Bleh, one of those chapters where I don't have the slightest clue what's going on. Nice to see Sasuke escaped by the skin of his teeth. And poor Manda. I didn't know summoned creatures could be killed. I figured once they took damage, they simply vanished back to their own world. I guess that blast hit all at once. As for Tobi, something's not right. When Deidara died, his astral form thing vanished, but Tobi didn't have one. Zetsu just assumed that Tobi and Sasuke died because there was nothing left after the explosion. But maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I'd have to say my favorite Akatsuki is Itachi, cus I think he's cute. Other then that, I hate the Sharingan, (Minus Kakashi, *huggles kakashi plushie*). Personally, I think Kakashi should either have Chidorid'd Sasuke, his brother should have used the Mangekyo on him, or Naruto should have Rasenganed his rear. If you wanna know my favorite Naruto character, its a tie between Gaara, and Kakashi, (though if I could have one of them, forget Gaara, he's cute but scary!!!)

If anything could be more traumatizing than Tobi's fate in 363, it would be his identity in 364. The way Kishimoto enjoys traumatizing me, in 365 he's going to have Kakashi kill a kitten.

The whole "Space/Time" jutsu thing doesn't make sense. I think something was lost in translation on that one.
My theory is that a "Space/Time" jutsu actually refers to the summon. I only think this because, honestly, where the ******** in this universe are the giant talking monsters coming from? They must be from some other plain.
So, it could be that it's possible to summon something, and then "teleport"(thought I use this term loosely) the summon somewhere else. It's probably impossible to "teleport" yourself, which would explain why Sasuke came out of Manda's mouth.
re: Chapter ******** anyone else know that Karin could sense Chakra? And how the ******** did she know they were tracking by scent? That seems kinda like a stab in the dark.
Also, Karin? Ya, I'm just gonna go ahead and call the dictionary, alright? They can put a picture of your next to the definition of "Sasuke fangirl", right next to the picture of the obese, acned white girl wearing a sideways headband and forming seals. Seriously, carrying around Sasuke's old, sweaty clothes? That's not just creepy, it's also a convenient plot device. Who'd a thunk it?
And yes, I meant to say Thunk. Don't question it, fools.
Oh man, and Naruto? Thanks for finally doing what you should have done IN THE FIRST ******** PLACE! He could've just made like, a thousand shadow clones a couple chapters ago, considering that what they see and experience he'll know about, and he knows about this. They probably would've spotted Sasuke BEFORE the fight. ******** kinda like the end of the Chapter though. It made me remember that Naruto is actually his surname, and Uzumaki is his first name.
You know, now that I think about it...there are few characters, that I can think of at least, who are referred to in this series by only their surnames.

Um, in Japan, names are said "last name, first name." Naruto is the main character's first name, although the Japanese way of saying his full name is "Uzumaki Naruto."

Okay... thanks for the rant.
Summoning is just one form of Space/Time jutsu. If you remember anything of the Kakashi Gaiden, the 4th used a jutsu called "Flying Thunder God Technique". We first see him use the ability when he meets with that outnumbered group. He puts seals on all the kunais and tells the men to throw them. The 4th could use the seal to almost instantaneously appear where the seal was thrown. Jiraiya explains time/space jutsu a bunch of chapters ago when he was teaching Naruto how to summon.
And Karin's displayed the ability to sense chakra when the group was looking for Juugo. Sasuke asks her if any of those people taken over by the curse seal was Juugo and she tells him no, and he also ask her where Juugo is once they're inside.
And you're forgetting something. The point of the mission was to capture Sasuke, or find Itachi. A shadow clone wouldn't last 5 seconds against either one. You expect them to just sit in one spot and wait for one of the clones to find something, so then whoever the clone finds has enough time to escape while everyone starts running to the spot the clone was?

