L sat at his desk, slouching tiredly while looking at the computer. Light was beside him, handcuffed to him. The handcuffs were starting to really chaff his skin, but he wasn't about to mention it, let alone take them off. He looked over at Light, wondering what he was thinking.

Light sighed softly, as he was sitting in a comuter chair, as he glanced at a screen, he was plaining many death's in advance. The handcuff's around his wrists were hurting and they were starting to make him feel uncomfortable. So he can't even leave at all, the only time he can get these removed as he heads back to his apartment he sahres with Misa.
Light has been quiet for awhile, as he watched the screens.

A third Kira, it had to be the only explanation for all the recent deaths. The dead weren't criminals, just members of corporations. And then there was the possibility that the entire thing was a red herring just to confuse him. He wondered what Light thought, not just to test him, but also because L found himself valuing Light's opinion more and more.
"Do you think this is the first Kira, the second Kira, or not Kira at all?" L looked at Light, awaiting his answer.

Light can already tell this was the second Kira's doing, but he had palnned it from the start, and told Misa what to do. he had to also keep his word to rem, and protect her, and make her innocent, even though it might cost him his life.
Ligth snapped from his deep thinking and he glanced over at L and smiled abit,"Judging from this it has to be the second Kira, plus if so many heart attacks just occured we can assume if fromt eh second Kira"he said, with confidence.

L was surprised, he was sure that Light would have thought it was a third Kira, too. It just seems obvious.
"Wait," thought L, "What if this is a setup and Light is making appear as if there is a third Kira, to clear himself or the second Kira? Or what if there really is a third Kira, and Light just hasn't thought of the possibility yet?" L fiddled with his hair and thought of this, "Am I overrating Light? I'm starting to think that if he doesn't come to the same conclusion of me than I'm wrong..."
"You're sure it's the second Kira? Why?" L addressed Light.

Light sighed softly, as he stayed calm and collective.
He blinked, as the other thinking outloud, yet again, assuming he's Kira. He wasn't sure if he was talking to him or himself, the way, the other wasn't looking at him.
He blinked,"Gomen?"He said, softly."Yeah, but there is a possibility it's the third Kira"he said.

"The killings are just so different now...I think it's quite likely. If it isn't a third Kira, then who is it? The original Kira? The second Kira?"

[I'm having writer's block a bit, too.]
L was quiet for a bit before he spoke.
"On a lighter note, you have a date with Misa, do you not?" L gestured towards the handcuffs, "Oh course, I will accompany you."
L had not ruled out Misa as being a Kira, and he looked forward to the informal oppurtunity to observe her.

Light blinked,"Yeah"he said, softly. Somehow he couldn't believe that the other was not a pervert, but then again,who couldn't like Misa? he didn't like her in that sense but she was very useful indeed to him, thats why he consider going out with her and he made that promise to Rem to protect her.

"I already knew that"he said, he didn't have that much interest in her anyway as long as he gets closer to his goal to becoming god of this new world.
