chocolate brown eye lingered over the body og the young teacher in the front of the toom. Yummy. But no. Not my type though. He wouldn't be able to play Seme. I'm only an Uke. He thought in refrence to the hidden stash of yaoi books that lay under his bed in the dorm.
Dark brown hair was pushed behind a pale ear by a pale hane. Dark eyes looked at the almost perfect nails as Haku waited. He didn't need to look around the classroom to see who else was in his class. He roomed with the younger Uchiha (who didn't quite match up to hismolder brother in looks. Yet anyways. But would be more likely to play Seme). At that thought Haku giggled to himself. He knew the blond in back, next to Sasuke, by face and name and that was it for the people he knew by more then face.
He pulled his sketch book onto his desk and opened to the first page -New book!- as pulled a pen out of his pocket and starting to draw the Uchiha brothers, giggling to himself the whole time. "Ooh, Sasuke-kun will kill me when he sees this." He muttered, still giggling. As he started drawing the younger Uchiha cowering under neath what would be his brother.

(( Hey, don't worry about it, they're both awesome :3))
The bell rang loud and clear through the hallways causing the elder Uchiha to look up from his newspaper- he was right in the middle of an article about the Hyuuga Clan- and onto the students. Silently, he placed the paper down as he stood, grabbing a single sheet of paper as he did so.
Narrow red eyes scanning the classroom, he glanced down t the sheet in one hand, a thin, normal penicl in his other hand, which he used to check of the names of his new students. He went through them in his head. Aburame Shino, here... Rock Lee, here...Nara Shikamaru, here...Uchiha... He stopped short at this name, a think smile curling on his lips. Well, Well. He gave a quick scan around the room, placing the name to a face, but not looking long enough for his little brother to notice. How did he not see that name? ...Sasuke. Here. Uzumaki Naruto...here.
As the bell gave it's last toll though the hallways, the twnty-one year old man clearned his throat. "Good morning, class." he greeted- one could say that he sounded cold, but really, that was a friendly as he could muster. "Welcome to my class. I'm Uchiha Itachi, your teacher for this year." With his long, almost graceful strides, he approched a nearby cabinet, withdrawing several of the same books.
"Could I get a volunteer to pass these out?"

Naruto was surprised when the younger Uchiha looked back and... Sat next to him? For a moment he stared in confusion, but allowed his mind to blow it off. "Teme.." he muttered, averting his attention to the speaking teacher. 'Books? Damn, another thing I'll lose...' he thought. Deciding that now was the time to zone out, he let his mind wander where it pleased as he stared at nothing, though it looked like he was staring at the teacher intently.

((Thank you! You aren't too bad yourself, there pal.))
Shikamaru watched carefully as Itachi checked the attendance. He didn't trust the older Uchiha. He had the air of a sadistic, manipulating b*****d to him. Then again, everyone was pretty hard to trust. Shikamaru was always reading to stop a kunai that would stab him in the back. There were only five people he really trusted, his father(although he was an a** sometimes), Chouji, Ino, Asuma and Naruto. The rest he really didn't know what to think about. He didn't know any of them well enough and he didn't really intend to. What happened, happened. If they wanted to talk to him, so be it. But he wouldn't go out of his way to talk to someone who would most likely turn against him if the odds were in their favor. Shikamaru shook his head and looked back to the window. No way in hell was he passing out papers. It was a waste of time. Why couldn't teachers do that themselves?
As Shikamaru was watching the clouds float by, he was subconsciously drawing a circle repeatedly on his desk with his fingertip. The feel of the fake wood against the skin was strange but it had somewhat of a comfortable feel. But it also had a confining feel, the feel that said, 'you are stuck here so deal with it.' Shikamaru sighed quietly and rested his head in his hand. He was amazed that he hadn't fallen asleep yet.
((Don't worry about that. You get better with practice.))
Sasuke heard the shuffle of paper then looked up towards the front of the classroom. He grimaced in the general direction of his brother. Why did he out of all the people in the world have to be teaching them? Why couldn't it have been someone else? Anyone else! Sasuke held in another sigh and looked around the classroom. His eyes fell on Haku, his room mate. The one that slept so late. He tried to see what he was drawing, but the other was too far away. He knew Haku generally drew Yaoi. Hell, Sasuke knew for a fact that Haku had practically an infinite amount of that stuff under his bed. He giggled almost all night long with his flash light and his books, but Sasuke had gotten used to it. One night, he swore Haku was. . . relieving himself as he was reading those. That night light to some very vivid dreams.
Sasuke's cheeks flushed at this thought and he slammed his forehead on the desk to prevent anyone from seeing him before he regained composure. He was sure to have attracted the attention of others in the class, however. Sasuke took a couple of deep breaths and shoved the thoughts out of his head. It wasn't as if he lusted for Haku, it was just that when strange noises are made at night, whether he is awake or not, they lead to very vivid images and dreams. Sasuke took another breath and sat up. He folded his hands and propped his elbows onto the desk, resting his chin and mouth behind them. He looked to his brother when he asked the class for a volunteer. He just responded with a little glare then a stare in the general direction of that 'Shakespeare' poster once again.
Sasuke heard Naruto mumble the response he was waiting for a smirked. He pulled out a piece of paper and scratched down a couple words in his neat and precise handwriting. He wrote, 'What was that dobe? I couldn't hear you. You should speak up, you know.' He then folded it then slipped it onto the corner of Naruto's desk.