And you think that they're moving around right now, while Naruto's clones are trying to find Sasuke? They're still trying to figure out which way he's actually gone. One of the greatest benefits of the Shadow Clone is that it can be used to do scouting and the like, regardless of whether the creator is moving or not.
So no, I didn't expect them to just stand still and wait, but it they probably would've caught up with them sooner had Naruto just made, I dunno, like a thousand or so.
Aside from that, considering he Shadow Clones can create the Rasengan and all, chances are they can make their one clones too. So, should they encounter Sasuke and "Hebi", the clone can just make MORE clones and they can just ******** Zerg Rush him until the flesh-and-blood shinobi get there.
Logically, it makes sense. However, it's almost as though the Leaf ninjas just...don't use Logic.
That aside, I don't recall them every talking about Space/Time jutsus, so I'm gonna re-read a little. And I seriously don't remember ANYTHING from that Kakashi Gaiden, except for that Body Flicker thing.

... the clones making more clones? Um, even Naruto doesn't have infinite chakra. If he made like 10 clones, then his chakra is divided evenly amongst those 10, so at best he's 1/10th his strength. If one of those clones uses a shadow clone jutsu, then the clones become even weaker. And this isn't a scouting mission, they're trying to capture either Itachi or Sasuke. The clones would be great for just finding someone, but tracking and stealth are not Naruto's skills, in fact, the opposite is true. Whoever he found would have just gotten away and defeat the purpose. Yes they're not moving now, but they know they're close because they have Sasuke's scent. All the clones are doing are eliminating possibilities so they can go after the real scent. Sasuke has absolutely no interest in dealing with Naruto and the Leaf, so he'd avoid any conflict. And with his sharingan, he could literally see Naruto coming a mile away.

Theoretically he does have infinite Chakra. It's been discussed numerous times in the manga. Kyuubi essentially grants him an infinite amount of Stamina. Stamina is converted into Chakra, therefore he has an almost infinite amount.
I say theoretically because...Well, we haven't seen him run out of Chakra yet. We've seen him pass out or get knocked out a bunch of times, but not actually run out of Chakra. In fact, I think the first person we've actually seen run out of Chakra was during the Sasuke/Deidara fight, though neither or them really did run out, Deidara said that Sasuke was close to running out, so I'm assume that he was indeed correct.

Theoretically, the only way he could use that "infinite" chakra would be to surrender his will to kyuubi, at which point he's no longer Naruto.

Putting all this aside my theory on the fourth is not that he was using time/space ninjutsu, that would be pointless. sure the kunai would allow him to get to places he can't see and avert the risk of time/spacing yourself into the middle of a wall and dieing instantly such as the x-man night shadow or w/e the ******** his name was had been afraid of happening...but more logically...
The seals on the kunai were containing chakra, more specifically the fourth's chakra. Now lets say that the fourth really is the father of naruto...we know 2 things so far...
1) elements of what a person can use with chakra seem to be passed down genetically. All of the uchiha clan which is abunch of interbred hicks basically all use fire jutsu techniques...every...last...one...of...them. If they can't use fire based jutsu? they're considered a pansay and kicked outa the clan until they learn to.
2) If you were paying attention to 1...Naruto uses wind based jutsus apparently even though he fails at techniques and has to abuse leet kyuubiness to learn anything aside from shadow clones.
Back to assuming he fourth is naruto's daddy it would be safe to assume that the fourth also used wind based techniques based on statement number 1. Now if he really was a wind ninjutsu user it would theoretically be possible for the fourth hokage to use a wind jutsu which pulled the air infront of him around his body and behind it creating a small vortex around him which pushed him through the air, or at the very least he could push the air out of infront of him which would make movement far easier and allow you to move much quicker due to the fact of less wind resistance. This opens up the possibility of the fourth using techniques which allow him to 'flicker' around the battlefield moving far faster then any ninja would be able to normally move with physical strength alone but at the same time once you move past your natural limits your body's senses won't be able to keep up with you anymore.
THAT brings us to our next point...the kunai, beings that moving so fast your eyes wouldn't be able to register anything seeing that it would all be a huuuge blur you would need to figure out a way to bypass this...such as kunais with special seals that contain your chakra in them. No longer needing to see you could simply focus only on your chakra, and be able to know your location based on where you know your kunai marked down with your own chakra to be. This would be a technique very similar to the dual fanged tetsuuga of kiba/akamaru's where they spin so fast in the dual headed wolf form they can no longer tell where the hell they're going, but manage to bypass the need of sight by marking them with akamaru's scent and now only need to be able to smell out their foes which they have no problem doing.
