I need to.....get on Gaia more.
sweatdrop xd I agree completely. At a certain point I just stopped caring and now I just ignore most people, since we can't communicate in any way other than small talk. I have one friend who is similar however, her mom is a professor and whatnot.
I don't do that great in school subjects; some of them because I don't have the aptitude for it, but most because I don't try my best in case the teacher decides to mortally humiliate me and use my assignment as an example. Then all the noobs converge around me and ask me for help, and to teach them this, and teach them that. Then I say, "I think you can do it yourself. You see this sheet the teacher handed out? Try reading it. It might help." But give me any computer program and I'll have it learned in a week. (High School courses are also indefinably dull, un-challenging, and terminally boring.)
My friend and I both have the issue where when we raise our hand in class to point something out, or contribute a point of view; then we get glared at by the other students, and sometimes the teacher even looks shell-shocked by *gasp* a different opinion than what the government-approved response is? Lies and blasphemy!
It's also kinda funny how some honor students aren't actually smart. They just study all the time; then when they get to higher levels of university where they have to actually
think, they panic and go *girly voice* "lyke, omg, I don't get it, it doesnt tell me how to do it in the text book.."
(My mom ran into this when she attended university.)
*huff*