Haku finished the rough sketch of his drawing and grinned. This was to good to wait to show to his room mate. Though he hadn't made it all too clear what was hapening he was sure his roommate wuld get the idea. He ripped the rough sketch out and folded it up scrawling sasuke's name on it and placing on the desk of the person closest to him, Shikamaru's. "Hey, can you pass this back to Sasuke?" He asked softly before turning back to his sletch book to do the rough sketch again this time with more details. His chocolate gaze kept flicking back to his roommate to see his reaction. I wonder how much he'll explode when he figures out that the picture is him and his brother. He thought brusting into a full fit of giggles.

((Shikamaru is evil. >.<))
Shikamaru looked down at the folded piece of paper with Sasuke's name on it. He frowned slightly and picked it up. He felt that it was drawing paper. What would Haku want to draw for Sasuke? Did they have something going on between them that was more than friendship? Shikamaru couldn't help but smirk at that thought. Yeah right. Sasuke wouldn't date Haku. He would need to have a very good reason to do something like that. But, curiosity got the best of him and Shikamaru slipped his finger under the corner of the fold to see what it was. He saw a hand. He pulled it open more to see the whole image. Shikamaru looked unamused for a couple seconds, then he bit his lip so he wouldn't start laughing. Boy would the expression on Sasuke's face be priceless when he saw this. Shikamaru pulled out his cell phone but kept it out of sight. He refolded the image and turned to Sasuke. He brandished it and gave it a little toss to the younger Uchiha. Once it got to him, he didn't turn around. Instead he flipped open his camera phone and prepared to take a picture. This had to go down as documentation. Now, he could be really mean and tell Itachi after Sasuke had looked at it and say he was passing notes. But that may get Haku in trouble, too. Shikamaru grinned, it may get another in trouble but this was so worth it.
Sasuke looked over to Shikamaru as the other tossed the folded piece of paper to him. He looked at the handwriting and looked over to Haku. He would recognize that boy's handwriting anywhere. It was too distinct not to. He had a quizzical expression on his face as he unfolded the piece of paper. When he had unfolded it, he was looking at it upside down so he had no idea what he was looking at. Then he realized what he was doing and flipped it over. He examined the picture closely. At first he had no idea who the people were, he just thought it was another one of Haku's dream sketches. Then he started noticing some definable features. When he finally realized what it was, his face flushed red in embarrassment and he made a very indignant noise and dropped the paper. He thought he heard a clicking noise of a camera but he wasn't paying attention to that at that point in time. His gaze fell to Haku. His eyebrow twitched a little and he had a look on his face that said, 'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!'.
Shikamaru grinned as he took the picture. He quickly stashed his phone afterwards and looked back to Itachi who seemed very absorbed in the papers that were in his hands. How had he not noticed any of that?
"Eh, Itachi-Sensei, I think Uchiha is passing notes." This was going to be good. If Itachi would react like Shikamaru thought he would, this would make a great little video. He was very good at secretly filming things with his phone, but he didn't want to push it with Itachi. After all, he was one of the best ninja in the world.

Lee was sitting in front and listened to the teacher, his eyes showing how concerntated he was on learning and doing his best. He looked around and saw some of his fellow students messing around in the back of the classroom. His roomate Kiba was not present.
"Hmmm... Must be sleeping again. I have to advise him that addtendence is vital to learning!"
Shino had been listening to his friends conversations and had nodded and added a few comments of his ocassionally. Mostly he was trying to pay attntion, even if it was useless with all the commotion the others were making.
"Do you guys want to fail this class?"

Naruto had blinked, taking up the note that was passed to him by Sasuke. After reading it he just crumpled it and looked away, muttering 'Teme' once more. He had observed the entire scene that had just happened and was laughing a little. Curiously, he picked up the note and looked at the paper. His eye went wide and he felt his face grow hot in a blush. Haku had drawn Uchihacest!? He closed his eyes and looked away, letting the note drop. He took a few slow breaths and looked away. Why did the stupid picture have an effect on him. He felt somewhat jealous of Haku for being Sasu-teme's room mate, of the elder Uchiha for getting all of his younger brother's attention, and he couldn't help but wonder... Why? Why was he so jealous of them all? He let himself glance at Sasuke, trying to suppress his blush further.

The look on Sasuke's face was completely indescribable. It was a mix of indignation, anger, confusion and down right disgust. What the hell was that? He swear he heard Naruto mumble 'Teme' once more so he looked over to the blonde to try and regain composure by responding with a smart alleck remark but then he saw the other looking at the picture. His eyes followed the image as it slowly wafted to the floor. His coal eyes traveled back up to Uzumaki Naruto's face. Seeing the other blush only made him turn an even deeper shade of scarlet. He wasn't used to losing his composure to this degree in front of his peers. It was very awkward, but in front of Naruto? That was just downright bizarre to him.
Sasuke noticed Naruto glance at him and he opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. What should he say? Was it important to make Naruto think that this wasn't how he felt? What was the other thinking? Why did he care so much? Wait, why was Naruto blushing? Sasuke's gaze slowly shifted back down to the picture then to his brother. Then Sasuke did the only thing someone who isn't thinking clearly at the time does. He dashed out of the classroom, knocking over his desk and all of the items that were on top of it.
Shikamaru watched as the Uchiha ran out of the room. Well, wasn't that interesting? What a reaction he had witnessed by the ever so popular and level-headed Sasuke. This was great. Yet, he was beginning to think that this had gone too far. Had he hurt Naruto in the process of making fun of Sasuke? Shikamaru let none of the emotions in his thoughts surface. He just stared out the window. Then a thought popped into his head.'Ino would kill me if she found out I played a part in this. Well, it is a good thing that this is an all boys school then, huh?' Was that all he could think about at a time like this? He looked to the door once more and he thought about the young man that had just lost his cool and ran out before he could explode in front of his classmates. Was this sympathy he was beginning to feel for the one whom he resented so greatly?
